According to The Cryptid Wiki, "The Dover Demon is a small humanoid reported from Dover, Massachusetts. It was the subject of an intensive scare during the 1970s, when multiple witnesses came forward with their sightings. The Dover Demon is described as looking sort of like the "gray" variety of alien, except that it has rosy tan colored skin instead. The Dover Demon has a large head on a small, stick-like body. It can be bipedal, but it often travels on all fours or switches back and forth between the two modes of locomotion. It has eyes that glow, usually orange, or sometimes green. It does not seem to wear any clothing, and unlike the grays, the Dover Demon does not seem to be associated with any UFOs. It just wanders around on its own." It's the makings of a classic scary story, Children of the Night. Weird creature wandering around the woods, only teenagers seeing it, and it's eerie presence only while driving.

Have you heard that poem before? If so, then you too may have been traumatized by the movie franchise that is Nightmare on Elm Street. The horror franchise has spawned nearly 10 films, and is considered one of the greatest horror stories of all time. Freddy Krueger, whom was played by Robert Englund, is at the forefront of the series, killing teen agers while they sleep. It scared folk all through these past 40 years the franchise existed, but it's just a movie right? Freddy can't hurt you...can he? On this episode of BAD, the boys look at the lore behind the character and see if he was based on a true story.

According to the SCP Wiki Website, "This is the SCP Foundation Wiki, a collaborative writing site based around the premise that… in essence, magic is real. It's not exactly like the traditional fantasy style magic you've come to know, but that's the best way we can describe the stuff we have here - Anomalies; items and critters that do not follow the rules of nature as we know them. Staircases that go on forever, mechanical gods from the beginning of time, otherwise regular humans who reshape reality with their mind: these are the kinds of things that, if known to the public, could cause mass hysteria and start wars on scales unprecedented. Due to that, there exists an organization called the SCP Foundation, whose job is to research paranormal activity, keep these creatures and objects concealed from the public, and protect humanity from the horrors of the dark." These stories are the bare the building blocks to not only some of the best modern day horror, but also the foundation to future folklore creatures. The SCPs are categorized, basically, into three groups: Safe, Euclid, and Keter. Ranging from the safest and easiest things to capture and contain, to Euclid being more dangerous than that, to finally Keter...or end of the world scenario if the creature or object gets out. In this episode we look at SCP-1033, SCP-236, SCP-362, SCP-523, and SCP-607.

We've talked about a lot of strange stories over the years, but this we talk about something rather strange even in BAD terms...The Devil Monkey. According to The Cryptid Wiki, "Unique species of monkey have been described as being about 3 to 4 feet tall, although some eyewitnesses have sworn that these furry fiends can reach a height that is in excess of 7 feet. It seems clear, however, that those who have had an encounter with this larger version of the beast are actually describing a run-in with a prototypical hairy humanoid and not the smaller, more primate-like Devil Monkey." We also talk about how a sasquatch threw a tree, and even how to use the plural version!

Have you ever read The Tommyknockers? Maybe seen the made for TV movie? Well, did you know it was inspired by actual lore? Let us introduce you to the mining creatures known as Tommyknockers. A strange creature that, depending on where you are from, can be friend or foe. Some say they let miners known when a mine is collapsing, or some say they cause it. Some say they lure people in deep in the mines for folk to never be seen again. Or...they just steal your lunch.

142 – US Congressional Hearing about UFOs Sep 15, 2023

On July 26, 2023 the United States Congress held a meeting with top ranking military personnel in regards to UFO sightings and debriefing that was made public. According to NBC News, "A House Oversight subcommittee held a hearing on UFOs — officially known as unidentified aerial phenomena or UAPs — and heard mystifying testimony about unexplained object sightings and government possession of “nonhuman” biological matter." They go on to talk about, "David Grusch, a former U.S. intelligence official, told the panel that he is “absolutely” certain that the federal government is in possession of UAPs, citing interviews he said he conducted with 40 witnesses over a four-year period. The former U.S. intelligence official said he led Defense Department efforts to analyze reported UAP sightings and was informed of a “multidecade” Pentagon program that endeavored to collect and reconstruct crashed UAPs." In short? This is the first time the American people were told, without secret, that there could be a potential about alien life, UFO's, and UAPs. According to Brooke Hess with the Outdoor Journal, "In 1908, brothers Willie and Frank McLeod embarked on a mission into the Nahanni Valley in search of gold. They never returned. Two years later, the bodies of the McLeod brothers were found on the banks of the Nahanni River. Their heads though, were nowhere to be found. The two men were murdered, decapitated, and left on the side of the river for the next party of explorers to find." This episode is a wild one! Headless brothers, desert oasis in the middle of the artic, prehistoric animals alive, and even a naked lady!
