Today's guest is Brett Rodgers. Brett was raised in Temple, Texas and then attended Texas A&M University. He graduated in 1988 with a degree in Education. Later Brett earned a Masters of Education from Azusa Pacific University. During those years Brett Coached basketball at Westmont College. Then in 1996, Brett became the Area Director in San Antonio, Texas for Young Life. In 2004, Brett and his family moved to Austin where he became the Young Life College Director at the University of Texas. And later was promoted into the position where he currently serves – as VP of Young Life International University Initiatives. Brett and his wonderful wife Teresa have been married for 31 years and a big part of their life are their 2 Sons - Zachery and Blake

Ruth is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has served in the Army since his graduation. He is a decorated serviceman that has served in Bosnia, Afghanistan and Iraq. He is married to his wife, Bettina and they have 3 children Stephen Jr., Sterling and Sahara. He currently lives in College Station, TX where he serves as the Director of Task Force SORD.

A native Houstonian, Donnie Carr first began his career at Christian Brothers Automotive over fifteen years ago, working as a Service Writer. This experience gave him the necessary first-hand experience of serving customers with compassion and excellence. Donnie then joined the small but mighty Christian Brothers Automotive Home Office team. With only 12 members, he was able to engage with all pillars of the business from within the operations department–learning development, finance, marketing, and more. In this role, his primary responsibility was assisting with new store openings and providing support to existing locations.

In 2013, Donnie’s hard work and stand-out development results earned him the position of Director of Store Performance. In this position, Donnie oversaw new store growth of 75% by adding 83 stores. Additionally, under Donnie’s leadership, the average unit sales volume also increased by 35%. Most impressive, Christian Brothers Automotive total royalties increased by over 320% during this same time period. As director, he also created a coaching, training, and support team for franchisees that Christian Brothers Automotive still relies on today. Since this program’s development, the coaching team has grown to 8 coaches who champion our franchisees on a daily basis.

In 2016, Donnie’s proven success as Director of Performance led to his promotion to Vice President of Operations. In this position, he was responsible for driving both top- and bottom-line revenue streams for all Christian Brothers Automotive stores. Since 2018, Donnie has served Christian Brothers Automotive as President, leading the company to three consecutive $2 million dollar months for the first time in company history in 2019. Donnie lives in Katy, Texas, with his wife Beth and their two children.

Today's guest is Justin Giboney. Justin is an attorney and political strategist in Atlanta, GA. He is also the Co-Founder and President of the AND Campaign, which is a coalition of urban Christians who are determined to address the sociopolitical arena with the compassion and conviction of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mr. Giboney has managed successful campaigns for elected officials in the state and referendums relating to the city’s transportation and water infrastructure.

In 2012 and 2016, Georgia’s 5th congressional district elected him as a delegate for the Democratic National Convention and he served as the co-chair of Obama for America’s Gen44-Atlanta initiative. A former Vanderbilt University football player and law student, Justin serves on the Urban League of Greater Atlanta Board of Directors. Additionally, Justin has participated in LEAD Atlanta, Outstanding Atlanta and the Georgia Bar Association’s Leadership Academy. He’s written op-eds for publications such as Christianity Today and The Hill.

Today's guest is Robbie Seay. Robbie lives in Houston, TX with his wife of 21 years, Elizabeth, and their 5 children. He is widely known for his songwriting, worship leading and recording music, which still play a big role in his life & ministry. His most recent album “Psalms LP” is available wherever you listen to digital music. Robbie also serves as Director of Liturgy and Development at Risen Church in Cypress, TX.

His heart for the global church, the music of the church and worship leaders has led him to devote much of his time to mentoring and encouraging young leaders and songwriters as they enter the intersection of worship, church and art.

Learning that up to 80% of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are unemployed nationwide, The BEE Community was founded on the principle that everyone, regardless of ability or capacity, is made with inherent worth and the divine design to work and contribute. BEE provides meaningful work and a place of belonging for people of all abilities.

In addition to leading for many years in higher education, Lyle’s ministry experience includes serving as a Senior Pastor and church planter, as well as serving as Executive Senior Pastor at one of the largest churches in the nation. Lyle speaks at more than 100 events per year, and his personal mission is to “equip and encourage the leaders of leaders.” He and his wife, Ronda, have two grown children, Jordie and Michael.

Matt & Ginny Mooney founded 99 Balloons, an organization working with persons experiencing disability. 99 Balloons refers to what was released at the funeral of their first son, Eliot Mooney- each balloon representing a day he spent on this earth. Among the many gifts Eliot brought his parents, was a passion to help persons with disabilities and their families. They desire to change the story of disability by proclaiming the worth and image-bearing beauty of each and every human being.

What began with starting a small respite night called rEcess in their community has grown into a global movement championing relationships and inclusion for persons with disabilities- with now over 42 rEcess sites across 3 countries. Their story and work have been featured on The Today Show, National Geographic and The Oprah Winfrey Show, and we are honored to have them on the Chasing What Matters Podcast today!
