Episode 42: Getting it done with the kids May 06, 2006
    Show notes

Boy, isn't it a "glorious grind?" The lucky spell still seems to be working for Jeff and Steven and they aren't about to change a thing. Kelvim Escobar makes a surprise return to the rotation and pitches dominating baseball and is part of shutting out Toronto for the first time this season. Great game which saw Tim Salmon return to right field and the youngsters continue to put good wood on the ball. Juan Rivera has a monster day in Salt Lake and looks ready to rejoin the team and provide them with a much needed lift.

Episode 41: Loosing becomes us May 05, 2006
    Show notes

The Angels return to the Rogers Center / Sky Dome and pick up from where they left last season with a loss. Enough all ready. Jeff and Steven take responsibility for this one by failing to say, "glorious grind" in yesterday's show. They remedy this with tonight's show and things are looking up for tomorrow. The kids continue to perform... now we just need the regulars to get in the game.

Episode 40: Welcome to the show! May 04, 2006
    Show notes

The train has arrived and good fortune has followed! The six game skid is done with major contributions coming from the new guys. Mike Napoli says hello to the Major Leagues with a home run in his first at bat. Tommy Murphy cashes in with two hits and an RBI in his first game. Finally, Howie Kendrick gets an RBI of his own. Jeff and Steven celebrate the good times as we anticipate the upcoming reunion with Benjie Molina and Troy Glaus in Toronto.

Episode 39: Weaver gets no support May 03, 2006
    Show notes

Sad days are still at hand for Halo fans. We drop our 6th in a row this time to the Detroit Tigers. Where and when will the loosing end? Steven is doing a better job of taking these losses in stride. Tonight's victim of our inept offense was Jeff Weaver. He has his strongest outing as an Angel and gets hung with a loss. Something's got to give.

Episode 38: Hopefully hitting bottom May 02, 2006
    Show notes

Five in a row. The only upside was a good brawl between Big John and Jason Kendall. The umpires don't have a clue these days. Where-for-art-thou wisdom and discernment. The blue crew continues to confound by tossing both players, warning the benches, and then not enforcing their warning when Quinlan is hit in retaliation in the 9th inning of a blow-out! Jeff and Steven get mad and go off in one of the most chaotic shows to date.

Episode 37: Great game - bad outcome May 01, 2006
    Show notes

Four losses in a row is tough for Steven to swallow, but Jeff insists that it was an incredible game. The most consistently exciting baseball played anywhere is between our Angels and the Oakland Athletics -- and tonight's game was no exception. This loss cannot be hung on Hector Carrasco's big shoulders as he pitches a gem. Jeff asks the rhetorical question, "what is the sound of no bats hitting?"

Episode 36: White Sox pull out their brooms Apr 30, 2006
    Show notes

In the continuing futility that is the Angels playing the White Sox, the good guys loose again. We mostly shot ourselves in the foot: Ervin Santana gives up two, two run leads, base running blunders by Tim Salmon and Reggie Willits, and a wild pitch allowing the game winning run. Jeff is back in his big chair after riding the pine for 18 and along with Steven, they break down all the frustration.

Episode 35: Another frustrating loss to ChiSox Apr 29, 2006
    Show notes

With Jeff still out at Lake Arrowhead, Tricia continues to pinch hit, but the real reason comes out as Steven and Tricia discuss the frustrating 2-1 loss to the HATED White Sox. Escobar leaves the game early after a strong 5 innings, Tricia questions the lineup in Second Guessing Scioscia, while Steven questions the call to leave Alfonzo in to bat in the bottom of the ninth with 2 outs and 2 men on. Jeff joins via Skype again to talk about the game and to make sure we all know he will be back.

Episode 34: Vlad is Great but Weaver Bombs Apr 28, 2006
    Show notes

With Jeff hiding out at Lake Arrowhead, Tricia Miranda comes in to pinch hit for Jeff and hits a home run. Steven and Tricia discuss the ugly loss to the White Sox and Jeff Weaver’s poor performance. Jeff joins via Skype to rant on the 2nd inning disaster and the ESPN radio antenna. Steven raves on Garrett Anderson while Tricia raves on the bull pen and Kevin Gregg. Plus David Eckstein returns in our This Day in Angels History segment.

Episode 33: Steven's Big Dog steps up big Apr 26, 2006
    Show notes

The Angels take 2 out of 3 from the Detroit Tigers and look forward to the much anticipated return of the team that ended our 2005 season. Steven's Big Dog steps up big and goes 8 strong innings while allowing only 1 hit. While, impressive, Jeff is still concerned about the rising number of walks which are accompanying John's success. The guys and team will take the day off tomorrow and come out swinging on Friday.
