The A+ Parents podcast, Hosted by “Mr. D Math Live” Founder Dennis DiNoia, speaks with parents, homeschool organizations, and homeschool influencers on how to help our students become self-directed learners.

Our programs encourage students to discover how to learn vs what to learn and how to teach others what they are learning along the way. Mr. D Math Live programs empower students to correct their work, discover their own ah-ha moments and develop lifelong self-mastery skills.

We share tips, tricks and stories from educators on how students can think for themselves by teaching them to operate with free will, accountability, honor, and respect.

Our unique approach awakens students to discover their own unique expression of how they view education. They communicate what they’ve discovered and apply their knowledge to “the world outside of a classroom.” We focus on multiple learning styles allowing students to discover their own strengths in how they learn.

After all, what does every parent truly want? We all want our children to have a great life beyond what their report card says. That is what it means to be an A+ Parent. Grades are important. But not as important as the lifetime of happiness through self-discovery and knowledge mastery.

Homeschool, Travel, And Learn Using The World As Your Classroom | Shannan Swindler Apr 06, 2023

Shannan Swindler has started home education co-ops, and conferences. She also creates curricula and teaches online about World Geography and Life Skills. She is passionate about helping families use the world as their classroom to homeschool, travel and learn together.

Shannan’s motto is “Have Passport. Will Travel”. She can pack a travel itinerary (and a lesson plan) the same way she packs her carry-on. Tight, exciting, and on budget. Her first trip to Europe was in 1995. She thought it was going to be one of those “once-in-a-lifetime” adventures. Little did she know, they were just re-orienting their compass and charting a whole new course. Now, after a number of trips to Europe, she lives in Scotland with her favorite travel buddy and 2 travel apprentices.

Shannan loves dark chocolate, freshly roasted coffee, red wine, thoughtful conversation, captivating itineraries, and of course, stamps in her passport. When she’s not organizing a daytrip or her next week’s science or art lesson, you can find her walking a quiet, local path foraging for berries, herbs, and mushrooms while the kids meander, explore, and ask inquisitive questions (these often lead to her next week’s science and art lessons!).

Leading Well Through The Seasons Of Homeschooling Your Life | Emily Copeland Apr 01, 2023

Emily Copeland is married and has two kids, a 16-year-old son and an 11-year-old daughter, whom she has always homeschooled. Emily comes from a ministry background and recently moved to Delaware from coastal North Carolina, so her husband could step into a pastoral role. Emily loves sharing tips, ideas, and resources to help others lead well while educating her children at her website, TableLifeBlog.com. She is working toward her BA in Communication Studies, focusing on Rhetoric and Public Culture (minoring in Theology). She loves homeschooling and is grateful for all that it gives her family, but is also excited to be in those more independent years so that she can think of what life after homeschooling may look like. Emily loves reading, visiting museums, and exploring her new area when she has some downtime.

Mr. D Math: Helping A Young Athlete Train For The Olympics | Aria Easter Feb 22, 2023

Aria Easter is 14 years old and currently training to compete in the 2028 LA Olympics. She was born in Los Angeles and has been swimming since she was 3 months old. Emmy Sobieski, CFA, the author of $100M Careers, is currently COO and co-founder of Competitive Storytelling, Inc. both of which help founders with world-class ideas share their stories to change the world.

Emmy previously co-managed the #1 ranked Nicholas | Applegate Global Technology Fund in 1999, up over 495%. Emmy’s institutional investing experience includes 25 years working for investment firms representing diverse strategies. Emmy has founded, co-founded, and advised multiple startups.

She is a manager and co-founder of GMR (developer of utility-grade Solar, Battery, and Wind farms), former co-founder, executive, and advisor to multiple funds and startups. Emmy is a regular panelist and keynote speaker on Web3, Privacy, Payments, ESG, and AI.

Emmy has mentored multiple students from diverse backgrounds in college to millions in net worth before the age of 30. Her book $100M Careers aims to scale this mentorship to any motivated young person interested in finance and startups. Emmy is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and has a USC MBA and a BA in Economics from UCSD.
