Building & Not Breaking: Lust Leads to Lose | May 10, 2026 May 10, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass Comparison slowly opens the door to lust, envy, and relational drift. What begins in the eyes eventually settles in the heart and, if left unchecked, can destroy what God has entrusted to you. In this message, we unpack how lust is more than sexual temptation. It’s a disordered desire for what God hasn’t given you. Jesus calls us beyond comparison, beyond consumption, and back into love that honors, protects, and builds. TEXT: Matthew 20:15; Exodus 20:17; Proverbs 6:23–25; Matthew 5:27–30; James 4:2; Song of Songs 2:3 NOTES: BIG IDEA- Lust never builds, it always breaks. RELATIONAL QUESTIONS * Are you content… or are you complaining? * Are you grateful… or are you grumbling? * Are you longing… or are you lusting? * Are you looking within… or are you longing for what is beyond yours? * Are you building… or are you breaking? -Lust isn’t just sexual… it’s a disordered desire for what God hasn’t given you. -Lust lives in the heart and it looks through your eyes. -Lust is a deep desire that, if entertained long enough, will eventually dictate your behavior. -Lust is window shopping… with a willingness to use a hammer when no one’s looking to get what you want. -Lust alwasy leads to lose -Lust is the opposite of love… it’s a distortion of God’s perfect design. "Lust is about consumption. Love is about communion. Lust is about taking. Love is about giving. Lust uses. Love honors. Lust diminishes the other. Love cherishes the other." -Rich Vallodas Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

    Building & Not Breaking: Relationship Musts | May 03, 2026 May 03, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy and Christy Cass You were not created for random connections or accidental relationships. You were formed, placed, and invited by God into relationships that carry purpose. In this message, we explore what it looks like to move from drifting in relationships to intentionally building them with God. The enemy distorts and divides, but God designs and restores. The question is simple: are you building your relationships with Him, or slowly letting them break? TEXT: Genesis 2:7-8,19–25; 3:1, 1 Corinthians 3:9, James 4:1, Proverbs 24:30–34, Hebrews 11:7 NOTES: M – Make the First Move U – Unrelenting Focus S – Speak Truth & Hear Truth T – Trust God First Stay Connected: Give: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/giving Online Service: Sundays 9 AM (YouTube & Facebook Live) Connect: https://theecho.churchcenter.com/people/forms/113001 Instagram: @wearetheechochurch #EchoChurch #ChristianSermon #FaithGrowth #BibleTeaching

Pastors Andy and Christy Cass We all build something with our lives whether we realize it or not. The question is, are we building with intention or drifting into dysfunction? In this message, we walk through Genesis 2–3 and uncover what it means to move from being a passive recipient to an active participant in your relationships, your purpose, and your faith. The enemy wants to distort what God designed, but you are invited back into partnership with the Creator. TEXT: Genesis 2–3; 1 Corinthians 3:9; James 4:1; Proverbs 24:30–34; Hebrews 11:7 “If now careful we drift from an Active Participant to a Passive Recipient.” “Drift is natural. Growth is intentional.” Become a Builder: -Build Yourself -Build Together. Life Abundant: Empty But Full | April 19, 2026 Apr 19, 2026
    Show notes

What if abundant life doesn’t look like more—but like trust? In this message, we explore the story of the widow in 1 Kings 17 and discover a powerful truth: God often reveals His faithfulness not when everything is full, but when it feels like we’re running on empty. When the flour is low, the oil is almost gone, and the future feels uncertain—God shows up. Abundant life isn’t about having everything you want. It’s about knowing, with confidence, that God is enough. Pastor Andy Cass TEXT: 1 Kings 17:8–16; Mark 12:41–44; Matthew 6:33 NOTES: -Abundant life, at its core, is a deep, unshakable assurance that God’s got you. -Abundance without dependence becomes boredom. -Abundant life isn’t filling your life with more…it’s making room to see God’s faithfulness -Abundant life isn’t the accumulation of stuff, it’s the accumulation of proof that God is trustworthy. Life Abundant: Man On the Mat and Jesus Risen | April 12, 2026 Apr 12, 2026
    Show notes

What are you measuring your life against? This Easter message takes us to John 5 and the story of a man stuck for 38 years beside a pool—waiting, comparing, and hoping for change. When Jesus steps in, He doesn’t just heal him… He asks a deeper question: “Do you want to get well?” From the pool to the mirror, this message challenges us to examine what we’ve been looking at, what we’ve been believing, and what’s been keeping us stuck. Jesus didn’t come to leave you where you are—He came to call you up, forward, and into life abundant. This is the story of Easter: Once dead, now living.Once stuck, now moving. Once defeated, now walking in victory. Pastor Andy Cass TEXT: John 5:2–9, John 10:10 Big Idea- A distorted mirror lets you stay the same. A true reflection invites you to be transformed. Questions: Do you want to get well? Do you actually want abundant life? How long are you going to sit where you’ve been stuck? What are you measuring your life against? Two distortions: Comfort Christianity → makes you look better than you are Shame Christianity → makes you look worse than you are A distorted mirror allows you to stay the same but a true reflection invites you to be transformed. WHO JESUS IS Jesus sees you Jesus loves you enough to confront you Jesus heals you Jesus conquered death Jesus invites you beyond belief and into discipleship (following). Crave Different: Spiritual Gifts- Wisdom and Knowledge | March 08, 2026 Mar 08, 2026
    Show notes

Pastor Andy Cass Spiritual gifts often begin in seed form. The question is not only whether you see them, but whether you recognize where they come from. In this message, we explore the Word of Wisdom and the Word of Knowledge—two supernatural gifts of the Spirit that reveal what cannot be naturally known and guide us toward the right action at the right time. Through the life of Jesus and examples throughout Scripture, we see that these gifts are not talents to impress people but Kingdom tools used to build, correct, encourage, and transform lives. TEXT: 1 Corinthians 12:1; 1 Corinthians 12:8; James 1:5; 2 Timothy 4:2; Proverbs 3:12 John 8:1–11; John 4:16–19; 1 Kings 3:16–28; 2 Kings 5:20–27 NOTES: Five Guiding Principles: Word of Wisdom and Word of Knowledge Spiritual gifts go beyond personality, talent, and natural ability. 1. The words of wisdom and knowledge go beyond the surface. 2. They are effective Kingdom tools. 3. They are used for encouragement and correction of the believer 4. Are you open and willing? A Vessel or a recipient? "Most of you have been a recipient of God’s gifts- however we missed giving credit to where it truly came from, God." The fruit of wisdom is transformation. The fruit of knowldedge is clarity and transformation.
