    Dr. Alison Jackson-Wood holds bachelor's and master's degrees in Early Childhood Education, two seminary degrees, including a post-graduate credential in Cross Cultural Studies, and a Ph.D. in Policy Studies in Higher Education, with a focus on Internationalization. She began her professional life as an educator, later transitioning to vocational ministry and eventually to higher education, where she taught education majors for 15 years. She is now the Executive Director of Bethesda House, a shelter and home in South Alabama for women and children who are escaping domestic violence.
