Over the last several years, we have seen politics play an increasingly significant role in the decision-making of so-called law enforcement leaders, attorneys general and elected officials. The rule of law is supposed to be immune to political influence and pressure. This is not the case today. The most notably absurd and dangers ideas regarding public safety and law enforcement have been championed by one of the two prominent political parties. Some of these ideas include no-bail policies, defunding the police, decriminalizing felonious behavior and mass prison depopulation just to name a handful. As future generations examine the current state of affairs regarding the degradation of law enforcement and rule of law, who will they hold accountable? Which party will be on the "wrong side of history?"

William Bodner, a veteran of the Drug Enforcement Administration, assumed the role of Special Agent in Charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration Los Angeles Field Division in June, 2019. As the Special Agent in Charge, Mr. Bodner is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of 14 offices located in Nevada, Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, and the seven Southern California counties which make up the greater Los Angeles area. From 2006 to 2009, Mr. Bodner served as a Staff Coordinator at the Drug Enforcement Administration’s Special Operations Division, and coordinated several high-level, multi-jurisdiction investigative operations.
