Tyler Henry (on Being a Hollywood Medium, Misperceptions, Celebrity Readings & The Kardashians!) Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

Tyler Henry steps Behind The Rope. You may think you know everything about Tyler from watching his original E blockbuster show, “Hollywood Medium”, eyeing his most recent Netflix incarnation, “Life After Death”, reading his many books or attending a live show in hopes of making it off this 300,000 person long wait list for a rare live reading. Tyler is here today to break down what is fact versus fiction is his highly praised, often misunderstood, day job of a medium as well as chat about how he started, what happens during a reading, and the question on everyone’s mind, just what does really happen after we die. Of course, we deep dive the many celebs he has read - Snooki, Lala Kent, Kristin Cavallari, Carmen Electra and chat about his reading with Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner which many believe was his “cracking” of the Jordyn Woods “cheating scandal”. Of course there was also that one time Cher wanted him to stop by for a game of tennis. The more we asked Tyler about his work as a medium, the more questions we had!!

Braunwyn Windham Burke (on RHOC Past/Present/Future, Coming Out, Recovery, Castmates & "Fake" Storylines!) I Jun 06, 2022

Show notes

Braunwyn Windham Burke steps Behind The Rope. Braunwyn is here to chat about her experience before, during and after her two season run on the OG of them all, The Real Housewives of Orange County. Braunwyn breaks down the highs and lows of her time on RHOC and all that she faced during this time in the public eye - coming out as gay, revealing she is an alcoholic and showing what society still considers an “unconventional” marriage. Braunwyn holds nothing back in sharing the status of her sobriety, new relationship with girlfriend Victoria and everything else she has going on since leaving the show. Of course, we also break down just why the public did not believe her truth, the masses cried “fake” storylines, what really went on behind the scenes with Production and filming and how and why she thinks Bravo could have handled it all much differently. Finally we chat cast mates such as Vicki, Tamra, Shannon & Heather Dubrow, the breakup of her friendship with Noella and much more. All this and we are only getting started.

EVA MARCILLE (on RHOA, Top Model, Nene Leakes, Tyra Banks, Bolo, & More!) May 31, 2022

Show notes

Eva Marcille steps Behind The Rope. Where do we begin with the woman who has done it all? Eva first came to the world’s attention when she won the third cycle of America’s Next Top Model in 2004. Eva opens up about that experience, addressing the many people who are constantly bashing Tyra, chatting about her experience with Tyra while appearing on ANTM, explaining the status of that Tyra friendship today and discussing Janice Dickinson’s recent comment a few months back about her nose. Eva takes us on the journey of how life changed as a result of winning Top Model and what the show did for her modeling career after. One door that opened as a result of ANTM, was the wonderful world of acting. Eva discusses the many parts she played including that of “Tyra” on The Young and The Restless as well as appearing in JLO’s “Live It Up” video. All roads lead back to Reality TV here Behind The Rope and in a full circle moment, Eva found herself back on Reality TV, this time as an initial “Friend Of” and then Peach Holder on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. She chats about the evolution of her friendship with Nene - whose friend she was when she started with RHOA, some of her other epic up and down relationships - Porsha and Kenya we are looking at you, her cameos this past just finished season - who could resist an invitation to the Bailey-Hill wedding and the controversy surrounding throwing a star studded 250 person in the height of a global pandemic, her opinions on Nene’s “departure” and answers whether she misses the hit Bravo show and if she will ever go back. Eva also chats Tyler Perry’s “All The Queen’s Men” in which she plays lead, Madame Marilyn Deville, the owner of a high class club featuring male exotic dancers. Eve chats about how she got the part, how she researched for the part, what working with Tyler Perry was like, and what she learned about the male exotic dancer industry. Of course, we also wanted to chat all about one of her co-stars, Michael “Bolo” Bolwaire, known to us RHOA fanatics simply as Bolo, the dancer with the, #&#&, from Cynthia Bailey’s Party!!!! Model, Reality TV Star, Podcast Host, Radio Show Host, Actress. What has Eva not done? Tune in now and find out!

Janice Dickinson (on Top Model, Tyra, Kendall, Gigi, Lisa Rinna, RHOBH, The Kardashians & Being The World First Supermodel) May 30, 2022

Show notes

Janice Dickinson steps Behind The Rope. Let me repeat that. Janice Dickinson. Icon. Living Legend in the Flesh. The World’s First Supermodel. The Simon Cowell of America’s Next Top Model. Reality TV veteran from before reality TV was reality TV a la Oxygen’s “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency”. In true Janice fashion, she - DOES - NOT - HOLD - BACK! Of course, we begin with a chat about Janice’s early career where we talk about her then Supermodel colleagues Cindy Crawford, Elle Macpherson, Linda Evangelista, Kate Moss and last, but certainly not least, Tyra Banks and the many men in her life for a moment, a moment plus, or what could have been a moment, Mick Jagger, Sylvester Stallone, Simon Le Bon. Speaking of Tyra Banks, Janice was front and center for the first many cycles of the juggernaut hit “America's Next Top Model” as the most outspoken judge. Notoriously anti-plus size model, Janice has never shied away from controversy or speaking her mind. Janice opens up about how she clashed with Tyra, discusses Tyra’s notoriously bad on set behavior and is kind enough, we asked, ok begged, to reveal secrets from behind the scenes of filming. As often happens here Behind The Rope, all roads lead to Housewives or, in this case, Housewives offspring and Kardashians. Janice shares her opinions on the current modeling industry and models like Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner, Delilah Belle Hamlin, Bella Hadid, Amelia Gray Hamlin, Hailey Baldwin and Kaia Gerber - how do they compare to the Icons of yesteryear and have they earned, or instead bought, their way in with money and / or a famous last name. We also address the current “influencer”, for lack of a better word, culture and how anyone with abs and a great pair of t*ts can be insta-famous. While we had Janice, and lucky we are to have been graced by the presence of royalty, we had to ask about her current relationship with Tyra and if she feels differently all these years later. We also pay homage to all, and we mean all, those other Reality TV shows she has been a part of: Botched!, Celebrity Big Brother, I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and The Surreal Life.

What a week it has been both on and off air for both RHOBH and RHONJ. Kim D. is here to help make sense of it all starting with this past weeks RHOBH. Crystal is upset, Diana is rich, Dorit has been though a lot, Sutton does not hold back, Kyle is perturbed, Garcelle is perplexed, EJ doesn’t give an F and Rinna, well she is doing what she does best. Someone give this woman an Emmy. Moving off screen, it has not been a good week for Kathy Hilton. Kim D. breaks down the Rinna / EJ claims of what was allegedly said, what racial insensitivities have allegedly surfaced from The Hilton’s past and where we go from here. Back on Kim’s home front, RHONJ has started filming Season 13, 80s costumes and all. As previously reported here first, Traci Lynn Johnson is back in the fold, Marge and Jen seem to be fighting and light is shed IRL onto why Dolo and Dina Manzo don’t get along.
