Four Ways to Read the Song of Songs | Day 155 Jun 04, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 155 | Song of Songs 1:1–8:14

The Song of Solomon is one of the most misunderstood and beautifully poetic books in the Bible. In this episode, we explore four major interpretations of the Song—from allegory to love song—and reflect on what it truly means to pursue love with passion, purity, and commitment. While it doesn't have a conventional plot, its rich Hebrew poetry celebrates the goodness of marriage and reminds us to treasure the relationships God has given us. Whether you're married or single, this book calls all of us to pursue love well—both in our relationships and in our walk with Christ.

    Day 154 | Proverbs 22:17–24:34

Proverbs 23 and 24 call us to examine every relationship in our lives—our relationships with people, work, wealth, alcohol, and most importantly, with the Lord and His wisdom. You Can Plan, But God Decides | Day 152 Jun 01, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 152 | Proverbs 17:1–19:29

Proverbs 17–19 offers some of the Bible’s most vivid, practical wisdom: peace at home is more valuable than abundance, a single rebuke says more than a hundred lashes, and the power of our words can shape lives. This episode explores the difference between harsh confrontation and loving correction, how to cultivate wisdom in our relationships, and why our plans must always bow to God’s higher purpose. With encouragement drawn from Proverbs and Ephesians, it challenges us to live Spirit-filled lives—speaking life, walking humbly, and trusting that the Lord's plan will prevail.

    Day 151 | Proverbs 14:1–16:33

Proverbs 14–16 challenges us to stop and examine our instincts. Some paths feel right—but lead only to destruction. The world often encourages emotional decision-making, blind belief, and reactive conflict, but God's wisdom tells a different story. This episode explores the danger of trusting appearances, the call to be discerning in what we hear and share (especially online), and how we can turn conflict into growth by responding with gentleness, humility, and self-control. These timeless principles speak directly into today’s culture—and they’re still the wisest way forward.

Proverbs 11–13 contrasts the world’s way with God’s wisdom, revealing a divine economy where giving leads to increase and humility precedes honor. The conversation explores what it means to trust God with your finances, decisions, and future—even when it looks like the wicked are winning. Day 149 | Proverbs 8:1–10:32

In this powerful section of Proverbs, wisdom is not just a concept—it is a voice calling out to all who will listen. Proverbs 8–10 paints a vivid portrait of wisdom as present before creation, rejoicing with God and delighting in humanity. The episode explores the theological depth of wisdom as a communicable attribute of God—one we are invited to share in through daily pursuit and obedience. Show notes

    Day 148 | Proverbs 5:1–7:27

Solomon warns his son—and us—about the seductive path of sexual sin. Proverbs 5–7 pulls no punches: the adulterous woman may look alluring, but her path leads to destruction. These chapters are a call to pursue wisdom, set boundaries, and stay far from the line of temptation. Along the way, Solomon also highlights the dangers of poor financial decisions and stirs the heart with wisdom on pride, humility, and integrity. The Father’s Plea: Don’t Ignore Wisdom | Day 147 May 27, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 147 | Proverbs 1:1–4:27

We begin the book of Proverbs—short, powerful sayings meant to guide us in godly, practical living. In today’s chapters, wisdom isn’t just an idea. She’s a voice, crying out to a distracted world. But can we hear her over the noise of our screens? Solomon reminds us that wisdom begins by trusting in the Lord, not leaning on our own understanding. These Proverbs are for the young, the simple, the wise—for all of us. The question is: will we just read them… or live them?

The Lord Brings Peace and Rest | Day 146 May 26, 2025
    Show notes

    Day 146 | 1 Kings 4:1-34; Psalm 72; Psalm 127

Under Solomon’s rule, Israel flourished—families had homes and gardens, peace surrounded the borders, and wisdom flowed from the king like never before. But Solomon knew the source: God gave Solomon wisdom. Today’s reading from 1 Kings and the Psalms reminds us that no success, peace, or lasting legacy comes from our hands alone. Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. In Psalm 72, Solomon prays for the future King—a prayer many believe looks forward to the Messiah. In Psalm 127, he reminds us all: God gives rest to those He loves.
