KIM D. (Demystifies Cartier Gift-Real or Fake, Offers RHONJ Newbie Stern Advice & ReWives RHONJ Season 1, Ep. 1) Jan 07, 2023

Show notes

Kim D. is kicking the New Year off in rare form, with, shocker, a lot to say. First things first, Kim is coming in hot after revealing information last week about how she claims Rachel Fuda allegedly “landed" her spot on RHONJ, she talks about the fall out from that claim from Rachel, where that claim originated and offers advice to Ms. Fuda moving forward. Welcome to RHONJ, Rachel. In other news, Kim weighs in on many of the recent RHONJ New Years happenings - Tre, Luis and family on the cover of People Magazine, Melissa Gorga shaded by Caroline Manzo’s brother, Melissa Gorga’s recent claims about Kim - which of course Kim claps back at, new info in the Dina Manzo / Teresa “fall out” and last, but certainly not least, the four $12,500 Cartier Juste Un Clou Bracelets Teresa’s daughters received as a holiday gift from Mr. Luis Ruelas. Real or Fake? To help clarify, David pulls out his real one and off to the races we go. Finally, as promised, Kim is doing her own “ReWife” beginning with RHONJ Season One, Episode One - breaking it all down and spilling Behind The Scenes tea regarding Danielle Staub, Caroline & Dina Manzo, Teresa and Jacqueline.

ADORE DELANO (on RHOBH, American Idol, Drag Race, Khloe Kardashian & World Domination!) Jan 05, 2023

Show notes

Adore Delano steps Behind The Rope. About to embark on the US leg of her World Tour, Adore is here to mention it all. Adore starts at the beginning of how the world first came to know her as Danny Noriega, semi finalist on Season Seven of American Idol. Adore chats Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, the Idol experience and what it was like to have been on the receiving end of a typical day for Mr. Simon Cowell. Adore talks life after Idol - appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres show, being hired by Rosie O’Donnell to perform on her legendary “Rosie” cruises and the birth, as we know her, of Adore Delano. Adore talks about Drag Race - joining, finishing second, returning for All Stars, Mama Ru, guest judge Khloe Kardashian and the state of the show today which has traditionally come under scrutiny for its inclusion, or lack thereof, of all aspects of the LGBTQIA+ rainbow. Speaking of that World Tour, Adore talks musical influences, rock and roll and just what one can expect from an Adore Delano show which starts later this month at the famed Whisky A Go Go in Downtown LA! We cannot wait!

JAIME GLEICHER (on MTV's Rich Girls, Co-Stars, Reality TV & The Pitfalls of Fame) Dec 30, 2022

Show notes

One of the pioneers of reality television, Jaime Gleicher, steps Behind The Rope. Before there was Kathy & Kyle, Melissa & Tre, Erika & Rinna, there was Ally (Hilfiger - yes daughter of Tommy) & Jaime, stars of the MTV reality mega hit, Rich Girls, which followed the lives of two wealthy New York City girls as they completed their final semester of high school before entering college and adulthood. Jaime, who is currently writing a book on her life, reflects upon her time on the show and what being thrust into the spotlight at a young age entailed. Jaime discusses the other reality juggernauts at the time Rich Girls began - The Osbournes, Newlyweds and Queer Eye. On a more serious note, Jaime is forthcoming about her real life struggles with an eating disorder and depression, which she hid from production during the filming of Rich Girls. These two dive into how Rich Girls came about, filming, editing, production and the promotion of the show. Jaime, now 35 and a Psychotherapist (a Barnard graduate, smarty pants), discusses the potential pitfalls of fame at an early age and how she "came out the other side". Until her book is published (300 pages and counting), listen here for an all access exclusive.

Flipping Out's MEGAN WEAVER (on Jeff Lewis, Teddi Mellencamp's "All In", Jenni, Gage & Randall/Lala) - II Dec 29, 2022

Show notes

Flipping Out’s Megan Weaver returns Behind The Rope. Megan takes us back to the beginning, her first job working as a Production Assistant for Steven Spielberg which led to run ins with Antonio Banderas, Tom Hanks, and oh, there was that one time she stayed in Leo DiCaprio’s Malibu Beach House. One day she met Jeff Lewis in a restaurant bathroom, and soon Megan found herself working for our favorite House Flipper and starring on Bravo’s Hit Show, “Flipping Out”. Megan, being a prior fan of the show, recalls how excited she was during her interview when Zoila and Jenni were there, floating around working at Jeff Lewis Design. We talk about some of Megan and Jeff’s Housewife BFFS, Kelly Dodd, Shannon Storms Beador and Teddi Mellencamp. Yes Megan and Jeff did Teddi’s much criticized ALL IN Program. Do tell. She does! Megan discusses the fall out between Jeff and Jenni Pulos, the current status of that relationship, how that affected her own relationship with Jenni and what she predicts for the future of that relationship. Megan also opens up about Jeff’s relationship with Gage Edward, the end of that relationship and Jeff’s new man, Scott Anderson. We also discuss her work on Lala and Randall’s house as well as Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green's house. Speaking of Brian Austin Green (anything for a shameless 90210 reference), Jeff’s current neighbor is Machine Gun Kelly which leads to a very interesting conversation!
