Prayer A Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: Peace In Proximity | September 13, 2026 Sep 13, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass What if peace isn’t something you chase, but something you experience by staying close to Jesus? Jesus didn’t just tell us what to believe. He showed us, on repeat, how to live. He knew and lived Scripture, made disciples, gathered with God’s people, lived on mission, and prayed. He withdrew to pray, found margin to pray, and prayed often. TEXT: Philippians 4:9, Philippians 4:11, 1 Corinthians 11:1, Luke 6:12, Mark 1:35, Luke 5:16, Romans 3:20, Romans 3:23 BIG IDEA: When Jesus is near, peace is in proximity. NOTES: WHAT DID JESUS MODEL? * He knew and lived Scripture. * He made disciples. * He gathered often. * He lived on mission. * He prayed. PRAY LIKE JESUS- 1. Change Your Place // He Withdrew to Pray Jesus went to gardens, mountainsides, wilderness, and solitary places. 2. Find Your Time // He Prayed in the Margins Early mornings. Late nights. Before meals. Between ministry moments. 3. Build Your Rhythm // He Prayed Often Prayer wasn’t simply Jesus’ response to a crisis. It was a consistent practice of His life. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

    Prayer A Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: It's Moving Day! | September 06, 2026 Sep 06, 2026
    Show notes

In this message we are challenged to examine what has taken up residence in our minds—and to start filling that space with truth. Pastor Andy Cass TEXT: Philippians 4:8; Romans 4:8; 1 Corinthians 13:11; Philippians 3:13; Exodus 14:10–22; Psalm 119:105 BIG IDEA: Forward requires a new focus. NOTES: What gets your focus gets your thoughts. What gets your thoughts influences your direction. And your direction determines where you go. Your feet tend to follow your focus. THE PROBLEM- Our minds are cluttered. THE PLAN- Fill your mind with truth. You are blessed. You are forgiven. You are called to grow. You can remain humble. God is still leading you forward. Prayer- "It’s moving day. Fear, worry, anxiety, stress, the enemy, sin, and lies—you’ve lived here long enough. By the power of Jesus Christ and the unconditional love of our Heavenly Father: vacate the premises."

Prayer A Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: Person of Peace? | August 30, 2026 Aug 30, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass Are you a person of peace? We all want peace, but wanting peace and becoming a peaceful person are two different things. TEXT: Philippians 4:7, Galatians 5:22–23, Acts 7:54–60, Daniel 3:16–25, Hebrews 13:5, Luke 10:3–9, Matthew 5:38–45 NOTES: Pitstop #1 — The Peace of God // Peace is fruit. It isn’t something we manufacture or earn. It’s something the Holy Spirit produces within us. Pitstop #2 — Peace That Transcends Understanding // God’s peace isn’t limited to peaceful circumstances. Peace in prison. Peace in suffering. Peace in the fire. Peace in everyday pressure. Pitstop #3 — Peace Will Guard You // Where there is fruit, there is a tree. If you want peace, plant yourself where peace grows and stay there long enough for God to form you into a person of peace. THE PROBLEM- We all want peace, but we have not adopted the practices of a peaceful person. THE PLAN- Peace is a community garden project. PLANT yourself around people of peace. PRUNE what God reveals needs to change. PRODUCE + PROTECT what God is growing in you. BIG IDEA- Be grafted TODAY where you want to PRODUCE TOMORROW. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

    Prayer A Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: Anything & Everything | August 23, 2026 Aug 23, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass Worry has a way of taking your mind somewhere God never asked you to live. It pulls tomorrow’s trouble into today and leaves your body present while your mind is somewhere else. TEXT: Philippians 4:6, Acts 16:16–30, Matthew 6:25–34, 1 Peter 5:5–7 NOTES: The Problem- Worry has a way of taking your mind where God never asked you to live. Question- Is your pain driving you to prayer? The Problem With Worry * Worry is a horrible predictor of the future. * Worry manipulates you to believe you are not secure, safe, or loved. * Worry will never feed you. * Worry will never clothe you. * Worry will never add value. Three Big Areas of Worry * Provision — Will I have enough? * Physical Condition — Will I be okay? * Perception — What will people think of me? Thanksgiving Changes Us * Recognize what is already blessed. * Redirect your attention. * Rest in the goodness of God. * Reframe your outlook. Closing Practice Name your worry. Write it down. Cast it on the Lord. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

Prayer a Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: The Lord is Near | August 16, 2026 Aug 16, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Christy Cass What if prayer was never meant to be only crisis management, but daily relationship? In week two of rX: Prayer, we discover how the nearness of Jesus changes the way we carry stress, respond under pressure, and relate to the people around us. Gentleness isn’t something we manufacture. It is the visible fruit of a life lived near Jesus. TEXT: Philippians 4:4–9, Philippians 4:5, Matthew 11:29, Galatians 5:22–23 NOTES: The Lord Is Near * Prayer isn’t our last resort. It’s God’s invitation into His presence. * Prayer is how we practice remaining near. * Come to Him in crisis… and don’t leave when the crisis is over. * Healthy things stay healthy because they’re watered consistently, not because they’re rescued occasionally. BIG IDEA- The closer we live to Jesus, the more gentleness people experience from us. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

Prayer A Prescription for Stress and Anxiety: Rejoice | August 9, 2026 Aug 09, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass What if there were a biblical prescription for stress and anxiety? In this message, we begin with Paul’s surprising instruction from Philippians 4: “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Rejoicing does not deny what you are feeling or facing. It declares what is still true about God in the middle of it. Pressure can push us inward, but prayer and rejoicing redirect us toward God’s presence, where peace can replace panic, strength can replace exhaustion, worship can replace worry, and hope can replace despair. TEXT: Philippians 4:4–9, Isaiah 26:3, Luke 18:1–7, Matthew 2:10, Matthew 5:12, Luke 15:5, Luke 15:32, Matthew 28:9, Acts 5:41, Psalm 118:24, Psalm 55:17, Psalm 55:22 NOTES: The Biblical Prescription: Rejoice in the Lord always. Five Reasons to Rejoice Always: 1. Hope Realized 2. Heaven Is Home 3. You’re on Mission 4. In the Presence of God 5. In Suffering The Prescription- Pray, stay, and say it out loud: “Jesus, You are my joy.” Three times daily, find reasons to rejoice with the Lord, Morning, Noon and Night. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

Summer Sprint: The Time Between a God Dream | August 02, 2026 Aug 02, 2026
    Show notes

Have you ever felt like God gave you a dream, a calling, or a vision for your life… only to wonder why nothing seems to be happening? God doesn’t simply fulfill dreams—He forms people. Before He entrusts us with the calling, He develops our identity and character. Pastor Connor Grim TEXT: Habakkuk 2:3; 1 Samuel 16:11–13, 1 Samuel 17:38–40, 1 Samuel 24:4–6 NOTES: In obscurity, you are not being forgotten—you are being formed. Resistance reveals and develops character. Big Idea- The time between God’s promise and God’s fulfillment is not wasted. God uses seasons of obscurity and resistance to shape your identity and character so you are prepared for the dream He has placed in your heart. ⸻ Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching
