Out Feb. 18th, on Yoko Ono’s 89th birthday, Ocean Child: Songs of Yoko Ono (The Podcast) accompanies the compilation tribute album of the same name. Imagined and curated by Death Cab for Cutie’s Benjamin Gibbard, the LP includes new performances of some of Ono’s finest songs by an awesome array of artists including David Byrne, Japanese Breakfast, The Flaming Lips, Thao, Deerhoof, Sharon Van Etten, Jay Som, Yo La Tengo, and more. The podcast, hosted by Gibbard and journalist Jenny Eliscu, features interviews with contributors about their own meaningful connections with Ono’s music and art.
