EP 37 - The Assassin & the Tiny Whore (Assassins Blade) Oct 05, 2022

Show notes

We jump straight back to Erilea with this weeks episode covering The Assassins Blade by Sarah J Maas.

From the the unusual description of chickens, to the references to sh*ting seamen and coping with trauma by using interpretive dance - we hope you enjoy this dive into the back story of Celaena.

We also finally find out the full details of everything Sam Cortland and decide that we are not afraid to be traumatised by SJM again.

EP 36 - The Kachow King (The Never King) Sep 28, 2022

Show notes

EPISODE 36

Your hosts Briony, Georgia and Ellie are back with break from our Throne of Glass coverage with a smut buster and a special guest, Tayla @taysreads!

The girls embark on a dirty retelling of Peter Pan - The Never King by Nikki St. Crowe. Yes you did read that right. Peter Pan. With his Lost Boys in search of some lost pussay.

There’s uncomfortable brotherly bonding, surprising references to our late monarch as well as Briony’s uncanny likeness to another childhood character, Lightning McQueen.

There are no fan art references this week - for obvious reasons you sickos.

Briony continues her plight for the gay romance we all want and need between Dorian and Chaol, we somehow get a high school musical reference and in the meantime we discuss Celeana’s transformation into Aelin and all the glory of her trauma journey.

Show notes

We’re back with part two of our Throne of Glass coverage!

Show notes

This week we’re back after our short break and we’re covering this heartfelt romcom by Sarah Thorne, The Hating Game.

We follow Lucy & Josh’s love/hate relationship throughout their jobs at Gamin & Bexley and question if the “games” played between the two are real, or if they are simply a fragment of Lucy’s bat-shit crazy brain.

Yes, there’s mentions of Smurf’s and there’s also mentions of…. Henry Cavill’s chin dimple…..? Look, what do you expect at this point?

EP 28 - The Song of Patrick Lewis (The Song of Achilles) Jul 20, 2022

Show notes

Well we hope you’re ready to feel all the feelings while we unpack the beautiful tale of Achilles. Hosts Georgia, Briony and Ellie tried to maintain a semblance of respect and seriousness when discussing this literary goodness, but alas fell into the trap of dark humor and weirdly out place smut jokes. At this point, who is surprised?

If you like greek mythology, queer romance, tragedy, war and a man horse; this book is for you.
