EP 56 - The Horny Cinderella (The Dare) Mar 29, 2023

Show notes

Welcome to our first Dark Romance novella! That’s right, we’re discussing the ins and outs of squirting, knife play, penis piercings while we cover The Dare by Harley Laroux! Your hosts get up close and personal with spread labias, consuming semen and getting flemmy, your hooha being used as a wax melt, being filled like a gas tank, coughing up ‘children’ and somehow still manage to mention Jesus in Mary’s womb… questions are asked and answers are rarely given. Tune in Wednesday at 7pm (ACDT). Music reference: - Freak on a Leash by Korn Fanart: - @puhnatsson (our MMCs)

EP 55 - Blow-Job-Visor-Breaker (Icebreaker) Mar 22, 2023

Show notes

Oh baby - this week we are ready to be exclusive with Icebreaker by Hannah Grace.

We’ve got Ellie awkwardly reading you hardcore smut, a weirdly timed reference to Georgia’s Yr 12 Drama class and Briony is trying to give you your 13th reason with non-stop references to the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Winter Games. You’re welcome.

Of course it wouldn’t be an episode of A Book and A Bev without your cohosts trying to become sister wives for Henry Cavill but we are sure you expected nothing less.

There’s discussion of world leaders, lizard people, double pronged appendages and an instructional “how not to guide” for those needing guidance with the female anatomy.

Listen along with the girls as they fall in love with the giant, blue, ribbed alien and the fluffiest of romance tails…

If you want a music reference just listen to the Avatar soundtrack.

EP 51 - Kingdom of the Yin Yang Twins (Kingdom of the Feared) Feb 22, 2023

Show notes

Welcome to one of our most diabolical episodes yet. We are finishing up the series with Kingdom of the Feared by Kerri Maniscalco. Are we happy about it? No. Did we still do the episode? Yes. You are welcome.

There are versions of floorboards, high school musical, a questionable amount of tight penetration and a girl in who 20’s having the misplaced confidence of a middle aged white man.

If that doesn’t make any sense well just wait until you read the book. As they say, as above so below.

EP 50 - It Starts With the Dribbling Ta Ta’s (It Starts With Us) Feb 15, 2023

Show notes

Welcome back!!!

We’re so grateful to all of our listeners and to say our thanks, we’re back with a NEW SEASON OF A BOOK AND A BEV!! And what a better way to start off than with the heart breaker herself, Colleen Hoover.

That’s right, very fittingly, we’re covering It Starts With Us. We’re treating Ellie like the dirty street rat she is by forcing all the feelings down her throat. We discussing Lily & Atlas finally getting their time, squirting out children, then drowning them in breastmilk & Henry Cavill being shirtless… again.

There’s also an unfortunate mention of a book that discusses having coitus with someone’s eye socket and a metal rod being used to do inappropriate things. You’re welcome!

EP 47 - Kingdom of the Tiny Snow Whore (Kingdom Of Ash Part 2) Dec 21, 2022

Show notes

Well we really wish we could tell you that we pulled it together for this episode but in unsurprising news...we did not.

Its part two of Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J Maas.

We have references to Queen Elsa aka King Dorian, a shout out to the only female prime minister in Australian history, Aelin living her best life on a flamingo floatie and an honourable mention to the tent that is Yrene's flaps. We know. None of that makes sense. Anyways tune in next week for part 3.
