Is this a better Badgers team or barely average? Sep 22, 2022
    Show notes

It is time for the Big Me Kickoff and we are heading behind enemy lines to get a little intel on Ohio State's upcoming opponent, the Wisconsin Badgers.
Wisconsin has been a bit of a difficult team to figure out as of late. Everyone expected Saturday night's game to be a battle of undefeateds up until the point that the Badgers dropped one against Washington State, an unexpected outcome.
Like past Wisconsin teams, the Badgers can run the ball among the best of them with a three-headed rushing attack, are we paying enough attention there? On the other side of things, Graham Mertz has never really quite lived up to his billing as a star quarterback, but could 2022 be his year? Things have looked good so far but we all know that non-conference schedules don't always paint a true picture.
On the other side of the ball, the Badgers defense is good as always but is there on unit that is a little more thin than people know? How good is Nick Herbig at linebacker and how is the line play?
All of that and more on the upcoming edition of the Big Me Kickoff with Kevin Noon.

Will the Rockets ignite against the Buckeyes? Sep 15, 2022
    Show notes

In this edition of the Big Me Kickoff, we are focusing in on the upcoming game with the Toledo Rockets. This in-state team has had success in past year knocking off major foes including the likes of Penn State, Michigan, Iowa State and other and in 2021 came oh-so-close to taking down Notre Dame.
Despite only being a couple hour car ride away from Columbus, what do we really know about the 2022 Rockets? We know that their schedule has been maybe even weaker than Michigan’s with games against LIU and UMass to date, but their level of competition takes a steep climb as they take on Ohio State on Saturday night under the lights at Ohio Stadium.
We are catching up with a long-time friend as Kyle Rowland of the Toledo Blade provides some more context into who the Rockets are, what they have accomplished and what their chances are in this one.
All of that and more in this edition of the Big Me Kickoff.

Will the echoes wake up against Ohio State? Sep 01, 2022
    Show notes

The Big Me Kickoff is here and it is all about the week one opponent of the Buckeyes as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish come to town for a battle of top-five teams. We have spent the entire offseason looking at what the Buckeyes may look like for the 2022 season but what about their first opponent?
We caught up with a friend of the show, Ryan Roberts of IrishBreakdown.com to talk about this epic week one game. How are the Irish different with Marcus Freeman at the helm compared to Brian Kelly? What should people know about quarterback Tyler Buchner? How good is this Notre Dame defense? Is 17.5-points too many or does Vegas know something?
And we can’t talk to someone who covers Notre Dame without bringing up that whole Big Ten question.
That and so much more on this edition of the Big Me Kickoff, don’t miss out.

Big props from Holly Rowe & who are the best returning players? Aug 25, 2022
    Show notes

College football gets underway in two days and the Buckeyes are inside of 10 days from their season opener against Notre Dame as fall practice is wrapping up and game week is almost here. The Big Me Kickoff could not be any more excited about these developments as the Buckeyes continue to receive plenty of praise on the national level.
An ESPN sideline reporter had a chance to take in Ohio State’s practice on Wednesday and came away more than impressed with what she saw. We have her comments and talk about what this could mean if her beliefs ring true.
Plus, we have been going through on BuckeyeHuddle looking at the top returning players on the offensive side of the ball across the Big Ten. How many Buckeyes make the cut?
All of that and more on this edition of Big Me Kickoff, don’t miss out and be sure to join us on Friday as the plan is to go live with a fan feedback show.

Zero interest in zero week or is any football good football? Aug 22, 2022
    Show notes

College football is back this week with the kickoff of “zero week” but do Buckeyes fans have zero interest in the slate of 11 games? We talk about that and more in this edition of the Big Me Kickoff.
There is a Big Ten conference game with Nebraska and Northwestern playing on the Emerald Isle with a game in Dublin, but will there be enough interest from fans stateside who don’t have a rooting interest in either team?
What about another game involving a Big Ten team with Illinois hosting Wyoming. There was plenty of buzz about Bret Bielema taking over as head coach of the Illini but how much is anyone talking about that program right now and how damaging could a week zero loss be?
And of course we are talking about the Buckeyes. Earlier today we had a chance to talk to Ryan Day and Jim Knowles. How healthy is this team going into the week one game against Notre Dame? How much of the defense is installed? Who are a few players that are standing out?
All of that and so much more as the season is less than two weeks away and anticipation is building at a monumental pace.

Big Bucks top the TV airwaves and the polls Aug 19, 2022
    Show notes

In this edition of the Big Me Kickoff we are talking about the recently released AP Poll and should anything really be read into that at this point or if it is just more noise to start the season? Who has the Buckeyes ranked too low and does that really matter?
One thing that was not low was the dollar figure that the Big Ten's television partners came to the table with as the B1G just signed a historic deal. While we don't know every single detail about it, we do know that FOX, NBC and CBS will all be very much in the Big Ten business starting in 2023.
And what kind of changes could be in the world of college athletics, at least in the Big Ten. With comments from both commissioner Kevin Warren and Ohio State AD Gene Smith, what could be different in the near term?
    All of that and more.

Exiting the transfer portal Aug 12, 2022
    Show notes

It has been a little bit since I have been with everyone here on the Big Me Kickoff but let me re-introduce myself as we get started talking some Buckeyes football. A lot going on and I have plenty on my mind as I talk transfer portal and several other topics as we get closer to the start of the season as the Buckeyes look to bounce back after a 2021 season that ended on a high note but didn't exactly get across the correct finish line.

How long should the B1G holdout for Notre Dame? Jul 08, 2022
    Show notes

It has been a weird relationship between the Big Ten and Notre Dame and it does not appear that things are any closer today than they were months or years ago. Conference expansion has put this back on the front page of the news however and is now the last best chance to get Notre Dame into the conference? There are a million reasons why this is a move that so many people want but at what point does the Big Ten call it quits and get on with its life? All of that and more in this edition of the Big Me Kickoff.

    Is Notre Dame A Lock To Join The Big 10, 16, 20, 24? Jul 05, 2022
    Show notes

Big Me Kickoff is back with another live show and since the last time we talked, all heck has broken lose in terms of conference expansion. Never in my days did I expect to see USC and UCLA in the same conference as Ohio State and Michigan, and yet we are there now. Now could Notre Dame be giving up its independence to join the payday of the B1G or more importantly, not to let time pass it by? All of that and more in this LIVE edition of the Big Me Kickoff.

Sea to shining sea as the B1G reaches westward to nab a pair of powers Jun 30, 2022
    Show notes

The SEC may have had the first salvo in the next wave of conference expansion with the addition of Texas and Oklahoma but the Big Ten was laying in the weeds and on Thursday it was learned that USC and UCLA may be on the move. The news was first reported by Jon Wilner of the Pac-12 Hotline.
After Wilner went public with the news, many others did their own digging to confirm the reports as the two major powers of Southern California were well on their way to leaving for the Big Ten as early as the start of the 2024 season.
But what does this mean? Obviously, it moves the Big Ten to 16 teams, but could other teams be following, should they be? What does this mean for recruiting? What does this mean for all of the other aspects that surround expansion?
We give our way too early thoughts on this here on this edition of the Big Me Kickoff as we put conference expansion in the spotlight.
