COUNTESS LUANN DE LESSEPS (on Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT), RHONY Update, & "A Very Countess Christmas" Cabaret)!!) Nov 22, 2021

Show notes

Countess Luann de Lesseps steps back Behind The Rope. The Countess has returned and, once again, in true Countess fashion, does not disappoint. The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. RHUGT! We have waited patiently and now it has finally arrived. Luann chats RHUGT cast mates, drama, who surprised her the most, being on vacation with Ramona Singer, and last, but certainly not least, the shocking revelation that Bethenny Frankel allegedly set up the picture of Tom at The Regency (as discussed on RHUGT). In other words, we needed the tea. Of course, Luann opens up about last season of The Real Housewives of New York City and chats about the future of the show - the highs and lows of season thirteen, how the season ended, current casting rumors, the future of RHONY and when we, the public, might finally hear something solid, real, and official regarding Season 14. Of course we also discuss Luann’s current show, “A Very Countess Christmas”, which kicks off where it all began, at 54 Below on November 30th for eight dates and continues throughout the end of the year. Luann teases what we can expect in her new cabaret and what RHONY and other Housewives we can expect to pop up as she hits the road. The Countess is back doing what she does best because life is, always has been, and always will be a cabaret.

Show notes

Hey David, I have up close and personal stories with both Tom Girardi, who hit on me last year and Erika Jayne, who I have bonded with over older men, TWICE.” That is how our DM fro Taylor Ferber started. We get hundreds of thousands of these a week and ignore most. This is Behind The Velvet Rope and in true BTVR, we only want to interview true insiders in the entertainment industry whose careers have soared to epic heights. Just as we were about to hit delete, we dove deeper and realized Taylor is a Red Carpet Reporter who has not only just attended the recent Emmy’s but has interviewed anyone who is everyone from “A” List Celebs to Music Icons to, what else do we want to talk about, Real Housewives. Taylor was hit on by Tom Girardi twice, has traveled in the same circles as Erika Jayne Girardi and yes, has had in depth convos bonding over Older Men with the Ice Queen herself. She also knows Dorit, LVP, Kyle, Camille Grammer and so on. Who from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has she not met? The “Real Life” Behind The Rope Erika Jayne / Tom Girardi deep dive you have all been asking for has arrived. Thank you Taylor for spilling it… ALL!

Arden Myrin (on Erika Jayne, Jen Shah, Real Housewives, BFF Lance Bass & The Bachelor)! Nov 18, 2021

Show notes

Arden Myrin steps Behind The Rope. Arden is back to help us make sense of everything Real Housewives. Of course, this past season of RHOBH and Erika Jayne is a great place to start - what she knew, her reunion “performance”, social media, Bethenny Frankel and Camille Grammer’s claims they knew of Tom Giardi’s financial woes, Sutton being the only one with a voice this past season and much more. The convo quickly turns to other legal matters, namely one Jen Shah and this season of RHOSLC. We break down Jen’s case, how it compares to Erika’s in terms of seriousness and viewer interest plus other pressing matters from our fav snow birds - the obsession with Brooks’ sexuality, Lisa Barlow’s friendship loyalties, Mary’s beloved Church and much more. We also discuss the shocking decision by Bravo to cancel the RHONY reunion, the future of RHONY and whether other last season “off” franchises such as RHOC and RHOA can come back with a bang. Speaking of shows that need an infusion of a bang we discuss the current season of Vanderpump Rules plus one of Arden’s favs, Below Deck. Finally, we pay homage to all things Arden - her starring role on Netflix’ Insatiable with Queen Alyssa Milano and Debbie Ryan, her hilarious book “Little Miss Little Compton”, her epic Bachelor Nation Podcast “Will You Accept This Rose”, her new movie with Kevin Bacon and, last but certainly not least, an update on her road to The Amazing Race as team “Razzle Dazzle” with BFF new Dad, Lance Bass.

We break down the psyche behind that, the highs and lows of life - the lows were low, the concept of fame and just how addicting it can be, the public’s perception of him as making “THE colossal mistake”, and the ins and outs of real life challenges and highs he faced along the way. Brian analyzes current singing show competitions and addresses whether they work anymore, whether he is “in” on “the joke”, and the viral headline when TMZ reported he was an Uber Driver. Finally, we discuss his brilliant new documentary “Dunkleman” where he urges people to comedically “Google His Name”, the biggest misconceptions about him, and what we will all be shocked to learn from this new film!

Attny Emily D. Baker (Full Analysis/Status on Erika Jayne's Legal Woes & RHOBH Reunion / Season Performance)- II Nov 13, 2021

Show notes

Emily D Baker steps Behind The Rope. Our fav legal commentator, and former LA Deputy District Attorney, is here to break down the legal woes of one Mr. and Mrs, soon to be exes, Erika and Tom Girardi. So much has happened in the Erika & Tom case since Emily was last here, we don’t even know where to begin. Emily helps us make sense of all the legal aspects of this case - the divorce, the bankruptcy, the $25M, Erika’s potential liability if she knew, Ronald Richard’s recent offer to match 10% of whatever Erika voluntarily returned, the likelihood the victims will ever be paid, the likelihood Erika will face jail time if she is found guilty of any crimes, the likelihood Erika will have a similar lifestyle when all is said and done, the projected timeline of how much longer this case will continue to dominate our lives and so on. The condo quickly turns to this season of RHOBH & The Reunion - Erika’s demand for undying loyalty, Rinna’s double standard, Sutton’s newfound voice, Sutton’s bodyguard, whether Erika is “using” the show to rewrite history with a different narrative and her potential weekly admissions of potential guilt, should she be found guilty, by staying a member of the cast. Of course, we discuss the recent claims that Camille Grammer was told of the Girardi’s financial troubles at Andy’s baby Shower by one of her closest friends on the show rumored to be Kyle and Bethenny Frankel’s claims that she knew - after all doesn’t the B “Know It All”. Finally, Emily looks head to next season of RHOBH discussing the likelihood that Erika will be back and what her future looks like with Bravo under scenarios of potential guilt and innocence. The episode you have been waiting for all season!. Time to legally make sense of it all! From one lawyer to another, thank you Emily. The funnest attorney we know!
