McCord gets the nod at QB1 | Can 2-QB system work? Aug 30, 2023

After months of anticipation, Kyle McCord was named Ohio State's starting quarterback for the season opener against Indiana. Head coach Ryan Day made the announcement Tuesday and added that Devin Brown will also see meaningful action against the Hoosiers.

What does this mean long-term for the Buckeyes? Is it likely that McCord holds on to the job all season? Or is it more likely that Brown will usurp him at some point? Or if the battle stays close and Day elects to say with a two-QB system -- which we do not think will happen -- could that actually work?

Switching gears, now that the QB decision is behind us -- for now -- how about the fact that game day is merely three days away for the Buckeyes? What do we expect to see from this team in Bloomington? Is the hype about OSU's defense real? Or might we not really know until at least the Notre Dame game?
