Episode 32 - Of Corsets And Secrets And True, True Love (Road To Avonlea S2E4) Oct 04, 2018

Show notes

In this episode, we welcomed a guest that we've been waiting 32 episodes to have on. One of our dearest, Anthony, joins us for this episode, and we couldn't have asked for a better episode for him to guest on! Marilla and Rachel take in a pair of orphaned children after their mother passes away from "galloping consumption." At first, Rachel doesn't want them, but I think you can all guess what happens by the end of the episode.

So........why wasn't this episode the Season 2 Premiere? Much more in the tone of Avonlea. This episode was an absolute treasure. We see the introduction of a much beloved character, a beautiful moment involving the King family, and just an all around joyous, upbeat vibe from the episode. Such an improvement over last week!

Show notes

We're back from vacation, and ready to be back at it! In this episode, we discuss Episode 2, 3 and 4 of Anne With An E, a wildly uneven bunch of episodes that left us scratching our heads. There were some truly great moments in this episode, but overall, it begged the question: Why stray so far from the source material when it's so rich to begin with?
