Trigger Run Productions Returns Nov 23, 2021

'''Trigger Run Production (TRP)''' is one of [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albany,_Georgia Albany’s (GA)] greatest hidden treasures in the city’s underground music and entertainment scene. The musical dance/rap group composed of students from Monroe and Westover High School started performing back in 1989 at a local high school talent show. However, it was not until the fall of 1993 that would send Trigger Run into the stratosphere as a local treasure, and entertainment ambassadors, of the city as they would perform center stage on the world renown and famed amateur night at the Apollo Theater in New York City, NY.
This platform would serve as the catalyst that would set the city a blaze thus catapulting Trigger Run into the urban legend that it has become known today as one of the city’s most versatile and influential [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hip_hop_music hip-hop] groups born and raised in the Good Life City.
Trigger Run would find marginal success in 1992 teaming up with WJIZ (96.3), and the Pride of Albany, to perform their first professional concert at the Albany Amphitheater along the city’s riverfront. Looking to expand their musical prowess, in the summer of ‘94, the group would venture down south to team up with Miami Bass artist Clay D and Total Kaos as the opening act to promote their indie single release “Pump Ya Fist”. In 1998, Trigger Run would travel north to the new Motown known as Atlanta to perform their second indie release single “Toss It Up”.
Trigger Run’s underground music revolution created a cosmetic shift that would resonate throughout the city and re-inspired a musical revolution not known since Albany’s own Ray Charles.
Trigger Run’s influence would help unearth undiscovered talent thus inspiring a music revolution that would birth record labels such as Southern House, Platinum Sound Studios and arguably one of the most successful rap groups to call Albany home, [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_Mob Field Mob] (Shawn Timothy Johnson and Darion Crawford).

About this Actor: Romaine Waite was born in Jamaica and raised in Canada. Romaine found his love for performing at an early age when he took drama at his high school. It wasn’t until he earned a role in a small indie film when he realized acting was a career he wanted to pursue in life.
After a small stint in theatre, Romaine would make the transition to film and television when he got cast in numerous short and independent films. In the wake of the pandemic, women’s job satisfaction has dropped significantly, women have opted out of the workforce troublingly large numbers, and women’s optimism about their careers has declined. Fortunately, women’s leadership expert Andrea Kayne can help.
Kayne, author of the forthcoming book KICKING ASS IN A CORSET, has taught women — from police officers in Chicago to educators in Beijing — how to thrive in any workplace environment.
Kayne argues that the answer to the challenges women in the workplace face — from pressure to be likeable, lack of mentors and sponsors, and gender discrimination, to financial inequity, gendered career paths, and disproportionate family responsibility — is “internally referenced leadership.” That is: drawing from an internal locus of control rather than external forces.
Moreover, Kayne has found examples of women who have done this well in a very unexpected place — the novels of Jane Austen, written more than 200 years ago.

From Tiffany Danielle: I’m a native Georgian, flower child, and the voice behind TDXO. I have to admit straight-away, I’m a recovering perfectionist, and have retyped this same sentence 12 times. Which IS significant progress, so that tells you where we started :P

In an era of hustle, I’m a free spirit with a fiercely determined and creative soul seeking to empower, encourage, educate, and embrace my community.
I’ve always been an entrepreneur in some capacity, even when I was working the typical 9-5 grind, because I thought that’s what you had to DO: work a “normal” job with “normal hours'' and quickly realized I was never, ever going to fit into this rigid box of what “normal” looked like!

As a result, I learned early in life that this concept of ‘normal’ is a trick!!! To keep the majority of us (mostly, females) trapped in the cycle of supporting someone else’s dream and not your own. Because, honestly it’s nearly impossible to break out of that mold if you feel like you’re a slave to your career. Let me just tell you, no one is going to admit that you are actually capable of more, if they feel like it will negatively impact their business.

Boom. I said it. *queue Beyonce* I ain’t sorry.

This is where I’ve found this extension of myself where I get to help people understand that you get to live whatever f’in type of life you want to live with ABUNDANCE. You just have to get out of your own freaking way.

This is not me hating! I’m just totally aware of what oppression looks like in society and once you “see,” it’s impossible to “unsee.” It’s my blessed gift to be able to help my sisters discover their unique balance to expedite their path to an abundant life of health, wealth, beauty and next level fun on their journey.
I’ve spent many years building a community of followers and friends (yes, friends!) who I have connected with through lifestyle, beauty, selfcare, and motherhood advice. I find a great deal of pride in my relationship with all of you and I’m constantly seeking out new ways to best serve and embrace you.

Firepit Pizza Tavern was created by Leslie Cohen, an Atlanta native and winner of the Food Network's “Cutthroat Kitchen”. She studied Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales and worked under world-famous Chef Richard Blais.
Firepit brings seditiously delicious pizza to Atlanta's historic Grant Park neighborhood and is located in the Larkin on Memorial shopping center across from Oakland Cemetery.
A full-service restaurant and bar, the popular haunt boasts an expansive menu of appetizers, pizzas, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and more using the freshest, quality ingredients. Firepit also boasts an impressive selection of craft beer, wines, and specialty cocktails.

The Joy Of Lily’s Toy Box Nov 03, 2021

Twelve-year-old Lily DuBose has seen what it's like to lose precious belongings during a hurricane. That’s exactly what happened to her Houston community during Hurricane Harvey a few years back. Her decision to donate her toys to kids in need inspired the idea for her non-profit, Lily’s Toy Box. The group has donated over 17,000 toys to kids across the U.S. in the past three years!
Lily’s inspirational story to help fellow kids going through hard times makes a great segment that will hit home for many families this year. Recently, this young dynamo raised funds to purchase 15 pallets of new toys that went to kids affected by Hurricane Ida. She is a rainbow after a storm or hardship.
The non-profit is run by Lily and her parents, Jessica and James. The trio sends an enormous amount of gifts to kids for Christmas each year. They see to it that names are handwritten on every item and that all presents are wrapped.
“During Hurricane Harvey, my mom and I were in the closet when it was thundering and lightning outside,” says Lily. “It was my first hurricane and I was very scared. My mom was streaming the news on her iPad and I found it so sad that hundreds of kids had to evacuate from their homes and lose their toys. I knew I couldn't donate furniture but I wanted to help. Then I had an idea, I would give away my toys! The first toy I chose to give away was a Lego set and that’s how it all began.”
Lily’s Toy Box is asking for donations this holiday season so that they can increase the good work they’re doing in communities. The hope is that the more attention given to the non-profit, the more funds they’ll be able to raise, so we’re super passionate about getting the word out now for the upcoming months.
