Show notes

Your favourite morning radio pundits Hambo and the Nic are here to discuss the weird nostalgia of returning to Final Fantasy XV, get angry about how awful Life is Strange: Before the Storm's bonus episode is, get confused by the absurdity of video game violence hysteria, get excited by that latest Nintendo Direct, as well as see the return of the much-demanded Powerviolence Minute.

Writing on GamesCast Ep.75 - Plumbob Danguspants Mar 01, 2018

It feels weird releasing on a Thursday for the first time in months. To celebrate, as usual, we're talking all the hot new releases - Onimusha, Gunpla, and working out the plot to our new romantic comedy My French Son (starring Matthew McConaughey). We also discuss that Chrono Trigger "PC port", punching horses in Kingdom Come Deliverance, the battle of attrition that is Tekken Mobile, and everyone's favourite characters from Final Fantasy XV... Llama and Plumbob from The Sims 4.

Writing on GamesCast Ep.74 - Dandy War Holes Feb 18, 2018

Show notes

We're back to talk about all the monster hunting games you can think of. Monster Hunter World, Shadow of the Colossus, that new mobile Tekken game... you name it, it's a monster, we'll play or hunt it. I am very tired and have no idea what I'm talking about. We also dive deep on Viva La Bam, Karl Pilkington's Rockbusters, and KingK's recent shenanigans. Grab yourself a BK Joe!

Show notes

We're now fully into 2018 and we have actual new games to show for it! Good ones too! So obviously we spend most of the podcast talking about how Heavy Rain might legitimately be worse than Ride to Hell. Don't worry, we discuss hot new release Ehrgeiz too. God bless this mess! (monster hunter and dragon ball fighterz might also be mentioned ok)

Writing on GamesCast Ep.72 - The Pod-igal Sons Return Jan 20, 2018

Show notes

We're back to deal with countless audio and technical issues as well as discuss all the hot new games; real, emotional experiences designed to move the medium of games forward. Games like HQ Trivia and Ride to Hell Retribution. We also talk about Divinity Original Sin 2 (the best game ever), Life is Strange: Before the Storm (the worst) and Metal Gear Survive (...eh, I dunno). Also stick around until the very end to hear us discuss the latest Liam Neeson movie. It's very, very dumb.

Writing on GamesCast Ep.69 - Nikki Sixx...tynine Dec 09, 2017

Show notes

Hey everyone! It's no one's favourite time of the year! The Game Awards! Join us as we talk about the evolving nature of the show, discuss the reveals, that mad cunt who told the Oscars to fuck themselves up or something, and get legitimately heated over that Death Stranding trailer. Oh, and Hamish played Ride to Hell: Retribution for some reason. Nikki Sixx looks like an aged Lambhoot. This is a good'un.

Writing on GamesCast Ep.68 - Mean American Sensei Dec 03, 2017

Show notes

Feels like we say this every time but major apologies for the delay. Schedule stuff has been wild. That said, Hamish has finally started to conquer the beast that is his MGSV analysis, so WE'RE GETTING THERE. Join us for a bumper episode talking Tekken, Sonic, revelling in being a dumbass and randomly quoting Chris Morris shows.

Writing on GamesCast Ep.67 - Baguettaboutit Nov 18, 2017

Show notes

Hamish is back uploading videos and Nico's tooth got better. Things may be returning to something resembling normalcy, thank god. To celebrate, let's talk the hottest new releases such as DOOM, LA Noire, Skyrim, and explain Final Fantasy VIII to you. We also discuss where Wolfenstein 2 both succeeds and stumbles, the mess that is Star Wars Battlefront 2, and why we might be done with PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Hold onto yer bawbags!
