The A+ Parents podcast, Hosted by “Mr. D Math Live” Founder Dennis DiNoia, speaks with parents, homeschool organizations, and homeschool influencers on how to help our students become self-directed learners.

Our programs encourage students to discover how to learn vs what to learn and how to teach others what they are learning along the way. Mr. D Math Live programs empower students to correct their work, discover their own ah-ha moments and develop lifelong self-mastery skills.

We share tips, tricks and stories from educators on how students can think for themselves by teaching them to operate with free will, accountability, honor, and respect.

Our unique approach awakens students to discover their own unique expression of how they view education. They communicate what they’ve discovered and apply their knowledge to “the world outside of a classroom.” We focus on multiple learning styles allowing students to discover their own strengths in how they learn.

After all, what does every parent truly want? We all want our children to have a great life beyond what their report card says. That is what it means to be an A+ Parent. Grades are important. But not as important as the lifetime of happiness through self-discovery and knowledge mastery.

Teaching Kids To Be Independent Learners | Erica Orosco Cruz Aug 03, 2022

Erica Orosco Cruz is an early childhood development expert and parent coach who helps children, families, and teachers thrive and grow together on the foundation of mutual respect. She is certified through RIE (Resources for Infant Educarers) and the state of California and is also trained in the Waldorf methods.

Erica’s passion for supporting families stems from her own experience as a mother of 4 boys (ranging in ages from 1 to 25!), and a daughter who set out to parent in a different way than she was as a child. While raising her children, she searched to find a program that brought children to the forefront while also providing clear boundaries for mutual respect; a program where children would be seen and heard and where adults would see with new eyes and listen for what was unsaid. When she realized what she was looking for didn’t exist, she founded Homeschool Garden, a now two-decade-old early childhood development center in Los Angeles.

The Benefits Of Homeschooling From A College Student's Perspective | McKenna Hazel Jul 19, 2022

McKenna Hazel is currently a junior at Flagler College pursuing a degree in Philosophy and Religion, with a minor in Psychology. She was homeschooled from second grade all the way through high school. She has always enjoyed school, and homeschooling enabled her to study what she was passionate about and pursue other interests such as music. McKenna has served on the worship team and in youth ministry at church since she was eleven. Her dream is to obtain her PHD and become a college professor. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to the beach, hiking, exploring new cities, and reading.

Mrs. C: From homeschooling mom to co-op principal to Mr. D Math instructor Jul 07, 2022

Candi Schultz is from southern California and has been living in Florida since 2014 with her husband, their three children, and their gigantic Golden Doodle. Beyond a love for mathematics, Candi enjoys singing, dancing, and acting. She has done all three professionally and she is blessed to sing in her church choir and act in skits.

Candi has homeschooled since her firstborn was in kindergarten. Currently, Candi facilitates Mr. D Math Algebra, Geometry, and Algebra II at Lighthouse Christian Homeschool Academy in Tarpon Springs, Florida. She also leads online help sessions every week.
