Back in NYC for a hot minute from Los Angeles, where he moved to expand the ever growing Manscapers Business, James stops by to talk about the current season of the hit Bravo show Backyard Envy. The current season of Backward Envy and everything else. James describes how he and business partners and co-stars Mel and Garrett first met, decided to go into business together and ultimately got their own Bravo show. James talks about how he has crossed paths with some of our favorite Million Dollar Listing Agents - The Josh’s Altman and Flagg, Tracy Tutor and Steve Gold, being in the residential design space and all. Ahh, Steve Gold. Speaking of Bravolebrities, James talks to The Rope about some of his Housewife Friends and Encounters including, but certainly not limited to, Tinsley Mortimer, Dorinda Medley, Countess Luann (he also saw the Cabaret, who hasn’t?), Barbara Kavovit, as well as how Bethenny Frankel “won” Housewives. With the shocking Shahs of Sunset reunion just finished, Dr. Mona Vand from Shah’s of Sunset steps Behind The Rope. Nema’s Sister. Yes, she is, but there is much more to Mona, or should we say Dr. Vand, then her Shah’s cast member brother or her own guest appearances. Growing up with her mom in New York, she kept in touch with Brother Nema and her Dad long distance until she graduated from Pharmacy school and moved to LA herself. Soon realizing she wanted more out of life than a typical pharmacy career, Mona transitioned her career by developing on line content in the lifestyle and health and wellness space. Mona knew Mike which led to a chat with casting which led to a full time role for Nema and guest appearances by her. Mona entertains all of the Ropes questions (thank you) regarding her Shahs co-stars. What does she really think about Nema and GG as a potential romantic pair? First impressions of MJ? Is Reza the gay BFF she always dreamed of? These and other pressing questions, such as what she thinks about the demise of a 30 year friendship between Reza and MJ, answered. And bonus, we got quarantine advice on how to work out, eat healthy, and maintain positive energy and good skin during the sequester. Thanks for the visit Dr. Vand!!

Mary starts at the beginning - why she got her Real Estate License and how she started working at the Oppenheim Group. The beginning also includes meeting and dating owner Jason Oppenheim and her BFF Amanza Smith. Mary takes us through the evolution of how Selling Sunset went from a possible idea to the juggernaut that it is today. Mary shares how she got used to the cameras, what filming was really like and how she thinks the show and cast has evolved over the course of Seasons 1 and 2. Those Black Socialites whose Instagram Page has become the inside source, Behind The Velvet Rope if you will, for all things The Real Housewives of Potomac. The ones who are unapologetically team Monique Samuels on Instagram. The ones who were the target of Candiace Dillard’s rant on Instagram last week. The ones who, months ago, BROKE the Monique and Candiace drama and physical altercation that we now get to see unfold before our very eyes this current season on The Real Housewives of Potomac. In true BTVR fashion, this isn’t a lets talk about the current season of RHOP episode. This is a we have gone right to the source, THE most connected boy in the DMV who has been thrust into the middle of all the current social media shenanigans by the RHOP cast. This past Thursday, August 13th, 2020, between the hours of 9 and 10pm EST, we bore witness to The Real Housewives of NYC’s OG’s LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer confirming that they have both "been there, done that" with a fine younger gentleman. That fine younger gentleman has also had past relations with fellow RHONY cast member and Forever It-Girl Tinsley Mortimer. A fine gentleman who, according to Lu, “won American Idol." Turns out, our fav Apple Holders were talking about Constantine Maroulis, who came in 6th place during Season 4 of the hit singing competition. In Part I (Released earlier today. Feel free to check it out!!), we discuss American Idol, Rock of Ages and Constantine’s first full length album in over a decade, “Until I’m Wanted”. Now, for what we have all been waiting for, life’s most important questions have been answered. Constantine confirms that he is, in fact, the Gentleman who Lu and Ramona were talking about. We discuss how, when, what, and where he originally met Tinsley, LuAnn and Ramona. We also discuss what “dating” each was like. Constantine discusses what filming the 2010 Classic TV Show “High Society” was like and what he thinks about the rest of the Tins Fam, Dale & Dabney Mercer. He also discusses what it is like to be a part of the classic “Countess & Friends” Cabaret. We play fun games such as Marry, F, Kill and then some. Finally, Constantine tells us where he was when his Twitter, IG, Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Email and Text went viral this past Thursday during the latest installment of RHONY. Below Deck Med’s Malia White Steps Behind The Rope. Quarantining from a docked boat in France, Malia is here to discuss it all. Originally from Oregon, Malia had no idea the yachting industry was her true calling until a few years ago when she got a call from Below Deck casting. Having had past experience working on small boats and teaching scuba diving in Hawaii, Malia was working at a desk job in Colorado when the casting call came. Why not?, she said, and the rest is history. Malia discusses some of her more high maintenance guests, both on and off camera, some of the most over the top requests she has received during her yachting career, how to handle celebrities you need to say “no” to, and the biggest tip she has ever received. Malia also discusses being the Below Deck Franchise's first female Bosun, sexism and the role of women in the yachting industry and how some of these issues have played out both last season on Below Deck and this season on Below Deck Med. Of course, we discuss this current season of Below Deck Med, her relationship with Hannah Ferrier, the rules when it comes to hooking up on board, the perception of Below Deck in the industry and what Captain Sandy is really like in real life. Mexican Dynasties’ Elan and Jenny Allende Step Behind The Rope. Connecting from Puerto Rico where the sun is shining the birds are singing, Elan and Jenny are here to discuss all. Jenny and Elan grew up with music in their blood. They both knew from an early age this was their true calling. That said, Jenny had a temporary detour into the word of modeling. That detour took her to the Miss World pageant where she represented Puerto Rico. She was competing. Elan’s Dad was hosting. That’s how they met. A year later they started dating and the rest is history. Now a married couple, flash forward to Bravos’ Mexican Dynasties . Not suppose to be part of the original cast when Elan's parents were hired, producers had another idea after meeting the dynamic couple. Soon thereafter, Elan and Jenny became part of the "Allende Family” that we have grown to love on the hit Bravo show, Mexican Dynasties. From casting to filming to all the real life drama going on behind the scenes, Elan and Jenny do not hold back. Also the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills were at the Mexican Dynasties premiere party. Say whaaat? Which RHOBH was nice? Which were not nice?
