The Creative Nonprofit

Creating content is one of the most empowering things an organization can do to build community, change perceptions, educate, share a mission, and drive action. But many nonprofits haven’t been able seriously leverage this strategy, and business have. Don't get left behind. To keep relevant in today’s world and build awareness for your nonprofit or charity, you need to master the art of creating content that engages and builds trust and relationships. Hosted by Joel Harrison, founder of Methodic Content, this podcast will show you how to get creative, and also strategic with your content and communications. We get right down to tactical steps by covering topics like nonprofit blogging, email and newsletters that make an impact, audio and video content production, and social media communities and distribution. By looking at examples from the best of the best we can see how they’ve done it and seen success by mixing different strategies together, planning, and executing on them. It doesn’t matter where you’re at with your nonprofit - just getting started or have a large team - or if you’re a new or experienced marketer, these strategies will help take you to the next level. Christian Nonprofit CFO

Financial leaders in ministries are often ill-equipped to address, let alone overcome, the many challenges they face. Too often they pivot from crisis to crisis, running on a tactical treadmill instead of proactively contributing strategic value to their nonprofits. Unfortunately, the full impact of their ministries suffer. It is time for this to change. Now. Paul says in Ephesians 4:12 that God gave leaders “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” God wants to equip us so that we might significantly impact others. This is what this podcast is designed to do. While there are many firms with their corresponding podcasts that provide technical insight on audit, tax, and legal matters, there are few that provide insight on how to lead on a day-to-day basis to reach your nonprofit’s goals. This is what we are going to accomplish at Christian Nonprofit CFO. Come join me on this journey! Explore with me how we can best serve at our m Read More

Is there Really Truth and Justice for All?

How often is an innocent person found guilty of a crime they did not commit? If you had asked me this question in 2005, I would have said, not many, only because I was uneducated. Now after specializing as a Criminal Defense Investigator for the past decade my response is a complete 360. Not because the accused are my clients, but because I am now more educated and have firsthand knowledge and experience with freeing the innocent after being wrongly accused. There are many wrongful arrests and convictions in the United States. How can we fix this? Understanding that our current judicial system is not “truth and Justice for All” and that everyone needs to be aware, this widespread problem in our country does not discriminate against race, religion, sex, nationality. Anyone can become a victim to the judicial system and incompetent investigations by law enforcement. Read More
