On this Wednesday Buckeye Talk, Doug Lesmerises and Tyler Shoemaker bring you another Betting the Buckeyes, and this one uses some gambling numbers to analyze the playoff semifinal between Ohio State and Georgia.

First, Doug and TShoe look at the betting lines for both College Football Playoff semis -- first Michigan-TCU, and then Ohio State-Georgia -- and then talk about the overall national title odds for all four teams.

First, (1:32) Jaxon Smith-Njigba's Ohio State career is officially over as the star receiver will not recover from his hamstring injury to be able to play in the Buckeyes' playoff semifinal against Georgia.

Then (17:20), offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson is leaving to be the new head coach at Tulsa. What does that mean for the OSU coaching staff?

Then (25:39), C.J. Stroud is one of four Heisman Trophy finalists. What did Doug think about during his voting process?

The Ohio State Buckeyes are in the College Football Playoff, and on this Monday Buckeye Talk, Doug Lesmerises, Nathan Baird and Stephen Means are talking about the Buckeyes as the No. 4 seed against No. 1 Georgia and as underdogs after it looked like their season was over.

The discussion turns to how this underdog roles compares to other OSU underdog moments of the past. In the back third of the pod, the guys run through a survey of text subscribers to figure out where fans are one week removed from the Buckeyes' loss to Michigan, with the Buckeyes now one of four teams with a shot at the national title, and with a potential rematch with Michigan in the national title game looming.

Utah beat USC on Friday night, in much the same way Michigan beat Ohio State last week. The result?

The Ohio State Buckeyes are likely back in the College Football Playoff.

With the way the selection committee described it last week, the Buckeyes were probably in with a USC loss, especially when the Trojans blew a 17-3 lead and fell 47-24, showing continued issues with their defense.

The 11-1 Buckeyes aren't perfect, but they will almost certainly be the choice as the No. 4 seed in the playoff when the playoff bracket is announced Sunday.

But you know that. On this emergency pod, you can talk along as Doug Lesmerises tells you things you already know.
