    047 – Swamp Monsters Oct 14, 2020
    Show notes

There are few places in the world that can bring that certain spooky factor as a swamp can. Hollywood has made movies about the muggy wetland. From Shrek to Creature from the Black Lagoon, the idea is burned into our memories from a young age to stay out of the swamps. This week, we pay homage to the swamp monsters within our folklore. We discuss the Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp, Moss Man, and Jake the Alligator Man.

    046 – Vampires Oct 08, 2020
    Show notes

From Sesame Street to Count Panek, vampires have been a staple in the world of fiction for centuries. They may as well be the most popular, and haunting creatures in the world of horror. However, where they come from and where these stories originate remains the question. Before Dracula, there were stories of blood-sucking creatures dating way back to ancient Sumeria. In this episode, we will dive into the world behind the cape. Different kinds of vampires, lore, and how monstrous and potentially real they are.

    045 – Haunted Online Purchases Oct 01, 2020
    Show notes

It is late at night. You are perusing an online shopping website. You find a listing for a haunted painting. You see the buy it now button for 12 bucks. You buy it as a joke. Upon receiving it, things around your home are just…off. Random cold spots, disembodied voices, and footsteps belonging to no one. You just bought yourself a genuine haunted object online. Surprisingly enough, it’s more common than you think. Joining Bob and the Count this week is Abigale Gardner and Craig Goldberg. They host the pop culture podcast, Yes Have Some. For this crossover event, the two shows are discussing haunted objects found on places like eBay, Etsy, and various other online shopping services.

    044 – Hauntings of Northwest Indiana Sep 24, 2020
    Show notes

If you have ever heard of da Region, then you know it is up in the northwestern corner of Indiana. Some who live there say it is a suburb of Chicago, while others create its own community and personality. To outsiders, it may just be home to steel mills and oil refineries. However, according to its residents, it can be the roots of some major history. This week on Bob After Dark, joining the team is Northwest Indiana Paranormal director Pete Ghrist and local historian and paranormal enthusiast, Chuck Pullen. Together they talk about several haunted locations and entities including the Old Crown Point Jail, Reeder Road, and most famously Diana of the Dunes.

Sometimes, the real world we live in, and the real physical problems we deal with far outweigh the ones we talk about on this show. Upon hearing the horrifying events that happened in Louisiana, Bob wanted to step in to help. This week, the team do something just a little different. Joining the Bob After Dark team is Ben Langlinais with the Louisiana Ghostbusters, and Brain Campbell with Impact Acadiana. They are talking about ways that we can get involved in helping with the hurricane relief, and how you can win a trip to Disney World in the process. Sometimes, scaring is caring. In honor of trying to help the state, the team talks about one of the most haunted locations in Louisiana, The LaLaurie Mansion. Learn about Americas first female serial killer, the awful legacy she left behind. Also, how one home can hold so much bad energy, that every room in the home has a story of an experience.

Once upon a time ago, way back before Bob After Dark was in podcast format, Bob covered a strange yet dangerous creature on the radio show version. Thanks to Viewers Choice Month, Bob is revisiting a cryptid that technically has a body count. In Popelick Kentucky, right outside Louisville, there is a legend of a half-goat half-man creature that is said to have powerful mental abilities. Including but not limited to leading folk to their death by climbing a railroad bridge. For the first time ever in podcast form, Bob is covering the Popelick Monster.

    038 – The Hex House Murder Aug 12, 2020
    Show notes

This week, find out what happens when True Crime meets the Paranormal. Viewers Choice Month continues with an interesting choice that sort of genre bends the show. Back in the early 1900s, a group of Pennsylvania Dutch were partaking in magikal rituals. Some of the rituals were good, some…not. This is the story of how a group of people were murdered due to the thought of being hexed. This is one episode that has us crossing over to the True Crime podcast world!
