Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019) Jul 26, 2019

Show notes

We went and saw "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood", the latest movie written and directed by Quentin Tarantino, starring Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Margot Robbie. It's not his best film, it's certainly not his "worst", but for us it's extremely watchable throughout it's nearly three hour run-time and when it finally goes off the rails in the last reel, hoo-boy. Brad and Leo are having a lot of fun, the film is as gorgeous as you'd expect, and Hollywood looks as magical as it ever has on screen. We'll be back next week to check out Hobbes and Shaw, see you then!

Harlots - 303 Jul 25, 2019

Show notes

Cecily and A.Ron are back to mourn the loss of a pillar in the Harlots community. What an episode! We were having so much fun, on the edge of our seats, giggling over our muff pistols, eagerly anticipating what a flustercuck the boxing match at Lady Fitz' palace was shaping up to be, and then Harlots crossovered with Game of Thrones, and we're not talking in terms of Theon Greyjoy. It will be interesting to see how the characters will weather the loss, or the show itself for that matter. We have faith in Ms. Newman and Buffini, but we're still reeling from the gut punch they hit us with. Come back next week as no doubt team Wells-North burns down London in some insane revenge plot!

The Lion King (2019) Jul 19, 2019

Show notes

Jim and A.Ron have seen the "live-action" remake of The Lion King, but why? Why was this film made? I mean, we know the rea$on$ The Mouse is jamming this joyless attempt at cinema down our throats, but really, why? A stellar vocal cast can't even come close to making it worth it. It's hard to think of a more pointless endeavor, and it's \all down hill after the cold open. Stay at home, save your money, and put on your best copy of the original on your biggest screen and crank up the sound. Enough with this pretender. Long live the original King! We'll be back next week to rinse this rancid wildebeast from our mouths with the taste of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood!

Harlots - 301 Jul 12, 2019

Show notes

A.Ron and Cecily are here to peddle podcasts for Hulu's very lush, very fun, Harlots, back now for it's third tawdry season. We run down all of our favorite characters and their positions and predicaments. How will Charlotte (Downton Abbey's Jessica Brown-Findlay) defend her burning bawdy house from the rash advances of London's latest pimp Isaac Pincher, played by the always punchable face of Alfie Allen (Game of Thrones Theon Greyjoy)? How will high society deal with Lady Fitz' (Liv Tyler) embrace of her sordid past? And will Lucy's dabbling in the molly boy trade put her neck in the noose? We'll find out in the weeks ahead!
