This interview has been years in the making! We were thrilled to finally sit down with Tracy Moore, the award-winning host of Cityline. We hold a special place in our heart for Tracy. She was the first person to show up for us, to believe in us, to take a chance on us and to give us the boost of confidence we needed in a world we were just getting to know. We talk about the hurtful words of strangers on social media and standing up for yourself in the face of bad behaviour. We are done letting bad behaviour slide. The high road is sometimes too high. Thanks to Tracy's commitment to diversity and inclusion she has also produced and hosted one of Apple podcasts best series of 2020 – Cityline Real on Race. She is co-producer and co-host of Citytv’s RTNDA award-winning race special: Ending Racism: What Will it Take? and spearheads regular conversations on Cityline to raise awareness and inclusivity of folks who live at the intersectional margins. University Doesn't Guarantee You a Job Dec 13, 2022

Let's debunk the myth. Four years of university does not guarantee you a job. Maybe debt and life experiences, but not necessarily a job. University is not for everybody. Not everyone can access it and you don't need to have a university degree to be successful. That might be an unpopular opinion. Our children think university is the end goal. We are trying to teach them what their skill is versus what their grade is. We also chat at the top about childhood trauma versus parenting mistakes.There are things that happened to both us in our past, other people might say it is trauma. We don't see it that way. We look at our parents as human. Our parents thought they were doing the best they could.

Entertainment Tonight Canada Host Cheryl Hickey Dec 08, 2022

We had an incredibly honest (and fun) conversation with Canada's Sweetheart and friend, Cheryl Hickey, host of Entertainment Tonight Canada. Cheryl received more no's than yeses on the road to becoming who she is today and shares the realization that what you put out is what you get back. A lesson her mom taught her a long time ago. A valuable takeaway in an industry that, in the beginning, can be competitive and messy. Cheryl has interviewed powerful celebrities in Hollywood including Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Swift, Brad Pitt and Oprah Winfrey. She works closely with Toronto's SickKids Foundation and with Plan International Canada, an organization dedicated to advancing children's rights and equality for girls in over 75 countries across the globe. Not Everyone Is Looking Out For You Dec 06, 2022

This week we did a DEEP dive into a branded partnership that we pulled out of. We don't stand for bad behaviour. We love working with women. We have a really good record of working with women. Women have been kind, thoughtful, generous and excited and there has been a mutual respect from both sides whether you are the talent, the brand, the agent or the manager. But there are some exceptions. If we continue to let these exceptions slide we are never going to change things for the next group of people. You can be a firm, successful, professional woman who treats the people in business with respect and get your concerns out without being a bully. Know your standards and know your values. If you can take responsibility and find out why it didn't work out for you and didn't work out for them, at least there is closure. Bottom line, not everyone is looking out for you.

Why Do Mean Girls Have Power? Nov 29, 2022

What is it that makes mean girls have power over other girls? Mean girls orchestrate a lot of what is going on in the schools. Even television and movies perpetuate this thinking. We need to change the conversation for our girls. Being mean does not equal being powerful. We also chat about the competitive nature of kids sports and how parents are often the driving force behind the competitiveness. There are even secret teams that parents organize, outside of the league. And trust us, not everyone is invited.
