My upcoming book When Women Get Sick shows women and their supporters how to maximize coverage, benefits and security and minimize stress, fear and confusion as they navigate illness. It will make people angry, because it exposes just how deficient our healthcare system is and how it hurts women. But it will empower women with cancer and other serious illnesses to get the right help and avoid being left holding the bag as they fight for their wellness.

When Women Get Sick uses the power of storytelling, and the experience of a twenty five years in-the-trenches advocate to educate women about what to worry about when they get sick. It’s often a “clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right” situation; a messy mix of the healthcare provider system, third party payers, employers, and slow-as-molasses government entities. The book guides readers through the navigation process with stories, questions, checklists, and useful information. The big idea here is to give women agency, empowering them with practical tools they can use as they deal with illness. No question another goal is to inspire others to support women on these healthcare and workplace journeys; to advocate for them the way I have.

About the brand: Sweet Vegan grew out of my love of creating healthy and delicious treats for people I care about. Although for most of my life I couldn’t imagine running my own food company, my journey to doing so began in an Indiana kitchen, learning to cook and bake from my maternal grandmother, Georgia.
When I was six, my parents separated and my mother, a schoolteacher, was left to raise five children on her own. As the eldest daughter, I became responsible for a lot of the cooking for the family. My love of making desserts and especially lovely, decorated cakes flourished under my grandmother’s example and instruction.
That same passion for the aesthetic of cake decorating fueled my interest in design. This led me from Indianapolis to Parsons School of Design in New York City and on to a successful career as an interior designer.
Many years later, while visiting New York City, my mother took a tumble and became my long-term houseguest. To aid in her healing, I hired a personal chef to prepare vegan meals.
Working alongside the chef in my own kitchen brought me right back to those wonderful, youthful days cooking with Grandma Georgia. It wasn’t long after my mother returned to her home in Florida that I decided to enroll in The Natural Kitchen Cooking School. In 2008, my proud mother returned to NYC to celebrate my graduation.
While all my chocolates are vegan, nut-free, dairy-free, and gluten-free, they’re not just for vegans or those with food allergies.
I’ve dedicated myself to creating great tasting chocolates. I eliminate everything that gets in the way of experiencing the true flavor of chocolate and combine real fruit and fresh ingredients. Sweet Vegan chocolates are for anyone who really loves chocolate.

The award-winning creator and developer of more than 100 titles, Darren G. Davis is one of the
leading lights of independent comic-book and graphic novel publishers. He has masterminded
several very successful comic book ventures including 10th Muse, Legend of Isis and Insane
Jane. The latter is currently in production as a major television program.
Davis, as the president of TidalWave Publishing (formerly BlueWater Productions), has
developed several iconic titles over the past nearly 20 years including The 10th Muse for Image
Comics. In that time, he has carved out a successful niche in the fiction world with successful
collaborations with iconic genre heroes including William Shatner (Star Trek), Adam West
(Batman), Vincent Price, Ray Harryhausen (Clash of the Titans/Jason and the
Argonauts/Sinbad), William Nolan (Logan's Run), Roger Corman, and many others. These
projects including "Wrath of the Titans," "Logan's Run Last Day," "TekWar Chronicles" and
"Vincent Price Presents" have, in their own right, become part of the canon of each property.
As popular as his fiction books, Davis is singularly responsible for the resurgence of the nonfiction
comic book. With his partnership through libraries, school systems and other learning
centers, Davis has dramatically expanded readership with his collection of biographies.
These biographies, ranging from US Presidents and other political leaders to entertainment personalities
to notable business leaders, helped redefine and reenergize a once-forgotten genre of comic
books. His titles including Female Force, the national mainstream media has embraced Political
Power, Tribute and Orbit. Davis has appeared in many news features including CNN Fox News,
The View, The Tonight Show, Vanity Fair, New York Times, and even, TMZ!
Davis credits reading comic books as a youth as the chief reason he overcame diagnosed reading
issues. In fact, Davis now continually promotes reading and creating comic books through a
program provided free to schools. "Comic Book 101" has been personally presented at dozens of
schools. He has also been invited to speak at many conventions and conferences. This includes
Yale University and Mensa!
Davis has enjoyed a long career in the entertainment industry. Starting as a sales person at E!
Entertainment, he went on to work for DC Comics, Image, and Wizard before forming his own
production company. His very first independent creation, The Tenth Muse, became the 6th
highest grossing book of 2001. This is significant considering competition from well-known and
well- established titles.
In 2015, Davis started StormFront Publishing in order to expand his
professional experience into other media including television, podcasts and other multi-media
ventures. Insane Jane is currently in production with Dollhouse alum Laurie Miracle attached to
star in the eponymous role. Davis' 10th Muse and Legend of Isis has also been optioned and in
development. Davis created Wrath of the Titans was produced by Warner Bros.in 2012. Several
of Davis's other titles including Vincent Price Presents, Sinbad Rogue of Mars, Ray
Harryhausen's The Elementals and Logan's Run have been adapted as radio dramas broadcast by
Colonial Radio Theater over their SiriusXM channel.

Terra Cribbs, earned a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a Minor in Chinese Studies from University of California San Diego. She was awarded a research fellowship to attend Clark Atlanta University as graduate student where she received a Masters degree in Library and Information Science.
After specializing in Academic Librarianship, she did a complete 360 and found her passion working with young children and teens as a Senior Librarian Manager for over 20 years.
Terra has always been passionate about being her own boss. She created and launched several business projects; even in the womb she was busy working on ways to leave her mark on the world.
However, her mentor shared with her a valuable life changing tip, “To have the best chance at long-term sustainable wealth find a home-based business opportunity that fits all 3 of the following criteria; 1. Does the company offer consumable products? 2. Are the products unique? 3. Is the business a ground-floor opportunity."

Michael Puck, a Senior Certified Professional with the Society of Human Resource Management, is an animal-loving philanthropist who merged his economics education and career in human resources with his lifelong passions for both dogs and photography. The unlikely combination led to the discovery of how photographs of dogs can solve some of the most pressing human challenges in business and clinical settings. Read It Again is a family business. Opened in 2002 by mother and daughter team Della and Kim McNamara. Read It Again, just like any other family, is all about the people who fill it. Our staff is part of our family. Many of our employees have been with us since the beginning. We’ve watched the teenagers we’ve hired grow up and start their own families. We know our customers by name and by what they read. Our connection with our customers is our favorite part of our store, it might even be more important than the books! When people walk in the door we want everyone to feel like they are coming home.
Read It Again is a NEW and USED bookstore located in John's Creek, GA. We also carry an charming selection of gifts, cards and novelties. We pride ourselves on our customer service. Our staff is competent, friendly, and very well-read. Our entire inventory is computerized, allowing us to do a quick and efficient search by title or by author. We keep our store bright, neat and organized. If we don't have the book you are looking for, we are more than happy to call if you if a used copy comes in. We are also able to order new books in person or over the phone. New book orders typically only take a few business days to arrive.
At Read It Again, we’re the little guy with big service.
So, what about our books?
At Read It Again, we give trade credit for the books you bring in. You can use that credit towards other USED books in the store. Sorry, but you can’t use your credit for new books or gifts. All of our new books are discounted. New books for school get extra discounts! We love teachers! If you are a teacher, make sure you tell us when you come in.
