Show notes

In this episode of Coastal Idiots Katherine and Shane lock themselves in the studio to bask in the radiant chaos of comedy legend Eddie “Pump It Up” Pepitone. They gush over their hero while Eddie reflects on his heroes—most of whom Katherine pretends to recognize. The discussion ranges from Eddie’s battle with good looks on stage, the mental illness lure of comedy and Eddie’s trying to escape a murder scene in Fort Worth. The gang then plays “Airing of Grievances,” forcing Eddie to spit out the first word that comes to mind when shown random pop culture icons. The spectrum is broad: Machine Gun Kelly, Slinkies, Ron Jeremy… truly a fever dream of references. Finally, they dig into listener voicemails answering the eternal question: What’s the worst thing your mom has ever said to you? Mama Bia-tch! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Halloween in March w/ Laura Peek | Coastal Idiots Podcast - Episode 007 Dec 04, 2025

Show notes

In this episode of Coastal Idiots… Shane and Katherine got their months mixed up so we’re celebrating Halloween in March! They don their sluttiest costumes, a uterus and tampon and invite their goofiest friend, Laura Peek to join them for the classic fall activity, bobbing for apples! But uh oh- all the orchards have burned down so the crew must bob for LA’s proudest export, street vendor food. Winner gets to nom on soggy street meat. Back in the studio, things flow about as smoothly as… well… a uterus and tampon. The gang debates the correct posture of the fallopian tubes, speculates on what’s really inside a woman’s body, and then takes a scenic detour into the reproductive wilderness. We inspect the unique exodus of tampons, bowels and mucus. Spooky and educational, in the worst way possible. Finally, they close out with listener voicemails featuring haunted tales and try their best to roast these ghosts! Oooogy Boogy! ++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Trust, Sweat and Fears! w/ Chris Estrada | Coastal Idiots Podcast - Episode 006 Nov 27, 2025

Show notes

In this episode of Coastal Idiots…Katherine attempts to prove just how cultured she is by confusing Henry Kissinger with Henry Winkler. A totally understandable mix-up—one destabilized countries, the other warmed them with his leather jacket. Meanwhile, Shane gets hot and bothered reminiscing about his childhood boxing idol and has to excuse himself to… cool off. While he’s gone, Katherine seizes the moment, cracks open his diary, and dives in. Naturally, this sparks a simmering tension that’s been buffering between the airwaves. But rather than break up the band, they bring in a professional: comedian and licensed-only-in-Colombia couples therapist, Chris Estrada. Chris guides them through trust exercises, emotional suppression (his specialty), mirroring (Katherine’s favorite) and trust falls that bruise more than just Shane’s ego. After several failed attempts at healing, the trio discovers the only thing that truly unites them: shared Catholic guilt and schadenfreude. Voicemails of botched therapy sessions, unresolved trauma, and more await in this episode—a giant red flag you’ll want to wrap yourself in like a cozy blanket of denial.

Hot Dog Colored Skin w/ Graham Kay | Coastal Idiots Podcast - Episode 005 Nov 20, 2025

Show notes

In this episode of Coastal Idiots…Katherine and Shane go comment for comment as they compare their most unhinged DMs and replies. After hearing the critics' reviews in Shane’s comments section, Katherine decides, in true LA fashion, it’s time for Shane to blend in—with a mobile spray tan, obviously. Cut to the duo in their skivvies, getting painted like discount Oscar statues in the middle of a public driveway. Once they’re sufficiently bronzed, nostalgia hits hard as the golden glow reminds them of 7/11 roller dogs. They reconvene in the studio with their hilarious pal and fellow hot-dog connoisseur, comedian Graham Kay, to share chaotic travel stories and debate the ultimate 7/11 death row meal. Things take a turn when Graham has a full-blown existential crisis over a massive mistake he made right before their big Tokyo trip. Oh—and there are listener voicemails, including a grown man swearing at a child’s birthday party, and an uncomfortable number of bare toes making guest appearances. Eat. It. Up. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Coastal Idiots is a weekly comedy podcast where each week your host Shane and Katherine are joined by a friend or two where they do something very stupid and hilarious. Body Shots | Dan Donohue w/ Coastal Idiots Podcast - Episode 004 Nov 13, 2025

Show notes

In this episode of Coastal Idiots…Katherine and Shane have spent enough time together to know exactly what kinds of monsters live deep inside them — so naturally, they make Hinge profiles for their inner demons. After reflecting on their lowly love lives, they decide the only reasonable next step is to drink their feelings. It’s a tale as old as time: one too many tequila shots leads to a hairy navel shot of bourbon… and when that doesn’t solve things? It’s time to take it up a notch with a few real body shots to the ribs. To balance things out (and their blood alcohol levels), K & S get some boxing tips from their pal, hilarious comedian, podcaster and lightweight amateur Dan Donohue — because nothing screams growth like punching stuff. Finally, the whole gang heads back to the studio to take calls about that classic dilemma: when someone’s glaring red flag is weirdly your favorite shade of green. Ding ding ding!
