I owe this Doctor a huge apology for such a long delay. This podcast was recorded over one year ago! I thought it had been damaged and deleted. I recently "found" a copy. And I am delighted to be able to share it with you.

As an internist, she had cared for patients with renal disease. Then she fell in love with a man with end stage kidney disease. What she does next and the reasonings for her decisions are thought provoking.

Today she has a platform and has a lot to say regarding renal disease and health disparities within our healthcare system. 1 in 3 adults in the US is at risk for kidney disease. And Black Americans are 4-5 times more likely to develop kidney failure. Her knowledge, her humanity and her insight into renal disease particularly end-stage renal disease, dialysis, and renal transplant are worth listening to.

You may not hear this "straight talk" anywhere else. Share this with your family, your friends and your patients.
