    Show notes

There's nothing wrong with goal setting and crushing goals next year. While that has its place, it is really in the shadow of your intention. When your intention is aligned and strong, the how-to comes with it. If we focus on the goal and not the intention, we set ourselves up for failure. Look back at this past year and close it out in a way that is a beautiful release that you can move on from. Don't bury it or skip over it. Accept it and thank it for what it was, and now let's make sure we have the right intentions for 2023.

151 - Why She Creates Chaos and Drama and Sabotages Stability Dec 19, 2022
    Show notes

Many of us are drawn to drama, connect through gossip, repeatedly tell tragic stories, mistake trauma bonding for chemistry and expect a catastrophe at any moment.

    Ever wonder why?

Is this you and you're curious if you can change?

    This used to be Jill.

Here's what she learned and how these behaviors are in her past.

Jill is a certified trauma informed life coach with training in somatics. When she experienced the absence of chaos (everything she prayed for) and for the first time no longer had a desire to convert that void to pain and drama, she knew the somatic work she had done with her coaches "worked". Two years of releasing and transmuting stuck and hidden trauma brought an entirely new way of living.

For her entire life she had no idea that her pattern of thriving on adrenaline, drama, conflict and chaos was a result of events in her early childhood and teen years. She had no idea that although she was so positive, driven, outgoing and kind-hearted she was coming across as dramatic, stressed, a gossip, and seeking chaos.

In this episode, Jill explains where the patterns, behaviors, and stories come from in people who seek and prefer drama and chaos. She shares her journey from hypervigilance and catastrophizing to peace and groundedness and invites the listener to get curious about their own.

    Show notes

As we talk about shedding and peeling back the layers that are covering up the real us, we start to gain confidence to be the person we're designed to be. It's not easy and it certainly can be startling in how many ways we change. The core never changes, but the rest of it grows and evolves as we blossom.

Let this episode be a reminder to you that the work you are doing is challenging, but worth it. Let it be a reminder to always tune into your intuition (it's never wrong!) and of all the ways you are excavating to real you.

148 - Why You Deserve to Forgive Yourself Nov 28, 2022
    Show notes

We talk a lot about gratitude but how grateful can we really be when we're full of regret, judgment, and guilt over choices we haven't forgiven ourselves for?

It's like trying to hold something in a container already full to its brim.

What's the payoff we're addicted to that keeps us from truly letting US off the hook?

Why is it so hard to give us what we say everyone else deserves?

How will our life change when we truly forgive ourselves?

In this episode, Jill shares why so many of us are addicted to guilt and regret and why we fear self-forgiveness. She helps the listener wade in the waters of freedom and invites you to go deeper and deeper by gently allowing yourself to be forgiven for anything you did from a place of not knowing better and connects that practice to your ability or inability to hold everything you desire.
