Episode #53 Patrick Byrne Speaks! On today’s show I am honored to be speaking with a modern day American patriot, Mr. Patrick Byrne – the CEO of overstock.com. Patrick teaches us about public education in the United States and how it is sadly broken on many levels - with more money often going to administration than to our teachers and our students. Patrick also tells us the truth about the SEC. He talks to us about mobsters on Wall Street and the crooked games they’ve all but perfected to rob this country blind. And of course he tells us about his project to create the stock market of the future – one devoid of the criminal elements. On today’s show I ask my good listeners to forgive me as I replay a previous episode. With the holidays upon us, traveling out of town to visit family and friends has made it impossible for me to schedule an new interview and do all the associated editing and compiling necessary for a new show. But the good news is that the interview I had with Andreas Antonopoulos a few weeks back is here reproduced in all its audio glory for those of you who have heard it and for those of you who may have missed it . . . and of course for my new listeners who are listening in for the very first time. Thanks for listening everyone and I hope you enjoy the show! Today I feel so very fortunate to have on the show my good friend Mr. Andreas Antonopoulos. Mr. Antonpoulos is a passionate teacher who talks to us today about the University of Nicosia in Cypress and the exciting news that they have launched the very first Master of Science degree in Digital Currency. This Masters Degree is now offered to students worldwide through an online format. Listeners dont bother pinching yourselves - you're not asleep and youre not dreaming - it IS true - you can now earn a Masters Degree in Digital Currency. And of course Mr. Antonopoulos knows a great deal about this degree because ... he is one of the teachers teaching the course. Reverend Johnny preaches: there's a great battle raging in the world that will test the fortitude of every man, woman and child . . . put your love of each other above your love of money."
I wrote The Bitcoin Blues as a way to express all the regrets I have since entering into the crazy world of Bitcoining! But of course I have had more great times and more important learning experiences than at any other time in my life - except those years on the playground in elementary school . . . THOSE are where we learn the real truths about life that stick with us forever. I performed this song last year in Amsterdam to a pretty intoxicated crowd. It was a blast and I love the people of Amsterdam - every damn one of them!
