The guys had a ton of sharp action to talk about for both Week 2 of the college football season and Week 1 of the NFL season.
Respected money and big bets are moving sides and totals in the market and Adam and Brent ran through a list of games that have taken sharp money at DSI and also some games that have just been movers in the market, like LSU vs. Texas. There were a lot of games and a lot of important betting thoughts on this segment.

Along with those games and strategies, the guys talked about how Fabian got his start and interest in the NFL and the guys also took a brief look at Giants vs. Cowboys. It was excellent to get a new perspective on BangTheBook Radio and one that comes from a very sharp frame of mind in the NFL.

We got a lot of listener requests for games and made it a point to hit over 15 college football games with free picks and insights on this segment.
Included in those 15 games were Syracuse vs. Maryland, South Florida vs. Georgia Tech, Nebraska vs. Colorado, Texas A&M vs. Clemson, San Diego State vs. UCLA, North Texas vs. SMU, BYU vs. Tennessee, UCF vs. FAU, and Cal vs. Washington. Even with all that college football, the guys still had a moment to talk NFL Week 1 and get some of Brad’s strategies with that.

Adam and Ralph looked at power ratings adjustments and observations following Week 1 and then hit on Vandy vs. Purdue, LSU vs. Texas, and Miami vs. UNC before surveying the Week 1 NFL card.
A lot of things happened in Week 1 of the college football season and those things could have an impact on Week 2. Adam and Ralph talked about making adjustments to what we saw in that first week and about how those adjustments will carry over into Week 2. Adam and Kyle recapped Week 1, discussed power ratings adjustments, and then looked at several games with free picks for Week 2.
Week 1 was certainly interesting, as we’ve seen some overreactions in the betting market and also some line movement on the early numbers for games. Adam and Kyle talked about how they update their power ratings and what they use to avoid overreacting to one set of games. They also talked Notre Dame vs. Louisville before shifting gears to Week 2. Kyle gave a strong totals angle for Week 2 and the guys touched on several games, including Cincinnati vs. Ohio State, Nebraska vs. Colorado, and BYU vs. Tennessee.

On the Monday September 2 edition of BangTheBook Radio, host Adam Burke flew solo to talk Major League Baseball and NFL to kick off the Labor Day edition of the show. Adam discussed September baseball betting and looked at the Week 1 NFL lines to forecast some line moves heading into the kickoff of the 2019 season.
On the NFL portion of the segment, Adam took a look at the current betting odds and forecasted some line moves. He also talked about the timing of line moves and the context of the NFL betting market, which is far more about numbers than it is about teams like college football is. It was a good segment and a good open to the week.
