LEA BLACK (on RHOM Past, Current Reboot, Joining RHOBH & Erika Jayne/Jen Shah)! Jan 10, 2022

Show notes

Lea Black steps Behind The Rope. That is correct, the “Mayor of Miami” is here to chat about her time on The Real Housewives of Miami - the highs and lows, the epic fights, the various cast members she saw come and go during her full series run, and the untimely end which left BravoHolics asking “why”? Fear not, the RHOM Reboot is alive and well. We, once and for all, get a clear answer from Lea as to why she is not involved in the Reboot - was she asked?, did she turn Peacock down, or was she not asked? Finally, an answer! Fear not, all your inquires will be answered. Lea shares her thoughts about the Reboot, the returning full time cast members Alexia, Lisa and Larsa Pippen, the newbies Julia and Nicole, and returning “friends of” Marysol and Adriana who somehow seem to have been at every party in every scene of filming… We chat about Joanna Krupa’s statements on the Reboot, Larsa returning to TV after Keeping up with many of The Kardashians, and the public’s reaction to the return of this once cancelled franchise. Splitting her time between Miami and LA, we had to chat current RHOBH - did Erika know, should Erika stay on the show, Tom Girardi’s (who her attorney husband Attorney Roy Black and her knew) fall from grace and whether she would ever join the RHOBH cast, most of whom she knows and many of whom she calls friends. Lea is busy running her Lea Black Skincare empire and hosting her Lunch with Lea Podcast so thank you Ms. Black for taking the time for this epic chat about it all!!

RHOC's Lynne Curtin (on RHOC Past, Present Future & "Cuffs") Jan 07, 2022

Show notes

Everyone always asks us who are the nicest Housewives ever? Lynne Curtin is definitely on that list. Are y’all loving the new season of RHOC or longing for the vintage days of yesteryear? Check out this chat with had with Lynne back in what can now be considered vintage BTVR…

The Real Housewives of Orange County's Lynne Curtin Steps Behind The Rope. Checking in from beautiful and sunny Orange Country, Lynne is here for some fun. Some fun and to tell it all. Let us start at the beginning. Lynne takes us back to when she was first cast to step behind the gates of Coto de Caza in Season Four of the hit Bravo show. Lynne walks us through how she was cast on RHOC, who she knew before being cast and some of the story lines we saw regarding her life as they played out on national television. We also discuss how Lynne handled her newfound fame and the ramifications it had on her personal life. We discuss how The Real Housewives of Orange Country has changed since the early days and how reality tv, in general, is a whole new landscape in the modern age. Of course we discuss the status of Lynne's current relationships with other OC staples such as Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Judge, Jeana Keough, Gretchen Rossi, Lydia McLaughlin, Emily Simpson, Heather Dubrow, Lizzie Rovsek, and the Peggys Sulahian and Tanous. We also talk about the times she has crossed paths with Kyle Richards, Lisa Vanderpump and Stephanie Hollman. It is the OC after all, so we had to get Lynne’s takes on her “friendships” with Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow. We couldn’t resist asking for #tea when we learned that her daughters knew some of the cast of Laguna Beach. It really is a small world. We discuss the departure of Vicki and Tamra and the current casting choices. Finally, no chat with Lynne Curtin would ever be complete without a discussion of her iconic, classic, one of a kind "Lynne Curtin Cuffs". Grab your oranges and kick back for a fun filled episode with the one and only Lynne Curtin.

Mike Hill With Cynthia Bailey Cameo (on Leaving RHOA, Ultimate Girl's Trip, Life After RHOA, & New Careers!) Jan 06, 2022

Show notes

The Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Mike Hill steps Behind The Rope. He is back! First things first, we catch up with Mike on all that he has been up to since the last time he was here - Mike is the Morning TV Host Of “Start Your Day” and has taken up acting a la “Misunderstood”, a local LA play and the upcoming “Foster Law” in which he plays Judge Earl Johnson. Mike talks about his best selling book, “Open Mike” which was the cathartic journey he needed in life to clear mental health, a topic often stigmatized amongst “straight bros”, particularly straight hetero men of color. Mike also chats about what it was like to celebrate his recent past one year wedding anniversary. Mike talks married life to Cynthia - the challenges, how these two lovebirds keep the spark alive, and what is the best thing about being married. Of course, the convo quickly turns to Mike and Cynthia’s life after The Real Housewives of Atlanta now that Cynthia has announced she will not be holding a peach when RHOA returns next season. Mike chats about highs and lows from their several year run on the hit Bravo franchise, his and Cynthia’s feelings about the end, what he will miss the most and least about filming with our fav Peach Holders, and the TRUTH behind Cynthia’s exit. Finally, last but certainly not least, we chat about what is next for Team Chill, where they will live now that they don’t need to be at Lake Bailey to film on a regular basis, and just what is next for Mike, and Cynthia. Might we see them back on Reality TV sooner than we all expected? Tune in to fine out. Thank you Mr. Hill for stopping by and being, well, an “Open Mike” (Available everywhere books are sold!).

Much to our surprise and excitement, Mrs. Cynthia Bailey made a guest cameo appearance to discuss Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (#RHUGT) - the unexpected friendships, fights and drama, the appearance of “50 Cynt” and where she stands now with out fav Island OG’s (yes Tre, we are giving this one to Melissa)

Show notes

Kelly Dodd Leventhal and Rick Leventhal step Behind The Rope. Finally! Kelly and Rick chat about all that they have been up to since we last saw them on our television screens on RHOC. Of course, many of you know what they have been up to because this dynamic duo has been causing headlines everywhere they have gone over the past few months. Kelly opens up about the real reasons behind her RHOC exit, her real life drama with some orange holders past and present such as Heather Dubrow, Vicki Gunvalson, Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Tamra Judge - to name a few, and the many highs and lows she encountered throughout her tenure on the RHOC. Kelly and Rick chat about their “take no prisoners” attitude, the many on line trolls who come for them daily, their authentic realness to be true to themselves no matter what the cost, their polarizing beliefs and carefree attitude, the many misconceptions about themselves and just how they have turned the public’s vitriol toward them into a booming podcast aptly titled, “Unmasked”. Of course, we also chat current season RHOC, their thoughts on the return of Heather Dubrow and newbies Noella Berenger and Jennifer Armstrong and who amongst Shannon, Gina and Emily, they are still close to. Finally, we talk about why these two are soul mates who enjoy working and living together each day ready to take on the world, one troll, or “Unmasked” Podcast listener at a time. RHOC's Peggy Tanous (on RHOC Past, Present, & Future) Dec 31, 2021

Show notes

How do you feel about the return of Heather Dubrow this season on RHOC? Has Fancy Pants saved the franchise? How about Shannon Beador? Is the end near? Remember a simpler time, when RHOC still had the likes of Vicki and Tamra and gang. Remember Peggy Tanous, the one season wonder who had a LOT to say. If not, check this out!

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Peggy Tanous steps Behind The Rope. The original Peggy from the OC. Speaking of Peggys, Peggy Tanous know the other Peggy, Bravo’s 100th Housewife Peggy Sulahian. Is the OC really that small a place? We discuss Peggy’s friends and past Orange Holders Gretchen Rossi, Heather Dubrow, Lydia McLaughlin, Lynn Curtin, Lauri Peterson and Lizzie Rovsek. What a trip down memory lane and yes Peggy knows them all. How fun. Peggy also recounts her friendship with Alexis (“Jesus Jugs”) Bellino before they were on RHOC together, how Alexis and Jim Bellino were involved in her being cast, the issues she had filming with her during their season, how the show changed their friendship and the status of their relationship today. We reminisce on how RHOC has changed throughout the years and how it is no where near the show it was way back in the day. Is that a good or bad thing? Peggy opens up about the best and worst part of being a Real Housewife of Orange County and whether she would go back again. Finally we the discuss the evolution of Vicki (Don, Brooks, Steve) and Tamra (Simon, Eddie), the aftermath of their absence and how the franchise will fair without these two staples going forward.

Mary Fitzgerald (on Selling Sunset, Cast Mates Jason, Chrishell & Christine & Romain!) Dec 30, 2021

Show notes

Remember when Mary and Christine were friends, everyone was buzzing about the fact that Mary dated Jason, that Mary was Jason’s favorite, and we had numerous gratuitous shirtless scenes with Romain. We chatted with Mary Fitzgerald during that time and wanted to share with you here today. Do things change this much in your own life in one year?

Mary Fitzgerald from Selling Sunset Steps Behind The Rope. First things first, Mary works all the time, like, a lot, so thank you Mary for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat with us. Mary starts at the beginning - why she got her Real Estate License and how she started working at the Oppenheim Group. The beginning also includes meeting and dating owner Jason Oppenheim and her BFF Amanza Smith. Mary takes us through the evolution of how Selling Sunset went from a possible idea to the juggernaut that it is today. Mary shares how she got used to the cameras, what filming was really like and how she thinks the show and cast has evolved over the course of Seasons 1 and 2. Speaking of the cast, we also discuss Mary's current relationships with costars Chrishell, Davina, Heather, Maya and last, but certainly not least, Christine. Then there is Romain. Ahh, Romain. Give us a minute. On a more serious note, Mary lets us know what the current stats of the Real Estate Market is in LA and the effects she expects Corona to have on that. Of course, no Selling Sunset discussion would be complete without discussing our love for Executive Producer Adam DiVello and his Masterpieces, The Hills and Laguna Beach. Mary agrees. Tune in now to this fun filled episode of Behind The Velvet Rope.
