Next, Luann spills the tea behind the scenes of “Welcome To Crappy Lake”, her new Simple Life inspired show that she filmed with Miss Sonja Morgan earlier this year. With rumors swirling that she will be cast in Legacy alongside Dorinda, Sonja, Kelly and Jill, we talk Legacy - the likelihood that those rumors are true, Ramona’s recent statement that not only is it a “loser” show but that she has “resigned” (hmmm), the rumors Tinsley is playing hard to get, who else from casts past would be a great sixth and or seventh Apple Holder (there are not as many options as you would think) and when can we, the world, anticipate finally hearing about a filming start date. Joan Van Ark steps back Behind The Rope. One of the most recognized names in Nighttime Soaps, 80s Icon, Joan Van Ark. Joan is best known for her role as Valene Ewing on Knots Landing, one of the longest running prime time soap operas in history. We are thrilled to have Joan here today to chat about her career, and life for that matter, in its entirety. We reminisce about all the glory that was, is, and will always be Valene Ewing and Knot’s Landing including how Joan was cast, co-stars and real life best friends Donna Mills and Michelle Lee, the other recognizable faces that popped by the worlds most famous cul-de-sac such as Nicolette Sheridan and Alec Baldwin, the fact that it spun off from Dallas and her decision to leave the show one season before its finale. Moving on from Knots, Joan opens up about the evolution of women in Hollywood from the 1980s when shows like Knots were all the rage to present day, answering questions like how far have we come and how much farther do we have to go. We also chatted with Joan about some of our other favorite shows she has appeared on like Nip/Tuck and RuPaul’s Drag Race (yes we think Mama Ru is a Knots fan!). Of course we had to chat with Joan about her thoughts on Reality TV and actresses like Lisa Rinna, Denise Richards and Garcelle Beauvais who have become Housewives throughout the years. Joan chats and shares stories from her illustrious frothy year career about the pressures of aging in Hollywood, the ever presence of plastic surgery amongst The Hollywood Elite, and the #MeToo Movement. Finally we chat with Joan about the current crop of television she has been binging, the current crop of “A List” actresses she puts her stamp of approval on, all the many current projects she that are keeping her busy and with reboots running rampant chat, hoping to will into existence, a Knot’s Landing Reboot. Peaches Christ steps back Behind The Rope. We have one word - SHOWGIRLS. Yes, that classic mess of a movie or classic brilliant masterpiece, depending upon which side of the fence you fall. Wait, before we get to that and “You Don’t Nomi”, the documentary that analyzes the making of Showgirls, the movie itself, the public’s reaction, and how it remains a cult classic all these years later, Peaches chats more with us about her life and career that has spanned several decades on the San Francisco, and world, drag scene. Peaches has been producing full blown Midnight Movie drag extravaganzas for years, one of which was Showgirls. The other of which is Purple Rain. Yes, we have yet another Prince fan in the house to discuss one of the biggest musical geniuses of our, or any, generation. We also discuss Peaches’ “Spin The Bottle”, a drag-umentary send up of Madonna’s “Truth or Dare” chronicling life behind the scenes at Midnight Movie Mass. Speaking of Madonna, Peaches analyzes current day Madonna, her “interesting” social media behavior, and whether she has “lost her way”. On the subject of train wrecks like Showgirls that we just cannot look away from, Peaches chats our favorite subject, Reality TV and all its glory. In other current event news, Peaches discusses, yes we are on an Elizabeth Berkley kick, the just released Saved By The Bell Reboot. Drag Race, RuPaul, The Scissor Sisters & More (w/ PEACHES CHRIST) Nov 24, 2022

Peaches Christ steps Behind The Rope. Legendary Drag Performer, Peaches Christ, that is. Born Joshua Grannell, Peaches takes us back to the beginning and what it was like growing up in a suburban Maryland town with a love of all things “alternative” - Horror Films, The Macabre, John Waters, Depeche Mode and The Pet Shop Boys, to name a few. That “alternative” also came with an early Queer Identity, which Peaches combined with her love of film, to enter film school. It was during her senior thesis at this film school that Peaches Christ was born. After film school, Peaches ultimately settled in San Francisco and voila her famed Midnight Mass live movie / drag/ musical extravaganza began. It shortly thereafter became a thing, a big thing, attracting the likes of RuPaul, The Scissor Sisters’ Ana Matronic, Elvira, and even John Waters himself. Speaking of RuPaul, we discuss that one time RuPaul basically announced he was starting a little show called “Drag Race” at one of Peaches’ Midnight Mass live events. Peaches discusses Drag Race and RuPaul, how far both have come from just starting out to this worldwide, for lack of a better word, “mainstream” part of Pop Culture! What about Showgirls, the sh*tstorm cult classic of a movie that was one of Peaches’ main inspirations for the Midnight Mass Movie Extravaganza? Do not worry, we have not forgotten. That is Part II.
