The A+ Parents podcast, Hosted by “Mr. D Math Live” Founder Dennis DiNoia, speaks with parents, homeschool organizations, and homeschool influencers on how to help our students become self-directed learners.

Our programs encourage students to discover how to learn vs what to learn and how to teach others what they are learning along the way. Mr. D Math Live programs empower students to correct their work, discover their own ah-ha moments and develop lifelong self-mastery skills.

We share tips, tricks and stories from educators on how students can think for themselves by teaching them to operate with free will, accountability, honor, and respect.

Our unique approach awakens students to discover their own unique expression of how they view education. They communicate what they’ve discovered and apply their knowledge to “the world outside of a classroom.” We focus on multiple learning styles allowing students to discover their own strengths in how they learn.

After all, what does every parent truly want? We all want our children to have a great life beyond what their report card says. That is what it means to be an A+ Parent. Grades are important. But not as important as the lifetime of happiness through self-discovery and knowledge mastery.

Ask a homeschool parent to list their biggest obstacles, and “teaching math” will probably appear close to the top of that list. In response to this concern, Nicole Thomas created Nicole the Math Lady – on-demand video lessons for Saxon Math students that make math approachable and enjoyable for kids and parents. Under Nicole’s direction, what began as a website serving a few dozen students has grown to serve over tens of thousands of students each day. Nicole the Math Lady inspires families and students to see when learning is joyful, there are no limits to what a child can learn. Nicole holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Psychology from Stanford University and resides in Orlando, Florida with her husband, Don and her two children, Sydney and Justin.

Author, Entrepreneur, & Author | Jonathan Fanning Dec 07, 2022

Jonathan Fanning is the author of several books, including Who are you BECOMING? and I Once Was Lost. He has been coaching leaders – from Fortune 500 executives to sole proprietors – for almost 20 years. If you are familiar with TED talks, Jonathan was voted the best speaker at a recent TED conference. A traumatic car accident and several other “Frying Pan” moments in the middle of Fanning’s career as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies triggered a quest for a deeper sense of purpose, meaning, and significance. “Who are you BECOMING?” and “Who are you helping the people around you to BECOME?” became central to Jonathan’s life, writing, and speaking.

He has also built several successful businesses, including a national children’s fitness franchise and Entrepreneur Adventure, which helps young people experience business start-up and ownership. He has inspired and challenged audiences with his message in 49 states and on 3 continents. Jonathan lives in NY with his amazing wife and two angelic daughters!

Living an Integrated Life - Parenting and Entrepreneurship | Laura Mansfield Nov 28, 2022

Laura Mansfield has over 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur, executive leader, contractor and business owner. Laura has built, sold or spun off five companies. Her first company began at the age of 19. She was a documentary film producer for 12 years, a podcaster for "Parenting Unplugged" with her husband Todd for 8 years, a nonprofit Executive Director, and a Board Member and strategy consultant for public and private companies. Referred to as "the pioneer of podcasting" as a guest on NPR, many of Laura's companies have been featured in Forbes and Entrepreneur Magazine. She was also formally, Portland Business Journals 40 under 40, a nominee for the Orchid award and named one of the entrepreneurs of the year for the Denver Post. As a visionary and culture catalyst Laura has observed again and again the importance of building a strong, safe, resilient and inclusive culture. In the last two decades Laura has dedicated majority of her time supporting leaders to be better, as a real estate investor and her favorite job of all, a mother, to son's Connor and Drew (ages 15 and 18). Laura and her partner Todd have been married for 24 years. In their spare time, the Mansfield clan enjoys skiing, hiking, and pretty much anything to do with being outdoors. Laura has meditated religiously for the past 25 years, is a strong advocate for the heath and wellness space and enjoys being a constant student to yoga.
