    Reed Livesay – the President and CEO of Pine Cove Christian Camps.

    Reed grew up in Spring, Texas, and graduated from Baylor University in 1996 with a BBA in Accounting where he played football for the Bears as well.

    Soon following graduation, Reed married his high school sweetheart Julie, and they have two amazing children, Conner and Emily.

    Prior to joining Pine Cove, Reed spent 10 years in the business sector working 2 years for Arthur Andersen in Houston, Texas and then 8 years starting and establishing a new business in Orlando, Florida.

    His passion for ministry and Christian camping eventually drew him back to Texas and Pine Cove where he has been instrumental in leading Pine Cove’s expansion and building efforts since his arrival.

    Today our guest is Timothy Ateek, also known as TA. TA has served as the Executive Director of Breakaway Ministries since 2016. With the lasting impact Breakaway had on him during his time at Texas A&M, TA considers it one of his greatest joys to now serve a new generation of students in the same way he once was served.

    Prior to moving to College Station, TA served as the Executive Director of Vertical Ministries in Waco for four years and the Student Ministry Pastor of Austin Ridge Bible Church in Austin for five years.

    TA earned a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and is a proud member of the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2003. TA and his wife, Kat (’04), are raising three future Aggies: Noah, Andrew, and Jake.

    Today our guest is Dr. Ben Welch. Dr. Welch serves as Executive Director of Halliburton Programs for the Center for Executive Development (CED) and Clinical Professor Emeritus for the Department of Management in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. He served on faculty from 1991-2019.

    Ben received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Dayton, his Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Houston Baptist University, and his Ph.D. in Educational Curriculum & Instruction from Texas A&M University.

    Ben and his wife, Sherri, have been married for twenty four years and have three children – Rachel who is 24, Ryan who is 21 and Graham who is 18. Ben and Sherri currently live in Henderson, TX.

Today he sells his unique recipe jelly at many HEB locations, community events, online and through his Facebook network to become recognized as a very special businessman.     Episode 32! Today our guest is Seth Buckley. Seth has served as the youth pastor at First Baptist Spartanburg for the last 25 years and is currently focusing on men’s ministry and working to mobilize adults to serve in the church and community. He was elected as the Vice President of the South Carolina Baptist Convention in doing so became the first non-senior pastor to serve in this capacity. He is a certified coach and mentor with the John Maxwell team and is the producer of the Seth Buckley leadership podcast.

    Seth is a graduate from Furman University with a degree in business administration. He then graduated from New Orleans Baptist theological seminary with a master’s in education. Seth is married to Robin and they have four boys, two daughters in law and two grandkids.

    Our guest today is Ambassador Lyndon Olson. Lyndon grew up in Waco and holds degrees from Baylor University in Religion and Political Science and a law degree from Baylor Law School. Lyndon served in the Texas House of Representatives and also served as Chairman of the Texas State Board of Insurance. Lyndon was nominated by President Clinton in 1997 to become the US Ambassador to Sweden. Lyndon has been and continues to be a leader in the corporate world. Lyndon served as a top leadership role with Citigroup for 8 years before becoming CEO of Travelers Insurance. Lyndon serves on the boards of a number of organizations – including Scottish Rite Hospital and the Baylor Scott & White Holdings Board. Lyndon is a recipient of a large number of prestigious awards – including the Gates of Jerusalem Award from the State of Israel and awards from the Texas Medical Association. For those who have had the privilege to getting to know Lyndon know him best as friend! Even though Lyndon and his wonderful wife Kay have lived in many places throughout the world – they proudly call Waco home where Lyndon also serves as an Elder in the Central Presbyterian Church. And if you met Lyndon he would more than likely introduce himself as a cattle rancher.

    Episode 29! Our guest today is Joel Allison. After more than 4 decades in healthcare leadership, Joel retired from the position of President and CEO of Baylor Scott & White Health.

    For more than 2 decades Joel worked to grow the system from a few hospitals and outpatient surgery centers in the DFW market – to a system of 48 hospitals and more than 1,000 patient accent points – making Baylor Scott & White Health – the largest health system in Texas.

    During his career, he served on a number of Boards – including the Healthcare Leadership Council and United Surgical Partners International.

    In addition, he served as Chair of the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Board, the Dallas Regional Chamber Board, and Chair of the Baylor University Board of Regents.

    Joel has received a number of awards and honors – including the American Hospital Association’s Award of Honor, Baylor’s B Association’s Wall of Honor, and the George W. Truett Distinguished Church Service Award from Baylor’s Alumni Association.

    Joel earned his bachelor’s degree in Religion and Journalism from Baylor University and his Master’s degree from Trinity University.

    Joel and his wife Diane have been married more than 50 years – and they have a daughter and two sons – and they are most proud of their 6 grandchildren.

    Episode 28! Our guest today is Alex Cabañas. Alex is passionate about leading and growing a company that makes a profound difference in the lives of employees, guests, owners, industry partners and the community. His life mission since college has been to create opportunities for others to be successful. As CEO, Alex is focused on strategic planning, people development, pursuing growth and new opportunities, promoting the delivery of memorable customer service and ultimately being the best third-party management company in the industry, acting in the best interest of owners every day.

    Alex was previously President, Business Development & Finance for Benchmark. During his tenure in business development roles, the company added 22 properties to its management portfolio, expanded into the Caribbean and added to its presence in Tokyo. The company also acquired MTM Luxury Lodging, which led to the launch of Gemstone Hotel Collection.

    Alex joined Benchmark in January 2006. Prior to joining Benchmark, he worked for The Boston Consulting Group from 2000 through 2005. While with BGC he worked with clients in a number of different industries including travel and tourism, government, consumer/retail, telecommunications, e-commerce, financial services, and energy. His assignments included a variety of different tasks including lodging investment proposal, market sizing and segmentation, competitive benchmarking, product development, process management, asset valuation, new business development and growth strategy.

    Alex earned his MBA at Harvard Business School and holds a BBA and MS in Finance from Texas A&M University. Alex is married to his perfectly-made-for-him wife, Heather and they have two energetic and out-going boys, Matthew and Eli. Alex enjoys his time with family, traveling and exploring together, any outdoor activity and is very involved in his church.
