You can learn how to use your intuitive superpowers in Julie's free You-est You Community for Soul Seekers on Facebook. To learn more about Julie, go to juliereisler.com. What an honor to record the last episode of the year and share with you my thoughts on intuition. My belief is that tapping into your intuition, your inner wisdom and higher self, is the gate to your you-est you. It is my desire to help you to unlock and trust this innate superpower which we all have. I hope this episode shines the light on your own inner knowing and gifts, and gives you tools how to listen, sense and/or see it. The most important thing is to become open to observing and living from this place of higher knowing. Here are a few of the tools I share that have helped me build my own intuition faith muscle. I'd LOVE to hear your intuition stories, experiences and high point moments. Intuition Boosters:

    1. Meditate/silence daily: this is crucial to get out of the fight/flight stress state and to create a habit of slowing down and tuning in. Your mind will still produce thoughts. You are not doing this incorrectly if you still have thoughts racing in your mind. Find a meditation that is guided, or music, nature sounds or silence and ideally give yourself 10 - 15 minutes (or start with 3 - 5) to be still and in the present moment. Check out the Insight Timer app for incredible free meditations (I have a bunch too, in case they interest you).
    2. Intuitive Journaling: after you meditate, ask your heart wisdom or inner knowing questions or for wisdom. Write down whatever comes to your heart without editing. No need to be articulate or worry about spelling or grammar. This is about connecting to your higher self. Notice the patterns and words that appear over time. I've received some of my best ideas and answers from this process. I'd encourage you to do this daily.
    3. Track your evidence: keep a journal or ongoing list to track evidence of the synchronicities, signs, evidence, clues and intuitive information you are getting. This is a powerful practice that will build your intuition muscle.
Join us over at the free Facebook community to share your stories, evidence and thoughts at The You-est You Community for Soul Seekers. Hope to see you there!

Celebrity Chef Spike Mendelsohn Dec 23, 2019
    Show notes

Spike's career, spanning nearly three decades, can be described as nothing short of creatively diverse. From chef and restaurateur to television personality, product developer and consultant, Spike is a force to be reckoned with in the culinary world. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Spike worked with some of the world's most renowned chefs and restaurateurs such as Gerard Boyer, Thomas Keller, Sirio Maccioni and Drew Nieporent. After making his television debut on Bravo TV's Top Chef, Spike went on to appear on several other cooking-related shows, including Life After Top Chef, Iron Chef America, Late Night Chef Fight and Beat Bobby Flay. He also hosted Midnight Feast and Food Network's Kitchen Sink. In 2008, Spike opened up the first restaurant in his culinary empire on Washington DC's Capitol Hill: Good Stuff Eatery. His burger joint quickly became a favorite of political elites, including President Barack Obama. This success inspired a cookbook (The Good Stuff Cookbook) and multiple locations across the country and overseas. Following the opening of Good Stuff Eatery, Spike opened up We, The Pizza, Béarnaise and Santa Rosa Taqueria. Spike's newest restaurant, PLNT Burger, is dedicated to crafting and redefining some of America's favorite foods without the use of any animal products.Outside of his restaurants, Spike's popular DC speakeasy (The Sheppard) has paved the way for a second concept called The Morris. Applying his experience and expertise as a chef and restaurateur, Spike has worked with several brands by providing them with creative and comprehensive culinary consulting services. His consulting projects include Sunny's and Campton Yard in Miami Beach and Vim & Victor at the state-of-the-art sports and active entertainment center, The St. James, in Virginia. In an effort to put his passion for food equity and education into action, Spike began working with organizations like CARE and DC Central Kitchen as a chef ambassador and contributor. His work landed him the position as the first chairman of DC's Food Policy Council. He has used his voice to speak out about improving the quality of school lunches, equal access to whole and healthy foods and for the protection of the SNAP program. Spike continues to partner with groups like Food Rescue US and Food Policy Action to make a positive impact on our food system. Most recently, Spike has combined his intimate knowledge of the Relais & Chateau kitchen life with his experience in media production by partnering with Show of Force as an executive producer to deliver a riveting and never-before-seen look behind the curtain that is the Inn at Little Washington. The Inn At Little Washington: A Delicious New Documentary will premier at the Virginia Film Festival and air on PBS in early 2020. Spike lives in the DC area with his wife, Cody, and their son. When he's not in the kitchen or lobbying on The Hill, Spike can be found surfing any river or ocean that has a wave. What a powerful and in-depth conversation about how to follow your passion, purpose and talents, and to make positive change while doing so. The main take away for me, in addition to his incredible amount of success with being a chef and restauranteur, and newest endeavor with PLNT Burger, is how he tapped into his creativity and inner voice. We talked a lot about how Spike really used his intuition and stayed connected to his flow state to create a meaningful and impactful career. A powerful reminder is to follow the ideosynchronicities you notice, and your inner voice.

Gina Gardiner on Being Genuinely You Dec 18, 2019
    Show notes

Gina Gardiner is a No1 International Bestselling Author, Motivational Speaker, Empowerment and Relationship Coach and Transformational Leadership Trainer with well over 30 years of experience helping people experience happiness, success and fulfilment. She's the founder of the Thrive Together Tribe membership and personal and spiritual development programme and The Enlightened Leadership Programme. Gina has learned to walk twice as an adult. For over 20 years, she ran her award-winning school, for the most part from a wheelchair. The gift of this experience was the development of a unique approach to life and the development of transformational leadership. In 2004 Gina left the school and has since worked with countless individuals, couples, teams and organisations helping them to step into their potential, to learn the lessons from the past and to recognise that it is their choice to step into their power and live a fearless life. Gina is passionate about supporting people to live a truly happy, successful and fulfilling life. You can find Gina at genuinely-you.com. Gina shared soooo much goodness in this chat. Some of the key take-aways are here, tune in to get the full experience: Things We Learned From This Episode

    1. Disability is a metaphor for life. If you don't feel good enough you'll take that belief with you. If you look at what you can't do, your life becomes smaller. When Gina was told she'd be in a wheelchair, she decided to focus on what she could do and where she could make a difference. A few days later she took the promotion at her school as the new principal, and never looked back. Her wisdom is to focus on what does work.
    2. Tips to change your limiting and crippling beliefs: a) be mindful of the quality of your thoughts, as 95% are habitual. Choose ones that will be life-giving. b) Learn to be grateful and collect gratitudes to help rehabilitate your brain. c) the only person responsible for your quality of life is you. Watch what you're saying and speak carefully affirming yourself whenever you can. An example is, 'while I used to be depressed, I am getting better and better'. Speak positively of yourself in the present tense.

Life Learnings On the Front Line of Disasters with Dr. Dan Diamond Dec 16, 2019
    Show notes

Well known for his work with corporations around the country, Dr. Dan Diamond equips leaders to make a difference when times are tough. Far from just motivational fluff, his rock-solid experience and trench-tested insights have been forged from the "front lines" of disasters around the globe. He was the Director of the Medical Triage Unit at the New Orleans Convention Center following Hurricane Katrina, led one of the first teams into Haiti after their devastating earthquake, and deployed to the Philippines following Typhoon Yolanda. Dr. Diamond is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine at Washington State University. He has received multiple awards including the Red Cross Real Hero Award, the Washington State Governor's Award of Excellence, and President Obama's Volunteer Service Award. He's been seen on CNN, Anderson Cooper, and Larry King Live. This guy's got something to say. Find Dr. Dan at dandiamondmd.com I am so very inspired by Dr. Dan's humility, desire to change the way we interact with one another from a more compassionate place and service to suffering human beings during disastrous events. Here are some of the beautiful take-aways from our conversation. Things We Learned From This Episode

    • The loneliest generation is that of the 18 - 22-year-old population, they are lonelier than the isolated elderly population. Dr. Dan talks about how this is related to being disconnected to ourselves, others and the present moment. It's about being vs. doing, that needs to change.
    • The best way to comfort others in times of tragedy is to talk less, not avoid those in crisis and simply offer your gift of time and being with the person grieving or in a difficult experience. The simple art of being with others, giving a hug and spending time allowing for the other person to be grieving is priceless.
    • To make a real difference, think less of yourself and what the accolades or ways you can benefit, and think more about how you can serve humanity. Dr. Dan is living this on a daily basis and hope this inspires you to take inspired humble action.

Close your eyes and allow yourself to be flooded with those good feelings. Achor in this experience by choosing a place on your body, like your earlobe, that where when you touch your ear, it will remind you of this anchor.

Meet Renown Oracle, Spiritual Advisor to Celebrities and World Leaders, Singer & Author, Rev. June Gatlin Dec 04, 2019
    Show notes

Reverent June Juliet Gatlin is an Oracle, Woman of Prophetic Vision, Inspiration, and Song. Rev. June is a healer, singer and spiritual advisor to the late Michael Jackson as well as to a host of celebrities, personalities, world leaders, business minds, educators, children and me. Rev. June is the author of the bestselling book Spirit Speaks to Sisters and was in the film, Blood, Sweat and Tears, along with Joan Rivers and Rev. Michael Bernard Beckwith (whom she discovered over 33 years ago). Rev. June is a lover of words and reads humans just as we read books. In her reading of what she calls 'The Chapter of Your Book of Life', Rev June communicates all that Spirit speaks to her about the person's Life Chapter and Purpose. Rev June lives in Los Angeles and you can find her at ReverentJuneGatlin.com. Rev June channeled a message for all of us, here is a trascription of what she shared: "Don't pursue your dreams. Actualize your dreams. Don't chase them, make them a reality. Ask yourself, who am I and listen to how you identify with that question. The most important thing you can do is to know yourself, to love yourself and to respect yourself. Give time to yourself to know who you are. You are a child of the most high. Love yourself first, and then you can contribute to others. Remember, it's not your duty or job to judge others. Don't accept limitations. You are limitless. You are here to be your best you, your You-est You, meaning the utmost of who you are. You are here to be fierce and fabulous (especially talking to women here) and to respect your whole self. Clean Beauty with NakedPoppy CEO, Jaleh Bisharat Dec 02, 2019
    Show notes

Jaleh Bisharat is co-founder and CEO of NakedPoppy, a clean beauty tech start-up that curates the very best in clean beauty brands. She previously served as CMO/VP marketing at Amazon, OpenTable, Upwork and Eventbrite. So, she knows the tech world—and she's bringing it to clean beauty with NakedPoppy's patent-pending, online assessment algorithm that identifies perfect-for-you clean makeup picks. Jaleh speaks and writes on topics of concern to purposeful women. Her writing has appeared in a variety of outlets including Business Insider, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, the Huffington Post, Thrive Global, VentureBeat and Women 2.0. A graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School, she's passionate about wellness, sustainability, and clean living. Jaleh didn't realize that her years working in high-level leadership positions learning about how to motivate her employees and teams would prove to be so effective as an entrepreneur starting NakedPoppy. We talked a lot about habits that help you to manage your most powerful asset, your time and attention, as well as why she felt compelled to start a clean beauty company. You'll learn the disturbing information and statistics about women's beauty products and why your dollar and purchases matter. Things We Learned From This Episode Here are some of the core ideas discussed:

    1. Managing your attention is the most important thing you can do to move your life and business forward. Do this by taking time before you unplug each night to go through your calendar and time block chunks of time for being in your flow state, meditating, exercising and scheduling a time for you to be productive.
    2. Jaleh's motto of 'Just Start' and 'Don't Get Distracted' are so powerful and simple, as well as her brilliant point that "The way you manage your attention is your competitive advantage."
    3. When you're starting any kind of business, you want to first start with the question - what problem are we solving? In NakedPoppy's case, Jaleh wanted to give busy women a clean beauty experience that they deserve and love.
    4. Clean beauty is to regular beauty products whats organic food is to processed food. We learned that over 12,500 chemicals are used in standard beauty products in the U.S., 7,500 are allowed in the UK and only 700 are allowed in NakedPoppy. Our current traditional beauty products are actually considered hazardous waste for the environment, which should give a clue how unhealthy they are for your skin and body. NakedPoppy hired a green chemist to review all clean beauty items.
    5. NakedPoppy's four pillars are health (being the most important), environment, animal welfare, and worker safety. You can take the assessment on NakedPoppy.com and it will give you a perfect match of products for your skin and preference
Jaleh is such an inspiring female entrepreneur out to do incredible work to change the way we view and shop for beauty products. I know that I'm convinced it's time to clean out anything that's not a clean beauty product. Hope you'll join me as well.

Jonah Goldman on This Outrageously Delicous Plnt Burger (Part 1: Backstory) Nov 27, 2019
    Show notes

Jonah Goldman is a social entrepreneur, marketing specialist, and environmental activist with a background in the natural food industry, regenerative agriculture, compostable packaging and fighting food waste. Since age 10, Jonah has been a crusader for conscious consumption and ethical eating. After years of passionate arguing against industrial meat and convincing his family and friends to become vegetarian, Jonah studied political science, food policy and food security at Colorado College, while learning firsthand how to affect systemic change on a local and industrial level. Through working with farmers, policy makers and disruptors in the natural food industry, (like Beyond Meat) he came to the conclusion that in order to save the world and ourselves, we must act rapidly to transform global food systems, reclaim health and food sovereignty in our communities, and embrace regenerative agriculture with integrated technology and ecological methods. Jonah recently returned from Israel to help launch a new mission-driven business, PLNT Burger. PLNT Burger is a fast-casual restaurant concept by celebrity Chef Spike Mendelsohn dedicated to crafting and redefining some of America's favorite foods. Spike Mendelsohn is best known in DC for his restaurants (Good Stuff Eatery and We the Pizza) and his numerous television appearances (Top Chef, Iron Chef America, Beat Bobby Flay). He was also the first chairman of DC's Food Policy Council. With a focus on juicy, indulgent burgers, soft-serve, savory snacks and seasonal salads, PLNT Burger's mission is to give people the ability to 'Eat the Change' with delicious foods they love and crave. PLNT Burger offerings are free of any animal products, without compromising flavor, nutrition or experience. Goldman maintains his rebellious spirit and conviction that each person can be an agent of change whether they know it or not. He is a firm believer in business as a force for good, regenerative agriculture and policies that promote food justice, a true sense of food security, and return economic power to people, not corporations. Despite current events, he remains optimistic about the planet's future. These burgers are outrageously delicious. I was just there on Sunday twice, because they are that good. If you are even in the 100 mile radius vicinity of the DC area, I can't recommend PLNT Burger enough. It's crazy good. Things We Learned From This Episode

    1. Get in the habit of questioning your habits and what you eat, do and say. Often times we get stuck in behaviors that don't serve our highest good. There are incredible plant based options now, like Beyond Meat, that are made with incredible ingredients and with out GMO's, soy and other additives.
    2. We are all like an oak tree that started as an acorn, every one of us has massive potentiality for greatness and for making an impact. Think about how you really want to nourish the seed that is you.
    3. The values of PLNT Burger (which also stands for plant, planet and plentiful) are great tenets to live by: Bring people joy, respect and celebrate all of life, act with intention, connect to the source and create positive change together.
    4. You can have your burger and eat your plants too.
