    055: 3 Big Lessons I've Learned in 2022 & How They Can Help You Dec 19, 2022
    Show notes

2022 has been such a big year for me! I started A Healthy Push podcast. I began coaching. I taught two rounds of my Panic to Peace program and supported 43 amazing students. I supported 100 students in my Overcoming Driving Anxiety course and added live Q&A’s to this program for additional support. I left my corporate job after working in healthcare for over 15 years! And I launched an amazing masterclass.

This year has been full of some really hard and challenging moments, but also many really rewarding and fulfilling moments. I want to share the lessons that I’ve learned with you because I know that these things will also give you some helpful insights, takeaways, and help to make your recovery less hard.

054: Stepy Goes From Housebound to LIVING and Thriving Dec 12, 2022
    Show notes

Stepy struggled with panic disorder and agoraphobia for 15 years. And just a year ago, she was pretty convinced that she would be stuck living in her childhood bedroom for the rest of her life. Fast forward to today... (big spoiler alert), she moved out of her childhood home, drove over 6 hours back to her true home in Los Angeles, and has been living her life and showing herself just how capable she has always been.

I met Stepy back in April of 2022 and did some coaching with her, and I have been blown away by not only the amazing human being she is, but by the amazing work that she's done over the past several months. Her story is truly a testament to the fact that recovery from panic disorder and agoraphobia IS absolutely possible! And I can't wait for you to hear her amazing story for yourself.

053: Intrusive Thoughts and What to Do About Them With Lily Sais Dec 05, 2022
    Show notes

Let's be real, intrusive thoughts can be so ICK! They can lead you down paths of...

Whoa... Would I do that? What does this mean? What is wrong with me? I can't be thinking this! I'm so crazy. "Normal" people don't have these thoughts.

And it's not just the thoughts, but it's also the uncomfortable sensations, symptoms, and feelings that they sometimes carry with them.

But I truly believe that when you understand more about your human brain and your response to the thoughts, it really helps to take some of the ick out of them. Because the truth is, we all have intrusive thoughts, because we are human and our brains love to go to some weird places sometimes!

If you're struggling with intrusive thoughts, this episode will be incredibly helpful to you.

In this episode, we dive into:

    - What intrusive thoughts are

    - Why our brains sometimes get so caught up in trying to do something about these thoughts

    - How these thoughts don't actually hold any meaning about you or what could/will happen to you

    - Not having an opinion about your thoughts

    - How the thoughts can cause some really real feelings and symptoms

    - Helpful insights and tips for finding freedom from intrusive thoughts

052: Can You Actually Recover From Anxiety, Panic Disorder, & Agoraphobia, and What Does Being Recovered Mean? Nov 28, 2022
    Show notes

Sooo, is it actually possible to recover from anxiety, panic disorder, and agoraphobia? Like for good? Well of course my short and sweet answer is... Yes, absolutely! But I created this episode because I know all too well how easy it is to question this idea and get sucked into the belief that it's not possible to recover.

In this episode, I help answer some of your questions, address your doubts, and address some of the messages out there that just aren’t helpful or true about recovery. I hope you walk away from this episode feeling much more clear (and hopeful) on why recovery IS absolutely possible, and what being recovered actually means!

051: Shyness, Social Anxiety, and Showing Up Scared With Sadie Hall Nov 21, 2022
    Show notes

One of the toughest things about social anxiety is that it's often not talked about, especially by the people who are struggling with it. Struggling with social anxiety can be a really tough and a really isolating journey. And when you add the layers of intense fear, judgment, and shame that often accompanies social anxiety, it can make it really hard to do even everyday things.

Sadie Hall has lots of experience with social anxiety, and she joins me on the podcast to chat about her journey with social anxiety and what she's learned along her recovery journey. And I absolutely love Sadie's approach because she shares openly and honestly what it's like to live with social anxiety, while encouraging and celebrating others for having the courage to show up scared.

Whether you consider yourself shy, introverted, socially anxious, socially awkward, or your own special mix of some or all of the above, you will find this episode to be helpful!

In this episode, we dive into:

    - What social anxiety has looked like for Sadie

    - The underlying fears that exist with social anxiety & what's at the core of these fears

    - How social anxiety doesn't just exist at big social events

    - Judgment and shame

    - The similarities between social anxiety and panic disorder and agoraphobia

    - Shyness versus social anxiety (what's just me versus what's social anxiety)

    - What Sadie has learned along her road to recovery that's been helpful to her

049: 4 Unpopular Opinions - Anxiety, Panic Disorder, and Agoraphobia Edition! Nov 14, 2022
    Show notes

I think there are a lot of opinions and pieces of advice out there that actually hinders people's recovery. And I think that if you take these opinions and pieces of advice in and you make them your beliefs, well, it’ll make it extremely hard for you to overcome anxiety, panic disorder, and agoraphobia!

So in this episode I’m sharing 4 unpopular opinions that I have that will probably make you rethink how you may be approaching your recovery, and I hope they do. And undoubtedly, you may disagree with some of these and that’s absolutely okay. But I feel like I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t share these with you.
