    Why are Black women still fighting to be heard in healthcare? From reproductive justice to medical bias, the way healthcare decisions are made often leaves Black women out of the conversation. But what if the problem isn't just access- what if it's who controls the system?

    In this episodeof Black Women's Health, Dr. Rahman speaks with Dr. Wylin D Wilson, an expert in womanist bioethics , to explore:

    • who makes decisions about Black Women's health- and why it matters
    • the hidden biases in medical research and within bioethics

    Black women's healthcare is shaped by ethical systems that don't always prioritize our voices. In her book, Womanist Bioethics: Social Justice, Spirituality and Black Women's Health Dr Wilson lays out the rationale for assessing Black women's health using a womanist bioethics perspective.
