Come back to me, I'll be home soon, I miss seeing your shadow in the room. It used to keep me in a good mood, but now I feel blue. You were my muse, like the guy with the flute. I wrote about my new boots; they're so comfortable and cute. I'm going to read a book until it's time to cook, then I'll watch TV until I'm pooped. Maybe you'll return in the dawn. Winter days are short, but the nights are long. Thank you for reading my mini-impromptu poem. xoxo

The finale of “Rhyming about God.” Jesus said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” I feel like that some days, but I’m reminded of the song titled, Trouble don’t last always. Venting, confessing and repenting is what I create into poetry, and this is one of my latest experiences.

Part 4 of "Rhyming about God." The world was formless and empty, but God spoke it into existence. How powerful is El Elyon; how vast and wide is our Triune God. The Father is Love, compassionate, long suffering, merciful and immeasurably more. I've captured my affinity for The Trinity in this balladry.

Stand by Me - Poem about The Holy Spirit Sep 16, 2022
    Show notes

Part 3 of "Rhyming about God." Also known as Creator, Counselor, Comforter, Indweller, Helper, Guide, Intercessor, Witness, Spirit of truth and life and of course a Friend. (Just some tidbits.) Most treat Him as if He doesn't exist and is often referenced as "it." Frequently left out of history, so I wanted to share my love for the Paraclete.

Hang 'Em High - Poem about Jesus Christ Sep 09, 2022

Part 2 of "Rhyming about God." Jesus died so all might live. He's alive, sits on the throne, His Spirit lives in me, He's the Prince of Peace and so much more, unlike Mufasa. So, I've shared my love and appreciation for my Brother.

This month is titled, "Rhyming about God." I'm sharing four poems from my book, The Colors of September: No Filter, and one I've recently created. Love is the theme of this piece. God's love for us is unique and greater than any human being, so I've expressed sincerest love for my King.
