    BEOGA is the Irish word for �lively�. The group is a five-piece traditional band based in County Antrim, Ireland. NICK OGAWA is a cellist and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. His new album, Introduction, travels through blues, folk, and pop styles on the way to his distinctive contemporary sound.

    HOMEMADE JAMZ BLUES BAND are three young siblings from Tueplo, MS whose firey original blues tunes are played on homemade guitars made out of car mufflers. THE BARRA MacNEILS are a family group that is deeply rooted in Celtic music, culture and history that hail from from Sydney Mines, Cape Breton Island, and Nova Scotia in Canada.

    THE EBONY HILLBILLIES are one of the last black string bands in AMERICA. They are based in NYC, consisting of fiddle, banjo, washboard and bass fiddle, and have successfully created a huge following while maintaining their grassroots credibility. THE CAT MARY call their music "Kitchen-Sink Americana." Based out of San Diego, the band blends acountry blues, ragtime, modern jazz, progressive acoustic music.

    DAR WILLIAMS as a young songwriter in the north east, she began to make the rounds on the coffeehouse circuit. An early fan of her music was Joan Baez, who took Williams out on the road and recorded several of her songs. Williams self-released her debut album,The Honesty Room in 1993, then signed with Razor & Tie Records in 1995, which has been her label home ever since. She has also written two novels. Her second Lights, Camera, Amalee just became available in paperback.

    THE GABE DIXON BAND was formed with Dixon - then a classical piano major at the University of Miami - and his two college roommates, bassist Winston Harrison and drummer Jano Rix.Gabe played keyboards on Paul McCartney�s CD, Driving Rain. CAROLINE HERRING digs deep into the rich soil of American music for her sound on her new CD Lantana. Her album cements her status as a story teller. The subject matter on the album is deeply rooted in the rural south.

    THE DEL McCOURY BAND is the premier bluegrass band in America and returns to the WoodSongs stage for a one hour special event devoted to their new album Moneyland which is a hard-hitting look at economic injustice through songs old and new. Del first gained attention in the early 1960s as lead singer and guitarist for Bill Monroe's fabled Blue Grass Boys band. In recent years, he has led his own band, aided by sons Ronnie and Rob. CHRIS KNIGHT is a great Kentucky songwriter, who also appears on the Moneyland CD, and makes a special guest appearance on the show.

    Jakob Dylan is the lead singer of The Wallflowers who had a monster hit with the song "One Headlight." He is also the songwriter son of the legendary Bob Dylan. MINTON SPARKS Minton paints word pictures of the rural South that put you square in the middle of the people and the place she knows like the back of her hand.

    GEOFF ACHISON has a reputation as a guitarist�s guitarist. Fans of Tommy Emmanuel will love his playing, and he was recently voted by Guitar Player Magazine as one of the "Top Ten Hottest New Guitarists." THE BAND OF HEATHENS are roots rock band based out of Austin, Texas. During the 2007�s South By Southwest the band took home an award for "Best New Band."
