KIM D. (on Attending Holiday Party w/ RHONJ Cast Members This Weekend, Advice for Jackie G & Jen Shah's Reunion Statement) Dec 24, 2022

Show notes

Kim D. is here to spread the holiday cheer. She starts with a recap of a recent party we both attended in Franklin Lakes, NJ hosted by the one, the only RHONJ’s Doctor David (and our good friend past BTVR Podcast guest, Joey Santos). Kim and I reminisce about this holiday shin dig and all its RHONJ attendants - Frank Catania, Frankie Jr., Gabby Catania, Marge Sr. and Frank’s girlfriend Brittany who will be introduced to audiences this winter when RHONJ returns in February. In other news, Kim shares some life advice for our friend Jackie Goldschneider, talks about the upcoming season of RHONJ and when we can expect to hear about RHOBH casting. Finally, we break down the recent raid of Jen Shah and all her fake bags, why Fake Louis Vuitton is sacrilege to David, Jen’s request for a max of three years behind bars and last, but certainly not least, Jen’s confusing at best statement and the real reason she was not at the RHOSLC reunion. Did you think we would be off today? Never. Merry Holidays kids!

Flipping Out's MEGAN WEAVER (on Jeff Lewis, Teddi Mellencamp's "All In", Jenni, Gage & Randall/Lala) - I Dec 23, 2022

Show notes

Flipping Out’s Megan Weaver steps Behind The Rope. Megan takes us back to the beginning, her first job working as a Production Assistant for Steven Spielberg which led to run ins with Antonio Banderas, Tom Hanks, and oh, there was that one time she stayed in Leo DiCaprio’s Malibu Beach House. One day she met Jeff Lewis in a restaurant bathroom, and soon Megan found herself working for our favorite House Flipper and starring on Bravo’s Hit Show, “Flipping Out”. Megan, being a prior fan of the show, recalls how excited she was during her interview when Zoila and Jenni were there, floating around working at Jeff Lewis Design. We talk about some of Megan and Jeff’s Housewife BFFS, Kelly Dodd, Shannon Storms Beador and Teddi Mellencamp. Yes Megan and Jeff did Teddi’s much criticized ALL IN Program. Do tell. She does! Megan discusses the fall out between Jeff and Jenni Pulos, the current status of that relationship, how that affected her own relationship with Jenni and what she predicts for the future of that relationship. Megan also opens up about Jeff’s relationship with Gage Edward, the end of that relationship and Jeff’s new man, Scott Anderson. We also discuss her work on Lala and Randall’s house as well as Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green's house. Speaking of Brian Austin Green (anything for a shameless 90210 reference), Jeff’s current neighbor is Machine Gun Kelly which leads to a very interesting conversation!

Listen to This: Talk Easy featuring Lake Bell Dec 21, 2022

Show notes

I’m sharing a special preview of a podcast I’ve been enjoying, Talk Easy with Sam Fragoso, from Pushkin Industries. Talk Easy is a weekly interview podcast, where writer Sam Fragoso invites actors, writers, activists, and musicians to come to the table and speak from the heart in ways you probably haven't heard from them before. Driven by curiosity, he’s had revealing conversations with everyone from Ethan Hawke to Cate Blanchett to Pedro Pascal to Questlove. In this preview, he sits down with actor, writer, and director Lake Bell, who shares her path to creating Inside Voice, her new audiobook. She describes growing up in Manhattan in the 80s, chronicling the world around her by tape recorder, and capturing those experiences into her 2013 film, "In a World..." And she shares how her voice has transformed in the past decade, the phenomenon of the 'sexy baby voice,' and the characters she hopes to discover in years to come.

You can hear the full episode, and more from Talk Easy, at https://podcasts.pushkin.fm/talkeasypod?sid=rope.
