Episode 48: Too long a game to loose May 19, 2006
    Show notes

Angels suffer a frustrating 4:20 minute 13 inning loss to divisional rival Seattle Mariners. Kind of threw cold water on Tim Salmon's grand moment of passing the 1,000 RBI mark. He became only the second player in team history to eclipse this milestone. Steven is back in his chair and in classic form as he rants on MLB's cookie cutter web presence and the "cheap shots" his wife took along with her brother last night as she pinch hit for him.

Episode 52: New season low... 7 games under May 18, 2006
    Show notes

Please join Jeff and Steven (if you dare). They are a bit steamed up after the most frustrating loss of the season. Having witnessed it live from the Big A, they were close enough to smell the stench of this struggling team. Things then get testy in the clubhouse after the game where the players vented their frustrations. Dark days for the Angels and their fans. Hopefully the boys of summer have hit bottom and we will get well against the Dodgers tomorrow night.

Episode 51: Local boy does good... again May 17, 2006
    Show notes

Orange native, Casey Janssen would love to pitch against the Angels every time he takes the ball. We would rather never see him again. The kid comes out to play and the bats go away. No one could get anything going against this guy. At the quarter pole in this 2006 season, it is suggested that what we are missing is a leader on the field. With injuries slowing our only real team leader, Darrin Erstad, the void seems immense. Steven and Jeff wonder what will become of this group of "nice" and "quiet" guys.

Episode 50: At least for tonight, we don't stink May 16, 2006
    Show notes

Toronto comes to town and the Angels manage to win for only the second time in nine home games. Ervin Santana was pitching well and the bats showed up to support him. Despite evil umpires attempting to make life difficult for us by blowing calls -- we still prevail. The flying Molina brothers swipe bags off of each other and Vlad smacks his 10th dinger of the season. Jeff and Steven soak in this rare victory and have one of their best shows ever.

Episode 49: Committment to mediocrity May 14, 2006
    Show notes

The guys drop another one and loose the weekend series to Seattle on Mother's Day 2006. Jeff Weaver got us into trouble early, the team battled back to tie, and on the next pitch, Weaver served up a fat one to Carl Everett to untie it. Steven wonders aloud about where we are heading as a team and if it is too soon to draw conclusions. Jeff urges patience, but acknowledges that 6 games under .500 is not okay for a team that should contend in a relatively weak division.

Episode 47: Madness remains at bay May 12, 2006
    Show notes

Steven is away and the siblings play. Tricia pinch hits for hubby Steven and has a good time pointing out her big brother's foibles. Fortunately all anyone will remember is the dominating Angels performance over divisional rival Seattle Mariners. The day off with rain yesterday seems to have not watered down the blooming Halo offense. Kelvim Escobar struggles a little, but his teammates get his back in a big way matching the offensive explosion of their closing game in Chicago.

Episode 46: Madness ends tonight May 10, 2006
    Show notes

Order begins being restored as Steven's prediction proves correct. The Angels got to the rookie knuckleballer and knocked him silly. While the Angels only managed a total of nine runs the past five games, tonight they unloaded on Chicago for 12 runs. Hopefully this is the beginning of good times to come. In the time machine, Jeff remembers the 2002 season when we also kicked the snot out of these same White Stockings.

Episode 45: When will the madness end? May 09, 2006
    Show notes

The guys are beginning to crack under the pressure of this stinky season. Jeff goes so far as to wonder if this will become a rebuilding year. The entire show is pretty much one giant rant. The Bee sighting of the day is none other than Dallas McPherson who struck out 50% of the time at triple-A.

Episode 44: The nightmare continues May 08, 2006
    Show notes

Jeff and Steven try to cope with the nastiest run of futility in recent Halo history. Tonight Benjie Molina exacted some revenge with a two run HR which was part of a very strange end to Jeff Weaver's no-hitter. Angel bats could not be more silent and from where will our help come? Things look like they are headed from bad to worse as the team now flies to Chicago to face the World Series Champion White Sox. Something's gotta give, but when?

Episode 43: Big John's big effort wasted May 07, 2006
    Show notes

Lucky "glorious grind" spell has been broken and we return to life without stupid superstitions. Steven's dog gets no support as the team looses again. The fortunate thing is that the entire AL Worst is struggling to score so we do not falling further behind in the division. In the good news bad news department the guys look forward to the return of Juan Rivera from the Disabled List tomorrow, but Darrin Erstad will be taking his place...
