    A Frayed Knot

A Frayed Knot is the podcast of Jill McCormick and Robin Wall. Our stories matter and make us who we are. Every other week our guests share stories that matter, the stories that make us who we are. Even though our stories have knots, we are not afraid. Our stories are frayed. They’re not perfect. We believe the truth of our mess makes us stronger. We hope that God uses these stories to encourage and strengthen your faith as you trust in Him.

EP 026, Tracy Rader, A Frayed Knot Oct 25, 2019
    Show notes

What if you do the best job you can in parenting, follow the best advice available, read the right books, have the best of intentions, and still, the outcome for your child is not what you planned for him? Parenting is hard. Our kids have their own free will. We can do everything we're "supposed" to do and it may not go exactly as we planned. Tracy Rader will share how God walked her through some hard times and taught her some difficult things through parenting. Psalm 139:5 says that the Lord hems us in and goes before and behind us. We are to parent to the glory of God. Period. No "ands" to follow... just do it to the glory of God. You'll also get to hear the perspective of Cheryl's daughter, Madison, and what this journey felt like on her end. Cheryl brings joy and laughter into any room she walks into, and she is a light of Jesus' love to all who know her. You'll love her fun-loving spirit, and you'll connect with her vulnerability as she opens up with authenticity and shares truths she and her family have learned.
