Sarah has a background in counseling, loves teaching children the Bible, and Is passionate about helping people around the world know Jesus. Sarah is an author, blogger, and podcast host sharing the love of Jesus to do just that! She started “Heart Work Tees” as a way to encourage other women that their service matters to God and to make a global impact by using the profits to support Bible translation. The profits from “Heart Work Tees” support ladies in South Asia and Ethiopia that are learning to share the Bible in their native languages and then they go back to their local communities and spread hope by telling the Bible stories to all who will listen. Her family has had the privilege to support one of the most dangerous Bible translation projects in Asia, and that is a continual reminder of God's faithfulness. Every update they receive reminds them to get on their knees in prayer for the suffering and persecution that their translation friends are experiencing daily. Sarah Tells us more about the incredible opportunities they have had supporting the Zapotec del istmo project in Mexico. We speak about her life from childhood to the present allowing us to see the golden thread of Jesus working even in times when Sarah may not have seen Him. That’s the amazing thing about telling your story, your own story can be an unimaginable encouragement not just to others, but to you! Season 3 - Episode 10 - Finding Gratitude Serving Together Mar 14, 2022

This week, I speak with the Dandelion Sisters, four of six sisters born in eastern states, who made their way west to Wyoming after their parents divorced. Having grown up with faith, singing, and performing together, music became the glue that kept them close through a difficult time. Singing and performing songs that resonated a hopeful message soon provided a sense of purpose woven throughout their own pain. Today, they are grown with families all still residing in Wyoming. Through the years, each sister has continued the work of healing and honed in on her unique gift. Last June, they reignited a message of hope with their blog, Dandelion, Potholes, & Wrinkles that they write together. The strong desire to share a message of unrelenting hope through struggle is how their blog was born. Dandelions represent bringing their childhood back to its playful innocence while remaining resilient through life’s storms. Potholes represent all those obstacles they plowed through as kids, and continue to navigate with the healing power of Christ. Wrinkles represent the growth and wisdom that has come with time and healing. You won’t want to miss this down-to-earth conversation which is rich with the insight of four unique perspectives. You will be inspired!

    Season 2 - Episode 11 - Finding Gratitude in the NICU Sep 27, 2021

September is NICU awareness month which makes a commitment to inspire hope and to honor families experiencing a stay in the neonatal intensive care unit and the health professionals who care for them. In line with this effort this week I am sharing Sarah Ward’s incredible story! Sarah has three children all of whom had a stay in the NICU. Her first birth of her twins found her being rushed to the hospital only two days after her baby shower. Her girls were whisked away from the operating room without her ever getting to hold them, or worse yet even see them - Heartbroken and confused by the realities of their situation the Wards plodded through until the girls were able to come home. When their son was born he was 37 weeks Sarah had high hopes of a more typical birth experience. She was able to hold her baby after giving birth to him and all seemed well until they took him for some tests and never brought him back. The trauma and disappointment came yet again and Sarah and her husband did their very best to make it through - Having survived all this, they wanted to give back somehow to the amazing NICU community and organizations that help NICU families, so they wrote a children’s book which we will tell you all about in the episode. The thing I find so beautiful about that is that when their girls had their stay Sarah’s husband loaded his arms with books from home and spent the days reading to the girls as a way to bond with them when they weren’t yet able to hold them. He also encouraged her to take a poem that she had written the girls as their birth story and turn it into a children’s book to bring hope to others going through what they had endured. You will be inspired by this raw honest conversation about their experiences!

    Season 2 - Episode 9 - Finding Gratitude During a Sacrificial Season Sep 13, 2021

This week I speak with Mary. Mary is a wife, a mom, a grandmother, but there was a time when she wrote books and spoke on stages sharing her deep struggles with Anorexia and her victory through Christ to become a personal trainer who experienced the gift to not only keep her body healthy but to help others to do the same. As life went on she had to work a regular job at Wawa to help support her family. Stuck in what she calls a “sacrificial season” for much longer than she imagined, she has laid down her dreams in order to follow God’s leading even though she doesn’t understand why he has her where he does. Can you relate? Have you ever been doing exactly what you felt you were on this earth to do and then suddenly everything changed? Are you waiting for another turn to step into what you have been dreaming of? But what if God were using Mary to do something unimaginably more than what she could do writing books and speaking at conferences? Hannah Schaefer is a compelling Contemporary Christian Music artist. She is a passionate speaker & a multi-international award-winning singer/songwriter who has opened for Christian artists such as Matt Maher, Matthew West, Fr. Rob Galea, Mac Powell, Building 429, and more touring internationally and playing over 500 shows across the United States. Our discussion is down to earth and honest as she delves into childhood bullying, family Challenges amid difficult diagnosis, and moments of deep personal struggle, but through it all Hannah was always writing lyrics to the One who was her constant, to a God so personal and real that as a child she wrote sticky notes to Jesus and let them go into the wind trusting they would find Him. Season 2 - Episode 1 - Finding Gratitude in the Ripples of Revival Jul 19, 2021

This week I speak with Nalini. She shares her story because she believes everyone is born with dreams for the future then reality strikes its hurdles and before you know it, the dream is a distant childhood fantasy, not suitable for adults. You have to go on a journey of self-discovery that leads to molding and shaping like you never expected to then come out years later still holding on to the very same dream, only this time, you’re ready for it. But this will only happen if you don’t allow the hurdles to sabotage the dream. She stands alongside the dreamers, the visionaries, the ones who cling on to a hope that this season will pass, and if I simply endure, stand firm, I will see my dream come to fruition. Nalini was the holder of dormant dreams and as a result, lived with a silent ache for way too long. What She didn’t realize was, that by shoving her dreams and desires into the back of the wardrobe, by writing herself off, disqualifying, and self-sabotaging herself, She was quietly dying on the inside. Sound familiar? She was becoming a lesser version of herself and in doing so, was unable to give the best to her loved ones. The ripple effect is far-reaching and doesn’t stop with you. We have way too much to give to allow lies and hurdles to rob us of who we really are! You don’t want to miss this story of self-reflection, perseverance, and hope!

Episode 12 - Finding Gratitude in the Valley of the Dry Bones Apr 12, 2021

I spend so much time sharing other people’s stories that I thought I’d share some of my own. Episode 12 is a solo episode celebrating my 20 years of being born again. I share with you candidly from one of my books “Crumbled A Place for Broken People”. I talk honestly about the skeletons in my closet as I begin to realize that they are actually a valley of dry bones in my heart. I discover that they are the things I thought were not only dead but so far gone that they were beyond God’s ability to revive them. Hang on as I also share about my own personal experience of accepting Christ 20 years ago as a grown woman who prior to that moment thought that church was just a facade, the Bible was fiction, and Jesus wasn’t any more than a historical figure. I wasn’t at church when I met Him, it was during an everyday moment in my own home. I am opening the door to let you into my heart, to usher you behind the curtain we all hang, and beneath the mask, we all wear, to meet the real me and tell a bit of my own story. **And, for a limited time, this book is being offered at 40% off on Amazon books for all of you so go get a copy!
