The United States Women’s National Team is set to play their first matches of 2022 (3:15) and head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named his 23-player roster (5:01). Sandra and Lisa discuss the biggest names missing from the roster (10:01) - Sam Mewis, Alex Morgan, Trinity Rodman - and highlight some of the players called up that deserve recognition (19:46). They discuss formation possibilities with midfielder Cat Macario and forward Margaret Purce (23:39). Then, they discuss the latest news in the sport starting with the 2021 NWSL Rookie of the Year Trinity Rodman making history with her $1.1 Million 4-year contract with Washington Spirit (28:27. Injury updates around the NWSL including Chicago’s forward Kealia Watt (33:03), Angel City’s midfielder Julie Ertz(41:36) and then honoring the career of now-retired Portland Thorns midfielder Angela Salem (34:01). Both Yael and Lori touch on their playing days, their highest salaries and how proud they are of the current players for finding their voice and fighting for what they deserve. Yael heIped found the NWSL Players Association when she was a player and then served on the board as executive director for years. Yael recounts her time on the board and how the goals of the PA have shifted over the past few years to truly progress the league and make it better. Both Lori and Yael discuss the biggest points of the CBA and how it changes the women's game in the United States forever.

The Chicago Red Stars announce they will not have a head coach to start the 2022 NWSL preseason. The original deadline the club assigned themselves of January 2022 has passed and they cannot "find a candidate that our players deserve." The Red Stars did hire a new GM in former NWSL player Michelle Lomnicki. Other NWSL clubs have re-signings - Christine Sinclaire, Rose Lavelle, Megan Rapinoe. The NWSL says goodbye to Lindsey Horan who is going overseas and former USWNT star Amy Rodriguez who is heading to USC as an assistant coach. Plus, does Orlando Pride have enough players to field a team?

The NWSL Players Association demands that the league agrees on a deal for a collective bargaining agreement ahead of the 10th NWSL season, or the players will not report to their respective clubs for preseason on February 1. They discuss the process for securing a CBA, the best-case scenario and what happens if the players strike. Next, Sandra and Lisa update the ongoing Washington Spirit ownership battle between Steve Baldwin and Y. Michele Kang. Baldwin sent a letter to NWSL owners discussing accusations of misconduct by Kang. Plus, they give a round-up of the AFC Women’s Cup - which teams got out of the Group Stages, what happened to India and who moves on to the quarterfinals.

San Diego Wave FC signs the club’s first two midfielders, Emily van Edmond and Taylor Korniak from Orlando Pride while also making a move for Sweedish international Sofia Jakobsson (4:46). Although Orlando Pride looks to be losing more players than they are gaining, they sign forward Darian Jenkins and announce the addition of Michelle Akers to Amanda Cromwell’s coaching staff (13:23). Gotham, OL Reign and Kansas City announce a slew of contract renewals and extensions from Margarate Purce to Kristin Edmonds (32:49). The FIFAPRO World XI was announced and despite being player-voted, not a single Barcelona player is honored (36:55). Plus, they discuss the latest in the NWSL Coaching updates and all they know on Chicago Red Stars hiring a new coach ahead of the 2022 season (43:48).
