530: A Sandwich and Some Jason Freakin' Momoa! Jun 06, 2024

Show notes

Kellie and Allen had one of the coolest experiences of their married life so far…..they met Jason Freakin’ Momoa! Hear all about Jason’s new Meile vodka, their uncomfortably long conversation and the lewd jokes that apparently flew right over Kellie’s head.
Last podcast, Allen was brought to tears over Red Lobster’s letter announcing their bankruptcy. This podcast, he’s devastated over the death of one of his sports heroes, former Dallas Cowboy Larry Allen.
In listener mail, Kellie is asked if she thinks Kidd would’ve approved of Allen, and she gives a VERY honest answer. Another listener adds to Allen’s list of social media annoyances, and we have a followup from a new Allen fan who can’t seem to stop using Allen’s sayings in his every day life.
Should Kellie start a THIRD podcast discussing all things Real Housewives of Bravo?
And if you’re looking for another game to play on your phone, hear about Kellie’s latest obsession. You’ll either thank her or curse her for it later…

529: A Sandwich and Some Hot Biker Babe May 22, 2024

Show notes

On the last podcast, Kellie and Allen teased they had a big announcement coming soon — and the time to announce it is now! To Allen’s shock and utter disbelief, Kellie said she wanted to learn to ride a 3WV and become the only female brand ambassador for Can-Am Ryker! As part of the deal, she took a 3WV safety class and is now certified for on-road riding!
You’ll hear about Kellie’s class….and Allen’s cautious excitement for her.
In listener mail, Kellie gets support for her “ailments” while Allen turns another foe into a fan. But when it’s time to read a letter posted by Red Lobster, Allen gets too choked up to read it so Kellie has to take over. Then Kellie reveals a horrifyingly embarrassing story involving meeting Allen’s kids and a fried Admiral’s Feast.

528: A Sandwich and Some Stiff Swingin’ May 09, 2024

Show notes

Kellie and Allen hit up the driving range for the first time in 2024! After 3 golf lessons last year, Kellie tried to pick up where she left off and is already getting comments from the peanut gallery.
What qualifies as a sport anyway? Allen is up for the debate.
Kellie is freaked out about the upcoming Planet of the Apes movie, and the conversation takes a strange turn that leads down a path that includes Anna Nicole Smith, Kellie’s eccentric Aunt Lacy and Allen making up a joke on the spot.
Kellie will be appearing on FOX 4’s Last Call with Steve Noviello, Saturday, May 11, at 10pm Central, and Sunday, May 12, at 10:30pm Central.
And don’t forget this Sunday, May 12, is Mother’s Day! This weekend, Kellie and Allen will celebrate with their moms, while also supporting Operation Once in a Lifetime’s annual Rock for the Troops. This year’s event will be Saturday, May 11, at Armor Brewing Co. in Allen, Texas. Visit Operation Once in a Lifetime’s Facebook page for more information.
And keep checking the A Sandwich and Some Lovin’ YouTube page to watch videos of this podcast. Allen will be posting a new landscaping video very soon.

527: A Sandwich and Some Fall Guy May 02, 2024

Show notes

Kellie and Allen were lucky enough to go to an early screening of the new Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt move “The Fall Guy.” You’ll hear their honest review, but zero spoilers! We promise!
Allen found a list of over-used sayings and wonders if they bother Kellie — or anyone! — as much as they do him.
There are two things Kellie doesn’t excel at — cooking and sports. She took a swing at both and one was way more successful than the other. That led to a deep, dark walk down memory lane and some unexpected self-reflection.
Coming up on May 11, 2024, is Operation Once in a Lifetime’s annual Rock the Troops event, this year at Armor Brewing Co. in Allen, Texas. This is an organization very close to Kellie and Allen’s hearts and they attend every year. To find out all the details and learn about some of the incredible raffle prizes, visit Operation Once in a Lifetime’s Facebook page. This year’s proceeds will pay for a group of 50 veterans to visit Arlington National Cemetery.

526: A Sandwich and Some Knittin’ Circle Apr 25, 2024

Show notes

Please forgive Kellie for being a little slap-happy/punch-drunk, but she had quite a day! Kellie was honored to be a guest at a live taping of the Inside the Moms Club Podcast, where she was honored to receive a very prestigious award. Do you want to know why Allen REALLY married Kellie? There are actually a few reasons, but none of them are what you think. Allen was so intrigued by a knitting circle sitting at Starbucks that he eavesdropped on their conversation and shares what he overheard. And Allen promised to talk about it about 3 podcasts ago, but he finally tells the story about taking the boys to try a new McDonald’s concept called CosMc’s and gives their honest reviews.
And don’t forget to subscribe to YouTube.com/asandwichandsomelovin because Allen’s taking Kellie for her first golf lesson of 2024 and he’s going to film and eventually get around to editing and posting it.
