Beyond The Badge: Police Shooting Death of Rashaun Washington Jul 25, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill focuses on his appearance on Fox and Friends from this past Saturday regarding the War on Police. He goes in depth and explains why he believes it will continue, rise, and get much worse before it gets better.

Then, he’s on to the officer involved shooting of Rashaun Washington in Vineland, NJ. Washington told police he had a grenade or explosive device on him. Vincent shares how the story was first told to him as it being an innocent unarmed man, just carrying a box who was shot unjustly. Then, he saw what the police body cam really showed. He tells you why the shooting was justified and why it was likely suicide by cop.

Vincent dives into that and much more on this week’s episode of Beyond The Badge!

Beyond The Badge: Eliminating ICE Would Be A Big Mistake Jul 11, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the latest three police forces to experience an influx of cops leaving, mainly what’s going on in Seattle where officers feel city officials don’t have their back. Vincent explains how it will affect crime in this areas and then ties it to the Democrats wanting to eliminate ICE. The agency patrols crime on the borders, not just deal with immigration issues and stopping illegal immigrants to enter the country. If ICE is eliminated from the borders, crime numbers will rise sharply and the drug trade will flourish because no one will be there to stop it. Vincent shares his thoughts and explains his rationale on the situation.

Also, why is no one talking about NFL free agent Brandon Pettigrew and his arrest in Pittsburgh for assaulting a police officer?

Vincent dives into that and much more on this week’s episode of Beyond The Badge!

Beyond The Badge: Indianapolis Police In Turmoil Jul 04, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the issues going on within the Indianapolis Police Department and 96 officers who are leaving the force. Vincent explains the situation and what it means for the city.

Then, Judge Sid Harle ruled that the man responsible for the 2014 death of Police Chief Michael Pimentel in Elmendorf, TX, suspect Joshua Manuel Lopez, ruled that a preponderance of evidence showed Lopez suffered from mental illness and did not know his actions were out of line. Vincent disagrees with the Judge Harle’s ruling and explains why he feels Lopez knew exactly what he was doing.

The theme of this week’s show is “precedence.” Does the Indianapolis Police situation set a precedence in the law enforcement community nationwide? Does the ruling by Judge Harle in Texas set a precedence for any time a cop is shot and killed?

Vincent shares his thoughts on this week’s episode of Beyond The Badge!

Beyond The Badge: Shooting Death Of 17 Year Old Antwon Rose in Pittsburgh Jun 27, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the shooting death of 17-year old Antwon Rose in Pittsburgh. Police in Pittsburgh were investigating a drive by shooting involving a car similar to the one that Rose and his friends were driving in. Two teens, including Rose, ran from the car and a video from social media shows Rose falling to the ground after being hit multiple times. While police recovered two firearms from the vehicle, Rose was unarmed at the time of his death.

This week, Vincent breaks down the entire situation step by step, tells you what went wrong, and why he questions the decision of the police officer’s decision to shoot.

Beyond The Badge: Judi Glisson Plea Deal In Nashville Jun 20, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses Judi Glisson’s plea deal in Nashville after being the cause of death for Nashville Police Officer Eric Mumaw (an officer I worked with). If you aren’t familiar with the story, Officer Mumaw was killed while trying to rescue a suicidal Glisson, whose car was sinking into the Cumberland River. This case hits very close to home for Vincent because he knew and worked with Officer Mumaw during his days in the Nashville Poilce Dept. Vincent tells you why he thinks she got off extremely easy and why he doesn’t agree with the plea whatsoever.

Then, a viral video from a Waffle House in Fort Walton Beach, FL where a black couple accused police of racism. However, body cam footage contradicts the claim.

Finally, Vincent briefly talks about two deputies killed in Kansas who were transporting a prisoner that took one of the officer’s guns, shooting them multiple times.

Beyond The Badge: The Maurice Granton Shooting In Chicago Jun 13, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses at length the shooting death of Maurice Granton in Chicago. He was captured on police surveillance armed, selling drugs, fled, and pulled gun on police. However, protesters are calling him an “entrepreneur” and a family man and say police planted the gun.

Vincent tells you why this is a false claim contradicted by video footage, why Granton’s family is way off base, and why Maurice Granton is just another felon who should not have had a gun.

Also on this week’s show, Vincent shares a great story about a North Carolina officer doing good in the community and as always, he wraps up with his “10-7” on this week’s episode of Beyond The Badge!

Beyond The Badge: First Congregational Church Of Oakland Jun 06, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the First Congressional Church in Oakland. Why is Vincent dedicating an entire episode of Beyond The Badge to a church? Simple. They’ve told it’s members and the community to “divest” from police because of race issues. The church is using scripture to support it’s reasoning.

How crazy is this? What consequences could come for the city of Oakland as a result of this new ideology? What happens, God forbid, someone gets beaten, raped, or murdered in the church parking lot? Will the church call the police then or will they attempt to handle it themselves?

Vincent dives deep into this insane situation on this week’s episode of Beyond The Badge!

Beyond The Badge: Milwaukee Police vs Sterling Brown of the Milwaukee Bucks May 30, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the situation in Milwaukee between Milwaukee Police and NBA player Sterling Brown, who was confronted by law enforcement on January 26th for a parking violation. The confrontation has garnered national attention because things got physical between Brown and law enforcement and the body cam footage was recently released. Vincent shares his thoughts on the situation and why he feels Brown put himself in that position.

Also on this week’s show, Vincent discusses the case out of Texas involving Sherita Dixon-Cole, who claimed that a Texas State Trooper sexually assaulted her but was later found to be making the entire allegation up.

Finally, Vincent revisits that death of Officer Amy Caprio in Baltimore and talks about why the suspect’s family claims he was afraid.

Beyond The Badge: There Is A War On Police Going On May 23, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the killing of Officer Amy Caprio in Baltimore Monday. Officer Caprio was shot and run over by a car and a 16-year old burglary suspect has been arrested and charged with first degree murder while three others are being held in custody.

Everyone knows about the Freddie Gray case, which has been discussed ad nauseaum. The racial implication, the political implication, the societal implications of a case where there was such social outrage and yet the officers involved were cleared.

Where is the social outrage over another dead police officer?

Then, Vincent discusses a report from the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights which says “body cams violate the civil rights of black and brown people.” This report is hypocritical and ridiculous but why what they are asking is even more ridiculous.

Beyond The Badge: The Body Cam Debate May 16, 2018
    Show notes

BTB #1This week, law enforcement analyst Vincent Hill discusses the latest viral video of a teen who was punched in the face while resisting arrest. He tells you exactly why it was legal and why it was within policy.

Then, Vincent focuses on the two separate cases of black motorist claiming they were profiled and threatened during traffic stops on their Facebook Live. However, body cam footage showed a much different story.
