The Last Will Be First in the Kingdom of Heaven | Day 295 Oct 22, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 295 | Matthew 20:1-16; Mark 10:32-34; Matthew 20:17-19; Luke 18:31-34; Mark 10:35-45; Matthew 20:20-34; Mark 10:46-52; Luke 18:35–19:27

In this episode, Jesus reveals what the kingdom of heaven is really like—a place ruled by God’s grace, not human fairness. Through the parable of the vineyard workers, we see a landowner who rewards each laborer equally, reminding us that God’s kindness cannot be earned. Jesus then teaches that greatness comes through humility and service, and He demonstrates this truth by seeking out Zacchaeus, the despised tax collector, to bring salvation to his house. God’s grace reaches all who turn to Him, no matter when or how they come.

God Honors the Humble, Not the Self-Righteous | Day 294 Oct 21, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 294 | Luke 18:9-14; Mark 10:1-12; Matthew 19:1-12; Mark 10:13-16; Matthew 19:13-15; Luke 18:15-17; Mark 10:17-31; Matthew 19:16-30; Luke 18:18-30

In Luke 18, Jesus tells the story of two men who went to the temple to pray—a proud Pharisee and a broken tax collector. The Pharisee boasted of his good deeds, but the tax collector simply cried out, “God, be merciful to me, a sinner.” Jesus declared that only the humble man went home justified. God resists the proud but draws near to the repentant heart. True righteousness begins when we stop comparing ourselves to others and admit our need for His mercy.

Jesus Raises Lazarus from the Dead | Day 293 Oct 20, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 293 | John 11:38-57; Luke 17:11–18:8

When Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb, people witnessed undeniable proof of God’s power—yet some still hardened their hearts. Later, Jesus told a story about a persistent widow to remind us to always pray and never give up. God’s timing may test our patience, but His love and faithfulness never fail. Whether you’re waiting for an answer or praying through pain, take heart—He hears you, and He is working for your good.

    A Fulfilled Life Begins with Surrender | Day 292 Oct 19, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 292 | Luke 14:25–17:10; John 11:1-37

Jesus calls every follower to count the cost and surrender everything for Him. In Luke 14, He reminds us that discipleship means letting go of anything we love more than Him. But surrender to Christ doesn’t lead to loss—it leads to freedom and joy. In the stories of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son, heaven rejoices when the lost are found. Fulfillment begins when we give up control and trust the One who is the resurrection and the life.

The Shepherd Who Gave His Life for the Sheep | Day 291 Oct 18, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 291 | John 10:1-42; Luke 13:22–14:24

In John 10, Jesus reveals Himself as the Good Shepherd—the one who lays down His life for His sheep and holds them securely in His hands. He is the only way to salvation, the giver of abundant life, and one with the Father. This powerful chapter proclaims the heart of the gospel: Jesus is both God and Savior, the Shepherd who knows His sheep by name and never lets them go.

Jesus Heals the Man Born Blind | Day 290 Oct 17, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 290 | Luke 12:35–13:21; John 9:1-41

Jesus calls His followers to keep their lamps burning—to live alert, faithful, and ready for His return. In Luke 12, we’re reminded that to whom much is given, much is required. Then in John 9, a man born blind receives both physical and spiritual sight, declaring, “I was blind, but now I see.” God calls each of us to keep the fire of faith alive, to obey His Word, and to shine the light of His truth in a dark world.

Jesus Warns Against Worrying About Life | Day 289 Oct 16, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 289 | Luke 11:14–12:34

In Luke 12, Jesus reminds His followers not to worry about food, clothing, or the future. If God feeds the ravens and clothes the lilies, how much more will He care for us? Derek shares a personal story of recovery and how God used a difficult season to strengthen his faith and reveal His kindness. Through every fear and uncertainty, God proves faithful—and He can be trusted with every detail of our lives.

Jesus Reveals the Power of Absolute Truth | Day 288 Oct 15, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 288 | John 8:21-59; Luke 10:1–11:13

Jesus teaches that true freedom comes only through knowing and surrendering to Him—the Truth. Many claim to believe, but genuine discipleship is proven by obedience and transformed lives. Those who cling to sin remain slaves, yet those who yield to Christ find liberty through His Spirit. In Luke 10, Jesus sends out seventy-two followers to share this truth, reminding us that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Did Jesus Lie to His Brothers? | Day 287 Oct 14, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 287 | John 7:1-9; Luke 9:51-56; Matthew 8:18-22; Luke 9:57-62; John 7:10–8:20

When Jesus told His brothers He wasn’t going to the Festival of Shelters but later went in secret, was He being deceptive? Skeptics often use this passage to question His perfection—but the truth reveals something deeper. Jesus wasn’t lying; He was following the Father’s timing, not His brothers’ demands. Today’s reading reminds us that God’s plans are never late, and His timing is always right, even when others don’t understand.

Forgive Seventy Times Seven | Day 286 Oct 13, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 286 | Mark 9:14-29; Matthew 17:14-21; Luke 9:37-43a; Mark 9:30-32; Matthew 17:22-23; Luke 9:43b-45; Matthew 17:24-27; Mark 9:33-37; Matthew 18:1-6; Luke 9:46-48; Mark 9:38-41; Luke 9:49-50; Mark 9:42-50; Matthew 18:7-35

Jesus rebukes His disciples for their lack of faith after they fail to cast out a demon, reminding them that even faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. But faith is more than belief—it’s trust that leads to action, including forgiveness. When Peter asks how many times he should forgive, Jesus answers “seventy times seven,” revealing that forgiven people must forgive freely. Today’s reading calls us to trust deeply and release completely.
